Real name: Cecil B. Heimerdinger Alias(es): The Revered Inventor, Professor Heimerdinger Species: Yordle Age: 321 years old Place of origin: Bandle City Current residence: Piltover

A brilliant yet eccentric yordle scientist, Professor Cecil B. Heimerdinger is lauded as one of the most innovative minds and esteemed inventors Piltover has ever seen. Relentless in his work to the point of neurotic obsession, he is fascinated by mysteries that have confounded his contemporaries for decades, and thrives on answering the universe’s most impenetrable questions. Though his theories often appear opaque and esoteric, Heimerdinger believes knowledge should be shared, and is devoted to teaching all who desire it.

Appearance: Heimerdinger is a skinny light skinned Yordle. His most prominent feature is his lush blond hair on his head (alternating between curly and straight), blue eyes, as well as his white mustache. He wears typical laboratory dark grey coat, gloves, as well as goggles that protect him during dangerous experimentation. Eventually he would incorporate his D.I.N.G.R. machine, an extended third arm that is strapped on top of his head.

Personality: Heimerdinger is an eccentric, endlessly curious, and remarkably brilliant inventor whose mind never stops whirring with ideas. He’s deeply passionate about science and discovery, approaching every problem with meticulous analysis and boundless enthusiasm. Despite his immense intellect, he can be scatterbrained and overly focused on theory, sometimes losing sight of practical concerns or the bigger picture. He has an endearing, almost childlike wonder for invention, constantly tinkering and experimenting, and he tends to speak in long, technical tangents. Though gentle and kind-hearted, Heimerdinger can also be stubborn and set in his ways, reluctant to embrace ideas that conflict with his understanding of science. Above all, he is driven by an unshakable belief in progress and the power of knowledge to improve the world.

Yordle Physiology: Heimerdinger is a Yordle, a being coming from the Spirit Realm and possesses several abilities natural of his species. Immortality: Being spiritual beings, Yordles don't age the same way as normal humans, and they can't normally die. Yordle Magic: Just like any Yordle, Heimerdinger is capable of performing yordle magic, which he utilizes in tandem with his skills as a scientists and inventor.

Runeterra is a magical world composed of a physical realm and a Spirit Realm, forming a barrier between cosmic forces of creation and destruction. Its continents include Valoran, Shurima, and Camavor, with vast oceans, seas, and islands such as Ionia and the Shadow Isles. The planet orbits a G-type star and has a moon, both mirrored in the Spirit Realm.

Centuries ago, ancient artifacts called World Runes were rediscovered, believed to be tied to Runeterra's creation. Their destructive power triggered the Rune Wars—devastating conflicts over control of the runes. In response, the mage Ryze began collecting and sealing them to prevent further catastrophe.

Runeterra hosts countless sapient species, from beastlike beings to near-divine entities. Some are aggressive or monstrous, while others are intelligent and peaceful. Revenants—souls bound to vessels or remains—also exist, blurring the line between life and death.

Piltover is a thriving, progressive city whose power and influence is on the rise. It is Valoran’s cultural center, where art, craftsmanship, trade and innovation walk hand in hand. Its power comes not through military might, but the engines of commerce and forward thinking. Situated on the cliffs above the district of Zaun and overlooking the ocean, fleets of ships pass through its titanic sea-gates, bringing goods from all over the world. The wealth this generates has given rise to an unprecedented boom in the city’s growth. Piltover has - and still is - reinventing itself as a city where fortunes can be made and dreams can be lived. Burgeoning merchant clans fund development in the most incredible endeavors: grand artistic follies, esoteric hextech research, and architectural monuments to their power. With ever more inventors delving into the emergent lore of hextech, Piltover has become a lodestone for the most skilled craftsmen the world over.
