Zalika, known as Hack, grows up in the Korogoro Slums of Kenya and is forced to work for a gang before her powers fully develop. After her brother dies from injuries caused by that gang’s punishment, Zalika’s technopathic ability lets her trap her captors inside a mobile phone and destroy them with a computer virus. She then starts stealing from banks and major companies through digital systems, until a Russian named Karla captures her and keeps her imprisoned. Task Force X later finds her during a mission, and Zalika proves useful enough that they take her with them.
As Hack, she works with Task Force X and forms a strong attachment to Harley Quinn, whom she had admired since childhood. She helps during missions involving Zod and later becomes central to the mystery of a traitor inside the group, but Captain Boomerang kills her after she confronts the wrong suspect. Her consciousness survives in digital form through Belle Reve’s systems, letting her return as living code while searching for the person who murdered her. After learning the truth, Hack nearly kills Boomerang, but she ultimately saves the Squad before her unstable digital existence begins breaking down.
Appearance: Hack has deep brown skin and a tall, slim curvy build with a fitted waist, narrow shoulders, and long arms. She has dark braided hair pulled up into two large buns with a red tie (one on each side), brown eyes behind black rectangular glasses, glossy dark lips, and a colorful neck tattoo of Harley Quinn visible above her collar. She wears a tight black bodysuit with short sleeves, orange-gold vertical panels, blue-gray center sections, a high collar, and the number “722” printed down the front side panel. Her arms are covered in large colorful tattoos featuring stylized faces of Harley Quinn and bold graphic shapes, and she wears black gloves that extend past the wrists.
Personality: Zalika, known as Hack, is earnest and highly devoted once she chooses someone to trust. She admires Harley Quinn before meeting her, and after being rescued by Task Force X, that admiration becomes a real attachment rather than distant hero-worship. Her background in the Korogoro Slums leaves her with a hard history, but she does not act like a cold mercenary; she is more openly enthusiastic than most people around the Squad.
Her main relations are with Harley Quinn and Task Force X. Harley becomes the person Hack looks up to most, while the Squad becomes the group she aids after her rescue. Amanda Waller uses Hack’s technopathic ability as an asset, placing her under the same dangerous command structure as the rest of Task Force X. Hack also becomes connected to Captain Boomerang after unconsciously converting him into digital information following his death, then later helping restore him through her powers.
Hack’s main power is technopathy. Zalika can enter electronic systems, control machines directly, and turn her own body into digital information so she can move through devices. She can also carry others through electronics by converting them into data, which is how Captain Boomerang is later restored after being turned into digital information at the moment of death.
In digital form, Hack can become intangible or solid again, fire electrical energy, and alter her size or density when she has enough power. She can communicate with machines, repair technology by touch, cleanse herself of viruses, and store huge amounts of information in her mind. Her normal skill also includes world-class hacking, making her dangerous even before her powers are used directly in the field.

The servers in the lower security wing hummed with a deafening rattle, throwing a harsh, artificial blue glow over Hack’s skin as she pressed her palms flat against the mainframe's cooling housing. Her dark braided hair bounced against her shoulders as she tapped her foot, her brown eyes widening behind her rectangular glasses while she watched the secondary firewalls crumble under her digital entry. She didn't care about Amanda Waller's strict security protocols or the explosive nano-bomb currently ticking away in her neck; she was completely focused on the massive data streams rushing through the facility.
"They're assuming their fancy government firewalls can actually keep out someone who learned to manipulate code before they could even afford an actual computer," she said.
"Call me Hack. I'm going to be the most powerful super-villain you will ever meet."
