Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 is bitten by a genetically altered spider and becomes Spider-Woman while keeping a normal life as the drummer for the Mary Janes. Her friend Peter Parker, bullied and desperate to become special, turns himself into the Lizard and dies after fighting her. Gwen is blamed for Peter’s death, and Captain George Stacy hunts Spider-Woman until Gwen reveals her identity to him.

Gwen keeps fighting while her life is pulled deeper into crime around New York. Matt Murdock becomes one of her most dangerous enemies, and Cindy Moon’s work eventually leaves Gwen without her original spider powers. Gwen regains power through the Earth-65 Venom symbiote, becoming Gwenom, then later accepts legal responsibility for Peter’s death and serves prison time before returning to hero work under the name Ghost-Spider.

Gwen later becomes tied to wider Spider-Totem conflicts and spends more time away from Earth-65. After being trapped on Earth-616, she is drawn into a conflict involving Loki, time authorities, and a Cosmic Cube that rewrites her place in that world. Her life is ultimately reworked so she can remain there, leaving her to build a new home as Ghost-Spider while her past continues following her.

Appearance: Ghost Spider's skin is completely hidden beneath her suit. A white hood covers her head, revealing a dark pink interior patterned with web lines. Her face is obscured by a white mask featuring large white lenses framed by thick pink rims. A form-fitting bodysuit covers her athletic frame, accentuating the curves of her breasts and waist. The upper chest, shoulders, and outer arms are white. A black section creates a sharp V-shape across the chest and extends down the torso. Purple panels with pink web patterns run along the inner arms and sides of the ribcage. The black fabric continues downwards to encase her pelvis and legs. Her thighs and calves are covered in this dark material. Her feet feature teal soles and toe caps that contrast with the black leggings.

Personality: Gwen Stacy is guilt-driven and guarded, carrying Peter Parker’s death as the event that shapes nearly every choice she makes. She covers fear with sarcasm and stage confidence, but she is usually harder on herself than anyone else is. She wants to be heroic without being treated like a symbol, which makes her resist authority even when she knows she needs help. Her music gives her a place to feel normal, while the mask lets her turn grief into action instead of letting it crush her.

Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 is guarded, guilt-driven, and sarcastic under pressure. She carries the death of Earth-65 Peter Parker as the wound that defines her hero life, while Earth-65 George Stacy is her strongest family bond because he is both her father and the police captain who once hunted Spider-Woman. Earth-65 Mary Jane Watson is tied to Gwen through the Mary Janes, but their friendship is strained by Gwen’s secrecy and constant disappearances. Earth-65 Matt Murdock is a major enemy who exploits her guilt, while Earth-65 Cindy Moon damages Gwen’s life by stripping away her original spider powers.

Her Earth-616 relations are separate from her home-world cast. Miles Morales was born from Earth-1610 but now lives on Earth-616, making him one of Gwen’s strongest cross-reality bonds and a major Spider ally. Earth-616 Peter Parker is not her Peter Parker, but he becomes an important Spider-hero connection through multiverse conflicts. Earth-616 Gwen Stacy is a different Gwen, so she should not be treated as the same person as Ghost-Spider. Gwen’s move into Earth-616 places her in a new life away from Earth-65, but her core emotional history still comes from the Earth-65 people who shaped her.

Earth-65 Gwen originally gained spider-like powers from a genetically altered spider, including enhanced strength and speed, wall-crawling, heightened reflexes, and a warning sense for danger. After Earth-65 Cindy Moon stripped away her original powers, Gwen’s abilities became tied to the Earth-65 Venom symbiote, which restored her combat ability and let her operate as Ghost-Spider through a living suit rather than only through the spider bite.

Her main equipment is a pair of wrist-mounted web-shooters made by Earth-65 Janet van Dyne. They filter moisture from the air into web-fluid and can form web-lines, nets, cocoons, and gliding web-wings.
