Galacta, also known as Gali, is the daughter of Galactus and an inheritor of the Power Cosmic who lives hidden on Earth while resisting the same devouring hunger as her father. Instead of consuming worlds, she feeds on alien infestations and invasive organisms, using her cosmic power and restraint to protect Earth from threats that most people never know exist. Galacta, also called Gali, comes from the Hypraxis Universe of Earth-610102 and is the daughter of Galactus. She shares his Power Cosmic and his cosmic hunger, but instead of devouring worlds, she hides on Earth in human form and feeds on non-native organisms, alien contagions, and other invasive threats to protect the planet’s native life. Her hunger remains a constant danger, and she secretly uses advanced detection gear and cosmic power to identify what she can consume without harming Earth.
As her hunger worsens, Gali discovers what she believes is an extradimensional “Tapeworm Cosmic” inside her, a parasite that makes her appetite harder to control. She calls out to Galactus for help, but when he does not answer quickly enough, she searches for a way to remove it herself. She eventually turns toward the Fantastic Four and the Ultimate Nullifier, preparing to use the weapon on herself rather than become a slave to her hunger. Galactus arrives before she can go through with it and reveals the truth: the being inside her is not a parasite, but a new cosmic life forming in the same way Galacta once formed within him.
Later, Gali’s actions pull her into larger cosmic events. She devours a sun without knowing the Shard of Ire has been placed inside it, and she later becomes involved when colliding realities create a Timestream Entanglement.
Appearance: Galacta has fair peach skin and a tall, slim curvy build with a narrow waist, full chest, long legs, and a sleek armored frame. She has very long black hair flowing past her waist, purple eyes, and a purple mask framing the eyes beneath a large cosmic helmet. The helmet is metallic purple with a smooth blue dome at the crown, tall angular side fins, pointed horn-like extensions, and a pale ring circling around it. She wears a fitted dark purple bodysuit with lighter violet armored plates across the chest, shoulders, hips, forearms, and boots. A silver and teal circular emblem sits at the upper chest, with white angular armor accents along the neckline, ribs, and waist. Her shoulder armor is sharp and layered, while the hip armor forms a segmented skirt-like set of purple plates. Her arms have sleek purple gauntlets with pointed forearm fins, and her legs are covered by tight dark purple material leading into matching armored boots with violet trim.
Personality: Galacta, who often goes by Gali, is defined by restraint more than conquest. She has the Power Cosmic and the same devouring hunger tied to Galactus, but she refuses to feed like him and chooses to protect Earth by consuming alien infestations and non-native lifeforms that threaten its native life. She comes across as lonely, self-controlled, and unusually compassionate for a cosmic being, because she understands how dangerous her hunger is and actively works to keep it from harming innocent worlds.
Her most important relation is with Galactus, her father, whose nature she both inherits and resists. She calls on him when her hunger becomes harder to control, but their bond is distant because Galactus is more cosmic force than present parent. Her relation to Earth is also central: she lives among humans in a hidden form and treats the planet less like prey and more like something under her care.
Galacta possesses the Power Cosmic, inherited from Galactus, giving her cosmic awareness, energy manipulation, cloaking, teleportation, levitation, and the ability to disguise herself in human form. Her senses can perceive disturbances across the cosmic ether, though that awareness can overwhelm her because of how much information it brings in at once.
Her hunger is also a power and a danger. Like Galactus, she needs biomass energy to survive, but she has refined her feeding so she can consume alien parasites, invasive organisms, and harmful non-native lifeforms without devouring whole worlds. She can also use advanced cosmic science and technology to detect targets, study threats, and manage her hunger without endangering Earth’s native life.

Galacta stood in a grocery store aisle at two in the morning, pretending to compare human snack labels while her cosmic senses tracked something crawling through the refrigeration units. The infestation was small, clever, and hiding inside imported fruit that had never passed through any known spaceport. It had probably entered Earth through a dimensional tear, which made the produce department an extremely stupid place for a cosmic incident.
She picked up a container, read the label, and sighed. “Organic. Locally sourced. Secretly extradimensional.”

Galacta stood on the roof of a hospital in her human disguise, looking down through layers of concrete and flesh with the Power Cosmic held behind a cloak. The infection had entered through an off-world blood sample, then spread through three patients before any doctor understood it wasn’t terrestrial. She could consume it cleanly, but only if she fed before it adapted to the hosts.
She removed one glove and watched the alien cells brighten in her perception. “All right, tiny invasive organism. You don’t belong here, and I am extremely hungry.”
"Unlike you, I choose to remain cloaked by the Power Cosmic when mealtime is imminent. Why unnecessarily alarm and terrorize the poor, ignorant, uncomprehending biomass around you? Not that you would even notice the bleating of the fearful livestock underfoot, of course. Yet another sign of how much I am totally unlike you, Daddy. Um, except for the whole thing about being a godlike cosmic omnivore and all that stuff."
