Tsuyu Asui, the hero student known as Froppy, grew up as the eldest child in a busy household and learned early to take care of herself and her younger siblings while her parents worked. After entering U.A. High School’s Class 1-A, she quickly proved herself calm under pressure during the villain attack at the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. Stranded in the Flood Zone with Izuku Midoriya and Minoru Mineta, Tsuyu used her swimming ability, powerful legs, and tongue to help the group escape the aquatic villains and regroup with the rest of the class. She later competed in the U.A. Sports Festival, reached the cavalry battle, and continued developing the versatility of her Frog Quirk through increasingly demanding training.

During her first professional internship, Tsuyu worked with the aquatic hero Selkie, taking part in maritime patrols and assisting during a confrontation with smugglers at sea. She later survived the League of Villains’ attack on the forest training camp and struggled with the decision made by several classmates to pursue Bakugo’s rescue outside official channels, openly admitting afterward that their willingness to break the rules had frightened and upset her. Tsuyu nevertheless remained closely involved with the class and later passed the Provisional Hero License Exam, demonstrating greater control over rescue work and coordinated combat.

By the time of the conflict surrounding the Shie Hassaikai and U.A.’s School Festival, Tsuyu had become one of Class 1-A’s more dependable licensed trainees. She continued participating in hero exercises and rescue preparation while supporting classmates returning from the Hassaikai operation. Her progress centered less on dramatic changes in raw strength and more on refining the broad range of abilities granted by her Quirk, making her increasingly reliable in environments where mobility, rescue, and rapid adaptation mattered.

Appearance: Tsu has light peach skin and a petite, athletic build with a narrow frame, long limbs, and distinctly frog-like proportions. Her eyes are exceptionally large and dark, with broad black pupils surrounded by white sclera beneath thin brows. Her hair is extremely long, thick, and dark forest green, falling in heavy sweeping sections well past her waist with several curled, ribbon-like ends. Long bangs frame both sides of her face, while shorter strands cross the forehead. A pale headpiece sits across the crown with two large golden-yellow cylindrical protrusions rising from it. Her most unusual physical feature is an exceptionally long pink tongue that extends far beyond her mouth, broadening into a thick flexible length with a rounded tip.

She wears a fitted green hero suit accented with black, cream, and narrow yellow piping. The torso is predominantly vivid green with dark sleeves and rounded black sections covering the shoulders and upper limbs, while cream-colored harness-like pieces cross near the neck and upper chest. Large cream gauntlets cover her forearms and hands, with oversized glove fingers and green rectangular armor plates mounted above the wrists. A thick cream utility ring circles her waist, punctuated by large round green openings. Her thighs and lower legs are covered in glossy black sections bordered by thin yellow lines, while green material remains visible between the darker panels. Her feet are shaped into exaggerated frog-like footwear with long green toes ending in rounded bulbous tips, accompanied by additional small rounded green protrusions along the sides.

Personality: Tsuyu is calm, blunt, practical, and unusually composed for her age. She tends to say exactly what she thinks rather than soften an uncomfortable truth, but her directness comes from sincerity rather than cruelty. Tsuyu rarely panics even when circumstances become dangerous, which makes her especially dependable during emergencies. She is also strongly attached to rules and mutual trust, and the unauthorized attempt to rescue Bakugo affected her deeply because she feared her friends were beginning to act like the villains they opposed. When she believes she has been too harsh, however, she is willing to admit it openly and repair the damage.

Ochaco Uraraka becomes one of Tsuyu’s closest friends, with the two frequently training and spending time together at U.A. Izuku Midoriya earns her trust during the USJ attack, where his quick thinking complements her calm judgment, and Tsuyu remains comfortable working beside him afterward. She frequently deals with Minoru Mineta’s behavior with blunt disapproval and has little patience for his attempts to cross personal boundaries. Selkie becomes an important professional mentor during her internship, teaching her how hero work functions beyond school exercises, while Sirius serves as another supportive senior figure aboard his patrol vessel. Tsuyu is broadly protective of Class 1-A and considers its members genuine friends even when she strongly disagrees with their decisions.

Tsuyu’s Quirk, Frog, gives her the physical traits and abilities of a frog. She possesses exceptional jumping power, strong swimming ability, the capacity to cling to walls and ceilings, and an extensible tongue capable of grabbing people or objects from several meters away. She can also camouflage herself by altering her coloration to blend with her surroundings and secrete a mildly toxic mucus capable of irritating or numbing anyone exposed to it.

Her combat style relies on mobility and control rather than raw force. Tsuyu uses her legs for powerful leaps and kicks, her tongue for restraints and rescues, and her wall-crawling ability to attack or reposition from unconventional angles. She is especially effective in aquatic environments, where her swimming speed and natural maneuverability make her difficult to pursue, while her calm judgment allows her to use those abilities just as effectively for evacuation and search-and-rescue work.
