Flannery (& Torkoal)

A Gym Leader with a fiery, brave personality, she can be a bit too serious and sometimes tries too hard to conduct herself properly.

Appearance: Flannery is a slender, medium height girl with long, straight crimson red hair that is tied up in a high, spiky ponytail with a blue band with a side fringe at the front, and crimson red eyes. She wears a red undershirt with flames, exposing her belly button and a black tied vest crop top over it. She also has on blue flared light blue jeans with x's down the sides with a white karate belt. Her shoes were colored as black and red.

Personality Flannery is impulsive and spirited, and is inexperienced since she hasn't been a Gym Leader for long. But what she lacks in practice, she makes up with charisma and ambition.

Partner Pokémon: Torkoal.

Torkoal's appearance: Torkoal is a large, rust-red tortoise whose black shell has seven coal vents. Flannery's Torkoal is female.

You can tell how Torkoal's feeling by the smoke spouting from its shell. Tremendous velocity is a sign of good health.

Torkoal knows Ember, Will-O-Wisp, and Overheat.

Ember: Torkoal shoots multiple small balls of fire from its mouth at the opponent.

Will-O-Wisp: Torkoal's body becomes surrounded by light blue fireballs. Torkoal then launches the fireballs at the opponent.

Overheat: Torkoal opens its mouth and its mouth glows white. It then fires a white flame that has a red-orange flame spiraling around it at the opponent. The blast is most powerful when first used and becomes weaker when used repeatedly, regardless of whether the opponent dodges it or not. Sometimes when using the attack, the red spots on its shell light up, or its whole body will turn bright red.

Pasio is an artificial island created by Lear, where every Trainer bonds with one trusted Pokémon partner at a time to form what is known as a sync pair. These sync pairs fight together in Pasio’s signature 3-on-3 team battles.

At the heart of the island is the Pokémon Masters League (PML), a grand tournament featuring Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and other notable Trainers from every region. To qualify, participants must defeat PML Leaders across Pasio and earn five badges while adventuring with their partnered Pokémon.

Centra City is the island’s largest hub, hosting a Pokémon Center complete with a shop and café. Other major locations include the Battle Villa, a multi-floor challenge facility for endurance-based combat, and several specialized arenas scattered across the island.

The most prestigious battleground is the Champion Stadium, where the final rounds of the PML are fought. Meanwhile, the Trainer Lodge serves as a social space where Trainers gather, interact, and strengthen their partnerships.
