A distinguished Akademiya scholar from "a century ago" and one of the founders of Ancient Mechanics as a field of study. Although she hailed from Haravatat, she was renowned for her talents in machinery throughout Sumeru... Even though these honors have been forgotten in the river of time, much as she has. Madam Faruzan is a legendary researcher of the Sumeru Akademiya who, despite her youthful appearance, is over a century old. A distinguished member of the Haravatat Darshan (which specializes in linguistics and ancient texts), she is paradoxically a master of mechanics whose century-old manuscripts are still essential reading for students of the Kshahrewar school. Her life was irrevocably altered when she was trapped inside a puzzle-filled ruin related to King Deshret for one hundred years. The ruin's mysterious power kept her body in stasis, halting her aging and hunger, but left her mind active, forcing her to spend a lifetime solving complex ciphers and mechanisms to escape.

Upon finally solving the puzzle and returning to Sumeru, Faruzan found herself "unmoored on time's ocean." All her friends, family, and rivals had long since passed away, and the Akademiya now viewed her research methods as "obsolete." Despite this tragedy, she refuses to wallow in the past. She maintains a haughty, authoritative demeanor, demanding that all younger scholars (which is everyone) address her as "Madam" and treat her with the respect due a senior researcher. She is fiercely critical of the current generation's lack of discipline but also deeply cares for those who show promise, specifically targeting Collei as a potential student because she recognizes the girl's resilience in the face of suffering.

Her Anemo Vision was granted in the moments immediately following her escape from the ruins. Blinded by the sunlight and succumbing to the sudden return of a century's worth of hunger, she was guided by the wind through the wilderness until she collapsed near a merchant caravan, where the Vision was found shining beside her.

Appearance: Faruzan is an average height. She has fair skin, and her hair is a turquoise gradient, from pale turquoise at the roots to a darker turquoise at the ends. She has messy bangs that frame the sides of her face, and her hair is cut short except for two locks of hair that mimic twin tails. Her eyes are a pale shade of blue and are partially golden, and her pupils are interestingly heterochromic and triangle-shaped; her right eye is a pale shade of Aquamarine and her left eye is a dark shade of Indigo. Faruzan's hair is styled with an X-shaped golden hairpin on the left side, and several golden triangular and X-shaped hairpins on the back side. The locks of hair that mimic twintails hang loose. Faruzan wears a layered white dress with detached sleeves, decorated with numerous golden trinkets and gems, most notably around the neck and upper arms. She has a set of X-shaped trinkets pinned just above her skirt, which is decorated with some flower-shaped pieces held together by dark blue ribbons with a dark blue undercoat with a design similar to an isometric grid filled with blue and green. Under this, she wears a gold trinket around her right thigh, and a pair of high heeled sandals. She wears a set of gold square-shaped bracelets on her left wrist along with a gold ring on her middle finger, and a number of chained jewelry around her wrist and right hand. Her Vision is pinned to the back of her skirt.

Personality: Despite being a Haravatat scholar, Faruzan specializes more in the Kshahrewar studies, being highly knowledgeable in machine mechanics and language. She's highly respected in the Kshahrewar school for her contributions, but she still remains a Haravatat scholar and refuses any attempts to join Kshahrewar. Due to technically living longer than others in part due to the King Deshret ruins she had been trapped in, she self-identifies as a senior despite her youthful appearance and demands respect from them. While proud and a bit stubborn, Faruzan does secretly struggle with coming to terms with her circumstances since her old friends and family had passed on in her absence as many believed her to be dead.

Due to the circumstances involved in her entombment, many people tend to see her thesis and points being outdated. As a result of her supposedly "outdated" research, Faruzan has issues acquiring Mora, which frequently baffles and irritates her. She becomes extremely delighted when offered a large amount of payment.

Weapon: She uses a bow.

Faruzan uses an Anemo Vision.

Normal Attack Parthian Shot - Faruzan demonstrates the lost archery arts of the scholars of old. She can loose a rapid volley of four arrows with calculated precision or take a steady aim to gather the high winds upon her arrowhead, releasing a projectile infused with pure Anemo energy. Should she descend from a height, she rains down a shower of arrows to clear the area before landing with a gust of wind.

Elemental Skill Wind Realm of Nasamjnin - Drawing upon her knowledge of ancient mechanics, Faruzan deploys a floating polyhedron—a geometric construct of her own design—that unleashes a burst of pressurized wind to repel those too close. This device grants her the "Manifest Gale" state, altering her next aimed shot into a Hurricane Arrow. Upon impact, this specialized projectile triggers a "Pressurized Collapse," manipulating atmospheric pressure to create a localized vortex that violently pulls in nearby objects and foes, trapping them within the center of the implosion.

Elemental Burst The Wind's Secret Ways - Unveiling her research masterpiece, Faruzan summons a "Dazzling Polyhedron," a complex construct that navigates the battlefield in a perfect triangular trajectory. As the device reaches each vertex of its path, it releases a powerful "Whirlwind Pulse." These pulses serve a dual purpose: they destabilize the enemy's defenses, making them significantly more susceptible to the power of the wind, while simultaneously guiding the air currents to bolster and amplify the Anemo abilities of her allies.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.

Sumeru: Region located in the west-central part of Teyvat. A fantastical nation of both lush rainforest and barren desert, where countless fruits of wisdom grow and are buried. Whether Travelers travel from afar through the forest to reach the academy city or delve deep into the desert to discover the historical ruins of the red desert, a wealth of valuable knowledge awaits them here.

Sumeru City is known across Teyvat as the "City of Wisdom." It is under the jurisdiction of the Sumeru Akademiya and is built on top of the Divine Tree.

The Sumeru Akademiya is Sumeru's main governing body, as well as the most prestigious institute of learning in all of Teyvat, located in the middle of the tree trunk of Sumeru City. It is particularly renowned for its corpus in arcane arts and historical records.

Grand Bazaar is a point of interest located in Sumeru City. It is known as a lively, artistic space, filled with merchants selling handmade products.

Haravatat is one of the Six Darshans, the six main schools of Sumeru Akademiya. It is specialized in semiotics, the study of sign processes and meaning-making, and includes disciplines such as linguistics and ancient runes studies. Their recognized color is black and its sage is Khajeh. The mascot on their symbol resembles a bull.

The primary antagonists the Abyss Order, a legion of monsters who seek to overthrow the rule of the Archons, and the Fatui, a military force and delegation of diplomats from Snezhnaya who pursue an aggressive foreign policy throughout Teyvat.

Fungi are an enemy group found in Sumeru. They are an evolved species of mushrooms with increased abilities to reproduce and protect the flora, though most people consider them to be monsters.

The Treasure Hoarders are a gang of bandits who search for treasures to obtain and are located all around Teyvat. The Eremites are a group of people who hail from Sumeru's desert region. Most of them are mercenaries by trade and conduct business across Teyvat. Some are aggressive criminals.

Primal Constructs are an elite enemy group. As leftover technology of King Deshret's civilization, they are primarily found across the Great Red Sand.

They perform Physical attacks and may enter an invisible state after deploying parts on the battlefield. If an Electro attack hits a part while it is being repaired, the Primal Construct will become paralyzed.

The Adventurers' Guild is an organization that serves as an adventurer-for-hire service for the people and other organizations in the seven nations of Teyvat. The Guild collates all the complex word-of-mouth information it receives and redistributes it in the form of quests and adventures assigned to adventurers. "Ad astra abyssosque!" is the guild's motto. Katheryne is the receptionist for the Adventurers' Guild. Multiple, identical Katherynes exist, all serving as the Guild's receptionists.
