Dorcas: Serene Warrior

A mercenary trying to earn money for his ill wife's treatment. Doesn't talk much and isn't expressive, but loves his family dearly.

Originally a mercenary working for a group of bandits Lyn and her friends are fighting, Dorcas defects to Lyn after learning that she is protecting his wife Natalie from the very same people he is working for. When asked why he is working as a mercenary, he responds that he is only doing so to earn money for his ill wife's treatments. Resolving to aid Lyn on her journey to Caelin, Dorcas helps her to defeat Lundgren. Following this, Dorcas returns home to Natalie, where he finds work as a mercenary fighting to protect the area from bandits.

Dorcas is a reserved man, contrasting starkly to the more brash and headstrong Bartre. Despite this, Dorcas is known to love his wife, Natalie, dearly, willing to go to to any lengths necessary to obtain the money to treat her ailment, even resorting to banditry.

Dorcas has also been portrayed to avoid taking charity from anyone, choosing to earn his keep by his own means. This is exemplified through him declining Bartre's offer to try and get a raise from Eliwood. However, he is willing to swallow his pride if it’s for the sake of Natalie, such as when he accepts the money Farina lends him.

Appearance: Dorcas is a tall, broad-shouldered man with a muscular build. He has tanned skin, red hair tied back loosely, and a trimmed beard along his jawline. His expression is calm and somewhat weary. He wears a sleeveless yellow tunic, frayed dark trousers, and brown sandals with straps. A green cloth hangs from his belt, and leather bands are fastened around his biceps and wrists.

Dorcas uses a tomahawk. It is called the Stout Tomahawk.

He is an infantry unit. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
