Donna Kiel is an FBI agent whose investigation into Los Angeles’s Claws Killer drags her into Daken’s orbit and exposes how far she is willing to go without becoming like the people she hunts. Sharp, relentless, and morally stubborn, she survives manipulation by Marcus Roston and keeps choosing restraint even when violence would be easier. (More Marvel Characters in Profile)

Donna Kiel was an FBI agent working with the LAPD when a string of brutal claw murders began spreading through Los Angeles. The killings coincided with Daken’s arrival in the city, and Donna quickly identified him as the most obvious suspect, though she lacked enough evidence to arrest him. Her pursuit brought her repeatedly into his path, including a confrontation during a major cash heist, where Daken admitted that his addiction to the drug Heat had left gaps in his memory large enough that even he could not say with certainty whether he was responsible.

The investigation changed when Daken approached Donna and denied being the Claws Killer, offering his underworld contacts to help find the real murderer. Donna accepted because the case had become increasingly personal, and the trail eventually led her into conflict involving Moon Knight and a Daken duplicate connected to the killings. During the confusion she mistook the real Daken for the impostor and shot him in the head, after which she and Moon Knight continued searching for the actual killer while Daken recovered.

The conspiracy ultimately led back to Marcus Roston, whose manipulation of Daken, Donna, and the drug Heat pushed both of them toward psychological collapse. Donna survived the ordeal and continued confronting Daken after Roston’s defeat, refusing to accept the idea that shared trauma made them the same kind of person. When Daken later tried to force that comparison by presenting her with captive human traffickers and encouraging her to kill them, Donna turned against him instead, making it clear that she would not cross the line he expected her to cross.

Appearance: Donna Kiel has fair peach skin and a tall, athletic, curvaceous build with squared shoulders, a defined waist, full breasts, and long legs. Her eyes are pale gray-green beneath sharply shaped blonde brows and dark lashes. Her hair is long, straight, and golden blonde, parted near the center and falling smoothly past her shoulders with softly layered ends. She wears a fitted black single-breasted blazer with structured shoulders, narrow lapels, long sleeves, and straight front panels. Beneath it is a crisp white button-front shirt with a wide pointed collar, visible vertical buttons, gathered fabric across the chest and waist, and cuffs extending slightly past the blazer sleeves.

Her lower body is covered by fitted black trousers secured with a dark brown leather belt featuring a rectangular silver-gray buckle. A brown leather identification holder hangs from the belt, displaying a white card marked prominently with blue “FBI” lettering, a small portrait, and the name “DONNA KIEL.”

Personality: Donna is confrontational, perceptive, stubborn, and willing to follow a case long past the point where self-preservation would tell her to walk away. Her obsession with the Claws Killer exposes a darker side she is fully aware of, including an emotional detachment that allows her to understand violent people more readily than she would like. What separates her from them is deliberate restraint: when given the opportunity to justify murder as something necessary or cleansing, she ultimately refuses to become what Daken insists she already is.

Daken becomes the most complicated person in Donna’s life, beginning as her prime suspect and gradually becoming an uneasy investigative partner, fellow Heat victim, and romantic attachment. Their connection is built on mutual recognition rather than trust, and Donna ultimately rejects his belief that their shared capacity for darkness makes them fundamentally alike. Marcus Roston is the architect of much of her suffering, using Heat and the Claws Killer scheme to manipulate both her and Daken, while Moon Knight becomes a temporary ally during the effort to uncover the real murderer. The LAPD and FBI provide the institutional framework around her investigation, though Donna increasingly operates according to her own judgment as the case becomes stranger and more personal.

Donna is an experienced federal investigator with strong deductive ability, interrogation instincts, crime-scene analysis, and the persistence required to follow suspects through Los Angeles’s criminal underground. She is particularly good at reading inconsistencies in a suspect’s behavior, which lets her recognize both Daken’s evasions and the possibility that the claw murders are more complicated than they initially appear.

Her standard weapon is a handgun, which she carries as part of her work as an FBI agent. Donna is willing to use lethal force when she believes the situation demands it, but her real strength lies in investigation rather than direct combat.
