The incredibly popular bartender of the Cat's Tail tavern, rising star of Mondstadt's wine industry, and the greatest challenger to its traditional powerhouses. A feisty feline young lady from Springvale, any drink mixed by Diona's hand tastes delicious beyond belief. Yet given her extreme distaste for alcohol, is her talent a blessing or a curse?

Diona, the bartender of the Cat’s Tail in Mondstadt, has become one of the city’s most popular figures despite her own fierce hatred of alcohol. Patrons adore her for her talent, her unique appearance, and her unexpectedly perfect drinks, while she herself insists she is the “Wine Industry Slayer” and seeks to destroy Mondstadt’s dependence on wine. Ironically, every drink she mixes, no matter how much she tries to ruin it, becomes delicious beyond belief. This blessing, or curse, is tied to a mysterious power she once received as a child, one that continues to shape both her life and her frustrations.

She first began tending bar at the Cat’s Tail as part of a prank and as the opening act of her plan to dismantle the wine trade. Her idea was to disgust customers with horrid concoctions and rid them of their taste for alcohol. Instead, her reputation exploded, drawing new patrons every day who praised her skill. Each attempt at creating an undrinkable brew backfired, only furthering her fame and the tavern’s prosperity. Margaret, the owner of Cat’s Tail, had initially hired her simply because of her charm, never imagining that Diona would singlehandedly challenge the Dawn Winery’s dominance.

Diona’s hatred of alcohol stems from her father, Draff, Springvale’s greatest hunter and her idol. She once revered him above all else, but his drunken behavior shattered her ideal image of him. Rather than blaming him, Diona blamed wine itself, declaring that it was poison that corrupted even the strongest of men. Determined to protect her father and others from its sway, she swore to destroy the wine industry entirely. Still, she adores her father deeply and treasures the bond they share, even mixing her first “real” cocktail for him when she rescued him during a storm, a drink that soothed him more than alcohol ever could.

Diona’s feline ears and tail, warm and real, mark her rare Kätzlein heritage. They give her traits passed down from ancient bloodlines: heightened agility, night vision, and hunting instincts that require no training. Her talents extend beyond tracking and archery; she can climb, infiltrate, and evade with uncanny natural ease. Dr. Edith, who studied her bloodline, noted her abilities alongside her temper—when provoked, she bites. These traits make her as much a hunter as her father, and she has often surprised others with just how capable she is despite her small size.

Her heritage also sets her apart socially. Many assumed her cat-like features were simply a part of her bartender’s costume until a drunken patron discovered otherwise and learned the hard way that she bites. These incidents frustrate Diona, who already bears the burden of her reputation and her cursed gift for brewing. Despite this, she continues to fight against the industry that brought ruin to her family life, even seeing the Dawn Winery as the ultimate “final boss” of her mission. When Elzer, one of its managers, tried to recruit her, she fiercely rejected him—biting him in the process.

Beyond the tavern, Diona is tied to a legend of her hometown. Springvale was said to be blessed by a “spring fairy” who created its waters and saved a dying child. As a little girl, Diona believed in the fairy and often spoke to the spring during nights when her father lay passed out. On her seventh birthday, she heard the fairy’s voice bless her with gifts of everlasting refreshment and vitality. From that day on, her uncanny ability to create perfect drinks was set, though she has never connected this “blessing” to the fairy she once prayed to.

Her Cryo Vision manifested during a storm when her father went missing. Fearing she had lost him, she pushed through the tempest, freezing the waters in her path and tracking him down beneath a collapsed gorge. She saved him with the help of others, and in her relief, mixed him a cocktail to ease his pain. Though her hatred for alcohol remained unshaken, her powers became linked to her love for her father and her need to protect him.

Even with her struggles, Diona remains adored by Mondstadt. Customers marvel at her cocktails, oblivious to her intentions, and the Cat’s Tail thrives as a result. She continues her war against wine, convinced that someday she will succeed in concocting the worst drink in history. Until then, she endures the “curse” of her own talent, puffing her cheeks in frustration as she watches yet another satisfied patron raise their glass to her skill.

Appearance: Diona is short. She has fair skin, short pink hair, teal green eyes, and round eyebrows. Diona's cat ears and tail appear to be those of a calico cat. Diona's center bangs are pulled into a stiff, upwards pigtail at the front of her head. Diona wears a large dark indigo cap, along with shorts of the same color with gold paw-print decorations. She also wears a dark midriff-baring sleeveless turtleneck shirt with an orange-yellow scarf, pale pink sleeves, a vest of the same color, and white gloves with light pink paw-like patterns on the undersides. In addition to this, she wears a cat collar with her initial written on the tag and an orange handkerchief tied around the base of her tail. Hanging from her waist is a cold drink canteen, attached to which is her Cryo Vision.

Personality: According to her father Draff, Diona is in a bit of a rebellious phase. While Diona adores her father and idolized him in her youth, witnessing his change in personality while drunk shattered the pedestal she put him on — and started her vendetta against alcohol. She despises just about anyone who indulges in alcohol, apart from Lisa and Eula.

Although Diona has the option of literally destroying the industry, she chose not to, instead opting to do so by plummeting the industry's reputation by becoming a bartender and serving terrible drinks. Unfortunately for her, her long-forgotten childhood friend, the Spring Fairy, blessed her with a magic touch that makes all of her drinks delicious, regardless of how noxious the ingredients used are, and she herself is unaware of this.

Diona is a tsundere and very naïve. She blames Diluc for her father's problems, even though the Dawn Winery had existed well before him or his father, and fails to see why the fans she and Barbara gets are drastically different. She appears to have attachment issues and craves companionship, a result of Draff neglecting her when he's in his drunken stupors. She genuinely enjoys the company of those who have earned her trust, such as Klee and the Traveler, finding comfort in the Traveler's touch even begs them not to leave her and "become another dream". Although she displays many cat-like mannerisms, such as her love for fish, naps, hatred of vegetables and water, and tendency to meow, purr, and bite when angry, she hates being referred to as a cat in this regard. She is implied to be astraphobic and aquaphobic.

Diona uses a Cryo Vision.

Weapon: She uses the bow called The Stringless.

Elemental Skill: Icy Paws: Fires an Icy Paw that deals Cryo DMG to opponents and forms a shield on hit.

Elemental Burst: Signature Mix: Tosses out a special cold brew that deals AoE Cryo DMG and creates a Drunken Mist in an AoE.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.

Mondstadt: A city of freedom that lies in the northeast of Teyvat. From amongst mountains and wide-open plains, carefree breezes carry the scent of dandelions — a gift from the Anemo God, Barbatos — across Cider Lake to Mondstadt, which sits on an island in the middle of the lake.

Hilichurls are a goblin-like family of monsters. As a hilichurl grows and survives, they eventually turn into Mitachurls, who are larger and bulkier. Mitachurls that continue to grow and survive eventually accumulate an excess of the elemental energy in their area, turning them into Lawachurls. It is not known how long it takes for this growth to occur. Many Hilichurls are also affiliated with the Abyss Order, as the Abyss Mages are able to speak fluent Hilichurlian.

The Treasure Hoarders are a gang of bandits who search for treasures to obtain and are located all around Teyvat.

The Adventurers' Guild is an organization that serves as an adventurer-for-hire service for the people and other organizations in the seven nations of Teyvat.
