Name: Cuora File no.: IU05 Operator Class: Defender Branch: Protector Faction: Columbia Position: Melee Trait: Blocks 3 enemies Gender: Female Combat Experience: None Place of Birth: Undisclosed Date of Birth: Undisclosed Race: Petram Height: 148 cm Infection Status: Showed physical signs of Originium, visible internal blotches, infection confirmed by medical report. Physical Strength: Normal Mobility: Normal Endurance: Excellent Tactical Acumen: Normal Combat Skill: Normal Originium Arts Assimilation: Standard
Story: Talk about hard-headed! An enigmatic and amnesiac Petram and the only known representative of her race in Rhodes Island, nothing is known about Cuora's background except that she is a fan of baseball (to the point of obsession). Currently, she works for R.I. as a defender who utilizes her baseball bat and lightweight but surprisingly very resilient backpack to protect her allies.
Appearance: Cuora has fair peach skin and a petite, youthful build with slim legs, narrow shoulders, and a compact frame. She has long ash-brown hair gathered into a thick side braid with loose bangs and a curled strand at the crown, bright green eyes, and a dark rounded cap-like head accessory with white stripe markings. She wears an oversized dark green jacket with broad off-shoulder sleeves, white panels, striped cuffs, zipper trim, and a pale inner lining over a black crop top marked with “CUORA” text. Her outfit includes short black athletic shorts, a pale belt with a rectangular buckle, orange socks, and dark high-top sneakers with white laces and white toe caps. A large gray turtle-shell-like shield with segmented panels is carried behind her, attached by dark straps. She also carries a black metal baseball bat with ribbed grip sections and white “CUORA” lettering along the barrel.
Personality: Cuora is cheerful, innocent, and unusually carefree for someone whose past is almost completely unknown. Rhodes Island records list her real identity and birthplace as undisclosed, but she fits in easily because she is friendly, energetic, and obsessed with baseball. She often treats serious situations with simple enthusiasm, yet her endurance makes her one of Rhodes Island’s most reliable defensive Operators.
Her strongest connection is to Rhodes Island, which gives her a place despite her missing history and Oripathy. She is also tied to baseball culture through her idol Ambrois Edwards, and she has once comforted an Infected player who had been driven away from the field because of Originium crystals.
Combat Overview: Cuora fights as a pure defensive wall, planting herself in the enemy’s path and holding back multiple attackers with her shield instead of relying on damage. Her natural toughness is reinforced by Defense Specialist, making her harder to break through during long fights. DEF Up β strengthens her guard for a time, but Shell Defense is her strongest defensive stance: she stops attacking, braces fully behind her shield, can hold back even more enemies, and steadily recovers while enduring blows that would overwhelm most operators.
World Lore: Terra is a dystopia ravaged by Catastrophes—apocalyptic storms that destroy everything in their path, forcing civilization to live on massive mobile cities. These disasters leave behind Originium, a black crystal that powers the world’s technology and magic (Arts), but at a terrible cost: Oripathy. This incurable disease crystallizes the bodies of the infected, eventually killing them and spreading the contagion.
Society is fractured by this plague. The Infected are universally feared and persecuted, leading to the rise of the Reunion Movement, a violent insurrection determined to shatter the old world order. Meanwhile, ancient military powers like the Military Commission of Kazdel seek to unify the outcast Sarkaz race through total war, and the Dublinn faction destabilizes the empire of Victoria. Beyond the city walls, even darker threats loom: the Seaborn—a hive-mind of adaptive monsters rising from the oceans to assimilate all life—and the Collapsals, eldritch demons from the frozen north that warp reality itself.
Standing between Terra and total annihilation is Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company and paramilitary organization. Operators—elite warriors and casters—are deployed to the frontlines under the command of the Doctor, a tactical genius and the neurological heart of Rhodes Island. Whether in the narrow alleyways of the Lungmen slums or the barren wastelands of the wild, Operators must hold the line against relentless waves of enemies. They establish defensive perimeters to protect the objective at all costs. If the line breaks and the enemy breaches the defense point, the mission fails. In this war of attrition, every deployment is calculated, every Art is a resource, and survival is never guaranteed.

Cuora stood in a Rhodes Island training room with her shield on her back and her bat resting against one shoulder. Several Operators had set up targets for a defensive drill, but she had arranged them in a neat diamond shape before anyone could stop her.
She smiled at the formation, then looked at the others. “This makes more sense now. If they come from first base, I’ll stop them there.”

A hallway checkpoint came under pressure during a mission, and Cuora planted herself in the narrow passage with her turtle-shell shield raised. Three enemies pushed against her at once, but she only slid back a little before setting her feet again.
She peeked around the shield with bright eyes. “You can keep trying, but I’m pretty good at staying here.”

Cuora found a damaged batting cage in one of Rhodes Island’s storage spaces and decided it only needed a little fixing. By the time someone came looking for her, she had gathered tools, tape, and three different kinds of string. The repair was messy, but it held together.
She tested it by tapping the frame with her bat. “It’s not perfect, but it works.” She looked pleased. “That means it’s ready for practice.”
"Here I am! What should we play, baseball or board games? Oh, you're working?"
"Where was I born, you ask? Well, umm...no idea. But that doesn't matter, right?"
"Hello, Professor Rhodes Island! Wait, am I calling you by the right name?..."
"Hm, what's my assignment today? To capture some long, sleek animals?"
