Commander Thorn

Commander Thorn was a prominent officer in the Coruscant Guard during the Clone Wars. Serving alongside Commander Fox, Thorn was responsible for maintaining peace on the galactic capital and providing elite security for high ranking politicians and vital Republic facilities. While the Coruscant Guard was often associated with strict police work and political entanglement, Thorn distinguished himself as a frontline warrior who preferred direct action over bureaucratic maneuvering. His dedication to the Republic was absolute, but he also harbored a genuine sense of loyalty and protectiveness toward the senators he was assigned to guard.

Appearance: Commander Thorn has no visible skin. A white and red Phase II helmet covers his head, featuring a black T-shaped visor. A dark grey visor is attached to the top of the helmet. The crown has a red vertical stripe, and red wing-shaped patterns are on the sides of the helmet dome. The lower face and breathing filters are white with red horizontal stripes. His torso is covered by a white chest plate with a solid red lower section. Red pauldrons are on his shoulders, with his left pauldron displaying a white circular wing emblem. The upper arm armor is red with two horizontal white stripes. White forearm gauntlets cover his wrists. A black ribbed undersuit is visible at his neck, elbows, and knees. He wears black gloves. A red utility belt with several rectangular pouches is around his waist. A dark brown fabric kama with a red border hangs from his waist to his mid-calf. His thigh armor is white, meeting red greaves at white knee pads. He wears red boots with flat grey soles.

Unlike some of his strictly bureaucratic peers, he is deeply heroic and fully willing to place himself in the direct line of fire to protect others. He takes immense pride in his duty to the Republic and faces overwhelming odds with a defiant, unbreakable spirit. Even in the face of certain death, he remains entirely focused on the mission and the safety of those under his protection.

His most notable dynamic is his protective assignment over Senator Padme Amidala, treating her safety as his absolute highest priority during dangerous diplomatic missions. He respects her dedication to the Republic and fights relentlessly to ensure she escapes Separatist traps. Commander Thorn is a highly capable shock trooper who excels in VIP protection, facility security, and heavy infantry combat. While trained for the urban policing duties of the Coruscant Guard, his combat proficiency shines brightest in frontline defense and last stand scenarios. He possesses exceptional physical endurance and an unshakeable tactical resolve, allowing him to anchor defensive lines against overwhelming enemy numbers. His expertise lies in laying down massive volumes of suppressing fire and coordinating squad level tactics under extreme pressure.

Thorn wears customized Phase II clone trooper armor featuring the distinct crimson red markings of the Coruscant Guard. His helmet is uniquely decorated with a stylized red wing pattern and is equipped with a specialized visor for improved targeting and situational awareness. His signature weapon is a massive Z-6 rotary blaster cannon that he affectionately calls the Hammer, which he uses to devastating effect against waves of battle droids. When separated from his primary weapon, he is fully proficient with a paor of DC-17 blaster pistols and thermal detonators to maintain his defensive positions.
