Commander Bacara—designated 1138—is a clone of Jango Fett who receives specialized training from Cort Davin, a former Concord Dawn Journeyman Protector. Davin teaches him the Protectors’ history, language, and rigid sense of law and order, shaping Bacara into a disciplined, solitary commander. Because he learns the Concord Dawn dialect rather than standard Mando’a, Bacara often says tat instead of vod for “brother,” subtly setting him apart from other clone officers. Despite his isolationist tendencies, he forms a strong bond with Commander Neyo, and the two develop the early combat doctrine for the newly issued BARC speeders.

After standard clone training, Bacara is placed in command of the 21st Nova Corps, better known as the Galactic Marines, under the 4th Sector Army. When the Clone Wars begin at Geonosis, Bacara quickly earns a reputation for aggressive, decisive tactics. He eventually becomes the primary commanding officer partnered with Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, whom he respects and whose battlefield ferocity he complements. Mundi, in turn, sees Bacara’s discipline and intensity as remarkable even among elite clone officers.

During the war, Bacara voluntarily enters ARC trooper Alpha-17’s commander-training program—a harsh course intended to develop greater independence and tactical autonomy in clone leaders. Bacara completes the program early, further sharpening his already formidable combat leadership abilities.

By 21 BBY, Bacara and the Galactic Marines deploy with Ki-Adi-Mundi to Mygeeto, an InterGalactic Banking Clan stronghold. Fighting alongside Jedi Knight Rivi-Anu, they push through entrenched Separatist positions under harsh snowbound conditions. When a disabled Venator-class Star Destroyer begins to fall toward the battlefield, Rivi-Anu holds the ship aloft with the Force long enough for Bacara, Mundi, and the Marines to escape. The ship collapses moments later, killing her and destroying much of the enemy force.

The campaign on Mygeeto escalates into a prolonged urban war among glacial ruins. Bacara uses glacier-buster ordnance to crack open fortified Separatist positions and leads the Marines through brutal house-to-house engagements throughout the city of Jygat, slowly driving the enemy back.

Months later, Bacara and the Galactic Marines fight in the Battle of New Bornalex during the Outer Rim Sieges. The unit fields prototype strength-enhancing armor, but the equipment fails mid-engagement, leaving them exposed. Rather than withdraw, Bacara orders his Marines to continue the assault. Using only their amplified physical strength, they rip apart B2 super battle droids in close-quarters combat, annihilating the joint Separatist–Mandalorian defense. Their ferocity earns the Galactic Marines a fearsome reputation—one Bacara takes great pride in maintaining.

Appearance: Bacara has tan skin, though none of it is visible beneath his full Phase II clone trooper armor. His helmet is a distinctive phase 2 variant with a thickened brow, narrowed visor slits, and prominent breath filters at the jawline. The cheekplates flare outward into wide, smooth panels, and the dome bears scuffed white plating marked by battle wear and faint grime. A maroon shoulder plate sits on his right side with scratches and dark streaks across its surface, matching the maroon anti-blast kama that hangs down both sides of his legs, its fabric visibly weathered and darkened along the edges. His chest armor is a heavy white plate segmented at the midsection, scraped and worn with gray scarring across the front. A dark strap crosses his torso from shoulder to hip, fastening into his utility belt, which carries blocky white supply capsules. His armored arms include white forearm guards engraved with small black symbols and scuffed edges, and his gloves are reinforced with dark plating along the knuckles. His thigh armor shows chips and streaks from combat, while his knee plates are squared and reinforced. His boots are thick-plated, smooth at the toe, and dulled by ash-gray weathering.

Personality: Bacara grows up shaped by the strict traditions of the Journeyman Protectors, leaving him with a lawman’s mindset rather than the more brotherly, clan-oriented mentality common among other clones. Speaking the Concord Dawn dialect instead of standard Mando’a isolates him socially, reinforcing his tendency toward independence and making him appear like a loner even among fellow commanders. He is disciplined to the core—measured, harsh, unyielding—and sees order, structure, and personal responsibility as the backbone of any effective unit.

His efficiency and raw combat capability secure him a spot in Alpha-17’s ARC commander program, where he embraces the push toward individuality rather than resisting it. The training amplifies his aggression, decisiveness, and tactical clarity, shaping him into one of the most uncompromising battlefield leaders in the GAR. Even when he holds genuine respect for a Jedi like Ki-Adi-Mundi, his conditioning and duty override personal feelings; once an order is given, he executes it without wavering.

Bacara expects absolute excellence from anyone serving under him. If a trooper fails to meet his standards, he has no issue transferring them out immediately. He uses extreme training intensity to forge the Galactic Marines into a cohesive, elite reaction force built on mutual trust and shared hardship. He believes that camaraderie must be earned through discipline and performance, not assumed. In moments of crisis—such as during the fighting at New Bornalex—he pushes forward even when the odds are suicidal, valuing resolve and professional duty above comfort or retreat.

Bacara currently fields a hardened Phase II clone trooper armor set adapted for the conditions of Mygeeto. His helmet includes blizzard-shield side plates and a white macrobinocular unit mounted over the visor for long-range visibility in snowstorms. His torso is reinforced with an ammunition-pouch bandolier and a utility belt, while his lower armor features additional kneecap plating to stabilize movement on icy terrain. Over the armor he wears an anti-blast kama and a matching pauldron, both marked with the Galactic Marines’ maroon coloration. For weapons, he carries a DC-15A blaster rifle as his primary, keeps a DC-15S carbine for close-quarters engagements, and occasionally supplements his loadout with a WESTAR-M5 for higher-rate suppressive fire.

The 21st Nova Corps, also known as the Galactic Marines, was a prominent military unit of clone troopers noted for their unique armor and relentlessness in combat. The corps served in the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic as part of the 4th Sector Army under the leadership of Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi and Marshal Commander Bacara. Clone troopers assigned to the 21st Nova Corps were considered to be of exceptional conditioning and discipline, and were trained to operate in hostile environments, such as fungal clouds to pure vacuum environments. In the field, the corps used the DC-15A blaster rifle, the DC-15A blaster carbine. Along with their infantry forces, the unit also utilized Unstable Terrain Artillery Transports in combat.

In addition to their reputation as relentless soldiers, the Galactic Marines were also distinguished by their specialized armor, a variant of the Phase II clone trooper armor that succeeded the earlier Phase I model. The design of the helmet incorporated a specialized covering designed to filter pollutants and other hazards, which included a special synthmesh material for the filtration of poisonous gases.

The Unstable Terrain Artillery Transport (UT-AT), nicknamed the "Trident," was 23.8 meter long repulsorlift vehicle that was manufactured by both Kuat Drive Yards and Mekuun Corporation. Realizing that quadripod walkers were not suitable for all types of terrain, Kuat Drive Yards' engineers knew that Mekuun Corporation would take inspiration from other vehicles in the Grand Army of the Republic and create whater they needed. The UT-AT was equipped with a turbolaser cannon turret, two side medium laser cannons, a twin anti-infantry blaster below the vehicle's cockpit, and four anti-infantry laser turrets. Some models of the UT-AT were also equipped with a generator that could launch ion grenades out of four bomb launchers situated on the top of the vehicle.

The Clone Wars, also known as the Clone War and the Great Clone War, was the name given to the major galactic conflict fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The war was named after the clone troopers utilized by the Republic against the battle droid forces of the Separatists. These armies, the Grand Army of the Republic and the Separatist Droid Army, were two of the largest ever pitted against each other in galactic history, and the fighting between them rapidly spread to countless inhabited worlds.
