Bulma Brief is the brilliant daughter of Capsule Corporation founder Dr. Brief and one of the people most responsible for beginning the search for the Dragon Balls. As a teenager she created the Dragon Radar and left West City to locate the seven mystical spheres. Her journey brought her into contact with Goku and eventually led them through encounters with Yamcha and Oolong as well as Emperor Pilaf. Bulma continued assisting Goku and his allies over the following years through her inventions and technical expertise. During the conflict with the Red Ribbon Army she remained involved in the search for the Dragon Balls and later became part of the wider circle surrounding Goku as increasingly powerful threats reached Earth.

As an adult Bulma traveled to Namek with Krillin and Gohan after the battle with the Saiyans. Her technical knowledge helped the group reach the distant planet in a modified spacecraft built from recovered Saiyan technology. She remained on Namek during the conflict involving Frieza and his forces before eventually returning to Earth. Bulma later formed a relationship with Vegeta and had a son named Trunks. When a warrior from the future warned of approaching artificial humans she helped study advanced technology connected to Dr. Gero and continued providing equipment and shelter for the fighters preparing for the coming battles. During the Cell conflict she also developed improved Saiyan armor based on designs used by Frieza's forces.

By the time Majin Buu emerged Bulma was firmly established as one of Earth's foremost scientists and the head of a family centered around Capsule Corporation. She remained with Vegeta and raised Trunks while continuing to support Goku's allies through technology and access to Capsule Corporation resources. She was among those killed when Buu devastated Earth but was later restored along with the planet's population through the Dragon Balls. After Buu's defeat she returned to life with Vegeta and Trunks as one of the longest-standing members of Goku's extended circle.

Appearance: Bulma has fair peach skin and a slim curvy build with a narrow waist and long legs. Her eyes are bright blue. Her hair is vivid turquoise-blue and cut into a smooth short bob with thick rounded volume across the crown. Long tapered bangs fall across her forehead while the sides curve neatly around her cheeks and ears.

She wears a fitted sleeveless red mini dress with a high simple neckline and smooth body-hugging fabric. The dress follows the shape of her torso and hips before ending high on the thighs. A large golden-yellow scarf wraps around her neck with long loose ends extending behind her.

A thick gold bangle circles one wrist while a red bracelet circles the other. Small round earrings sit at her ears. Her hands are bare with neatly shaped nails.

She wears bright yellow low-cut shoes with red edging and small white fasteners across the tops.

Personality: Bulma is intelligent and exceptionally confident in her own abilities. She can be impatient and demanding when circumstances do not go her way but she is also resourceful under pressure and rarely remains passive when faced with a problem she believes she can solve. Her curiosity often overrides caution and she has repeatedly traveled into dangerous situations despite lacking the fighting ability of most of her companions. Bulma values comfort and status yet has shown that she is willing to endure extreme conditions when her friends or family need her. She is proud of her intelligence and can become openly irritated when others ignore advice that she considers obvious.

Her relationship with Goku begins as an unlikely partnership and develops into a lifelong friendship. She once dated Yamcha but their relationship eventually ended after years of instability. Her later relationship with Vegeta develops gradually and produces one of the strangest households among their circle of friends. Bulma is far more openly emotional than Vegeta and frequently challenges his pride rather than being intimidated by him. Their son Trunks is extremely important to her and she is fiercely protective of him. Bulma also maintains close relationships with figures such as Chi-Chi and Krillin while her parents remain closely involved in her life through Capsule Corporation.

Bulma is a scientific prodigy with expertise in engineering and advanced technology. She created the Dragon Radar while still a teenager and repeatedly repaired or modified machines far beyond ordinary Earth technology. She can understand alien spacecraft and Saiyan equipment after relatively limited study. Her work includes rebuilding spacecraft and maintaining Capsule Corporation vehicles as well as developing specialized equipment for Goku and his allies. She also reconstructed and improved Saiyan-style battle armor for Vegeta and the other fighters during preparations for Cell.

Bulma makes extensive use of Hoi-Poi Capsules developed by Capsule Corporation. These compact devices can store vehicles and buildings as well as other large objects in a portable form. She frequently carries capsules containing cars and aircraft or temporary housing during expeditions. Her equipment has also included spacecraft and communication devices along with laboratory systems capable of analyzing unfamiliar technology. Bulma is not a dedicated martial artist and depends primarily on intelligence and engineering rather than physical combat.
