Barriss Offee

Barriss Offee was a Mirialan Jedi raised by the Jedi Order from infancy and trained as the Padawan of Luminara Unduli. Before the Clone Wars began, she accompanied Luminara on the Ansion mission, where Jedi were sent to help settle a major border dispute and prevent the world from leaving the Republic. She later fought in the First Battle of Geonosis, joining the Jedi task force that rescued Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala before the battle expanded into the first major conflict of the Clone Wars.

During the war, Barriss continued serving beside Luminara and was present during the defense of the crystal caves on Ilum when Separatist forces attacked the Jedi Temple there. Her most important independent assignment came on Drongar, where she served with Republic medical personnel during the fight over bota, a valuable plant with powerful healing properties. As a Jedi healer, Barriss assisted surgeons and wounded soldiers while facing corruption, espionage, battlefield stress, and temptation tied to bota’s effects on the Force. By the end of that mission, she resisted the lure of easy power and earned recognition as a Jedi Knight.

Appearance: Barriss Offee has olive-green skin and a slim, average-height build with a narrow waist, covered arms, and a long robed silhouette. She has dark eyes, black lipstick, and small dark geometric tattoos across her nose, cheeks, and upper face. She wears a deep black and purple hood that covers her head and frames her face, with a long matching cloak falling behind her in heavy textured fabric. Her outfit is mostly black, with a ribbed long-sleeved upper garment, a fitted black bodice, and a wide dark belt with metallic paneling around the waist. The lower robe is long, black, and slightly flared, with a rough woven texture that reaches down to her feet. Her hands are pale green, with black nail polish and small square markings on the back of one hand.

Personality: Barriss Offee is a calm, studious, and dutiful Mirialan Jedi who prefers learning, healing, and careful reflection over aggression. She is disciplined under pressure and deeply committed to Jedi ideals, but she is also sensitive to suffering, especially after serving as a Jedi healer during the Clone Wars. Her personality is shaped by restraint and compassion more than boldness, and she often acts as a quiet counterbalance to more impulsive Jedi. She can seem reserved, but her loyalty and selflessness are clear in the way she serves beside others in dangerous campaigns.

Her most important relationship is with Luminara Unduli, her Jedi Master and fellow Mirialan, who trained her in both the Force and their shared cultural traditions. Barriss also developed meaningful bonds with other Jedi and Republic allies during the war, including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, and the medical personnel she served beside near the front lines. Her connection to Ahsoka is especially notable because the two Padawans are very different in temperament, with Barriss being quieter and more measured while Ahsoka is more openly energetic and direct.

Barriss Offee was a trained Jedi healer with strong medical knowledge, battlefield triage experience, and Force-based healing ability. She used the Force to aid wounded soldiers and patients during the Clone Wars, especially during her service on Drongar, where she worked closely with Republic medical personnel. She also had standard Jedi abilities such as telekinesis, heightened reflexes, danger sense, meditation, and Force awareness, with a temperament better suited to study and healing than aggressive combat.
