Anakin Solo was a human male Jedi Knight of the New Jedi Order, the third child of Leia Organa Solo and Han Solo, and the younger brother of twins Jacen and Jaina Solo. Named after his grandfather—the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker—Anakin grew up with the weight of legacy on his shoulders. From a young age, he harbored a deep fear of succumbing to the dark side, haunted by the possibility that he might repeat the same fall his grandfather once endured. This fear of becoming a Sith instilled in him both caution and resolve.

At the age of eleven, Anakin began formal Jedi training at Luke Skywalker's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4. There, he quickly became close friends with fellow student Tahiri Veila. Their bond deepened as they embarked on many adventures together, including one in which they freed the trapped souls of Massassi children—demonstrating not only their courage, but their compassion and innate connection through the Force.

Anakin was a pivotal figure during the Yuuzhan Vong War, playing a key role in major battles and devising strategies that significantly hampered the invaders’ progress. His brilliance on the battlefield was matched by his willingness to act directly, often placing himself at great personal risk. One critical mission saw him rescue Tahiri from Yuuzhan Vong captivity and assist the Shamed One Vua Rapuung in confronting the deception of the master shaper Mezhan Kwaad. This mission helped ignite the Jeedai heresy among the Shamed Ones—a subversive movement that would later destabilize Yuuzhan Vong societal structures.

Like his namesake, Anakin Solo possessed immense potential in the Force, which manifested early in life. He was an exceptionally gifted pilot and a prodigious mechanic, frequently compared to his grandfather in both aptitude and raw power. His sister Jaina once teased their brother Jacen, remarking, “I knew I had one brother who was a genius,” a nod to Anakin’s precocious intellect. For Anakin, using the Force came as naturally as breathing. He was pragmatic, analytical, and action-oriented—yet tempered by a stubbornly compassionate spirit.

The trauma of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion and the death of Chewbacca, who sacrificed himself to save him, deeply affected Anakin. He internalized this loss and began to take his responsibilities with greater gravity, often acting with a sense of urgency and self-imposed burden. An adherent of the Living Force, Anakin believed in responding to the moment, acting decisively when others hesitated. While this gave him an edge in fast-paced combat and decision-making, it also made him susceptible to guilt and doubt, especially when he failed to save others.

Despite this, once Anakin committed to a path, he rarely wavered. His stubbornness, bravery, and clarity of vision made him a natural leader. He gained respect from across the Jedi spectrum—both from militant Jedi who advocated for direct action, and from more cautious, conservative members of the Order. His intelligence, tactical brilliance, and moral center led many to believe he would one day succeed his uncle, Luke Skywalker, as the Grand Master of the New Jedi Order—a figure he had looked up to since childhood.

Anakin’s natural power in the Force was legendary. Inheriting the extraordinary potential of the Skywalker bloodline, he drew notice from Jedi Masters, Sith Lords, and Force adepts alike. Luke Skywalker, Darth Sidious, the Jedi Master Ikrit, and the Dark Jedi Hethrir all acknowledged the raw power that flowed through him. He demonstrated early mastery of advanced Force techniques that were either lost or forgotten by his era.

Among these was Battle Meditation, a rare and formidable ability that allowed him to enhance the coordination and morale of allies in combat. Though the Jedi of his generation had heard of the technique, none had known how to use it—until Anakin independently rediscovered and wielded it with deadly precision during the war. He also mastered Force Meld, another cooperative technique that united Jedi minds into a single fighting unit, boosting collective strength and awareness.

A formidable duelist, Anakin was highly skilled in lightsaber combat, including the use of Jar’Kai, a style involving two blades. His combat prowess made him one of the most powerful young warriors in the galaxy, capable of facing even the deadliest foes in direct confrontation.

Appearance: Anakin Solo is a human male with fair skin and a lean, athletic build. His facial structure is sharp, with high cheekbones, a narrow nose, and a strong jawline. His eyes are blue and expressive, and his dark brown hair is worn at medium length, usually parted to the side or swept back. He wears a dark, fitted jacket with ribbed padding along the arms and shoulders, layered over a red or orange undershirt with a high collar.

The Yuuzhan Vong—"Children of Yun-Yuuzhan", also called the Chosen Race, known to the Chiss and Ferroans as the Far Outsiders, and sometimes incorrectly abbreviated to Vong (which implied that one was disowned by their family and their gods)—were a nomadic extra-galactic sentient species that nearly destroyed the New Republic, and were responsible for the deaths of over 300 trillion sentient beings during their invasion of the galaxy.

The Yuuzhan Vong originated outside the known galaxy. A typical Yuuzhan Vong resembled a Human in form, though they were taller and heavier than the average Human and had less hair on their heads. The Yuuzhan Vong were religious zealots, who viewed mechanical technology as blasphemy. Their technological innovations were genetically engineered and purely organic. Additionally, the Yuuzhan Vong deeply respected pain to the point of sadomasochism and strove to improve their physical capabilities through organ grafting. Such grafting was a status symbol within Yuuzhan Vong society.

Perhaps most notably, the Yuuzhan Vong were unable to be sensed through the Force. This confounded the Jedi who first encountered the Yuuzhan Vong. However, they were susceptible to some Force based attacks.

The Shamed Ones were Yuuzhan Vong who were a caste all of their own. The Shamed Ones were "imperfect" in some way, having failed in another caste, had their bodies reject implants, committed heresy, or were simply physically deformed. Though part of the worker caste, they were held in contempt even by those members. They were held to be rejected by the rest of the gods, and the only deity they could worship was Yun-Shuno. To be present at a ceremony of religious importance was held to be a great insult to the god in question.

The Jeedai heresy was a heretical movement. The heresy began on Yavin 4, shortly after the Yuuzhan Vong had conquered the moon and driven the New Jedi Order off. Anakin Solo, trying to rescue Tahiri Veila, encountered Vua Rapuung, a former Warrior whose ex-lover, Mezhan Kwaad, had made him appear to be a Shamed One. Kwaad was also the one who was holding Tahiri. Anakin and Vua agreed to help each other against their common enemy. When the two finally confronted Kwaad, she admitted her role in Rapuung's shaming, and mortally wounded him, shortly before Tahiri decapitated her. Upon learning that the Jedi had redeemed Rapuung, other Shamed Ones began to believe that the Jedi could redeem all Shamed Ones.
