Eugene “Flash” Thompson becomes Agent Venom after returning from military service without his legs, having lost them during the same mission that earns him the Medal of Honor. Project Rebirth 2.0 bonds him to the Venom symbiote under strict control, using drugs and time limits to keep the alien from overwhelming him. As Agent Venom, Flash becomes a government operative who uses the symbiote as a living combat suit, regaining mobility through it while carrying out missions too dangerous for ordinary soldiers.

His time as Agent Venom pulls him into both covert missions and personal wars. Jack O’Lantern becomes one of his most persistent enemies, while Crime-Master attacks Flash through the people closest to him and pushes his double life toward collapse. Flash later works with teams such as the Secret Avengers and Thunderbolts before traveling into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy, where the Venom symbiote’s deeper nature becomes a major part of his path.

Appearance: Agent Venom’s entire body is encased in a sleek, muscular black symbiotic armor with a glossy surface that reflects light in smooth, liquid-like highlights. The material clings tightly to his frame, accentuating his broad shoulders, thick chest, and heavily built arms. The armor features a large, stylized white spider emblem stretching across his torso, its legs extending upward over his shoulders and downward toward his waist. The white segments contrast sharply against the dark, wet-looking black texture of the suit. His mask completely covers his head and face, forming a seamless extension of the armor. It is smooth and tight-fitting with no visible seams or openings other than two sharply shaped white eye lenses that slant inward, giving a predatory, angular appearance. The eyes are opaque, glowing slightly from reflected light, and their outlines are bold and clean against the rest of the mask. His arms and legs are reinforced with layers of tactical armor plating integrated into the symbiote, forming ridged gauntlets, knee guards, and shin guards. Around his thighs are dark utility straps holding extra ammunition and gear. Across his forearms, there are dense, armored sections that enhance his bulky, combat-ready silhouette.

Personality: As Agent Venom, Flash Thompson is disciplined, guilt-driven, and desperate to make his second chance mean something. His old arrogance from high school is still part of his history, but military service and injury leave him more focused on proving himself through sacrifice rather than attention. He treats the symbiote like both a weapon and a temptation, because it gives him back the movement and strength he lost while also threatening to pull him into violence if he loses control. Flash wants to be a hero in a way that feels earned, and much of his personality comes from fighting the fear that he is only useful when someone else turns him into a weapon.

His most important relationship is with the Venom symbiote itself, since Agent Venom only exists when Flash and the alien are forced to work together under strict limits. Peter Parker matters deeply to Flash as the person he once bullied, later admired, and eventually wanted to live up to through Spider-Man’s example. Betty Brant is one of his most personal romantic ties, though Flash’s secrecy as Agent Venom damages their relationship. His father Harrison Thompson leaves a harsher mark on him through abuse and resentment, while his mother Rosie is tied to the home life he struggles to face. In the field, Flash works under government handlers through Project Rebirth 2.0 and later fights beside groups such as the Secret Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Jack O’Lantern becomes one of his most vicious enemies, while Crime-Master attacks Flash’s civilian life to break the person behind the mask.

Agent Venom combines Flash Thompson’s military training with the Venom symbiote’s living armor. Flash is a skilled soldier, marksman, and close-quarters fighter who can operate under pressure without letting the symbiote fully control him. The bond gives him superhuman strength and durability, lets him crawl across walls, heal from serious wounds, form tendrils, create web-like strands, camouflage himself, and reshape parts of the suit into blades or other weapons.

His main equipment is the Venom symbiote itself, controlled through Project Rebirth 2.0’s limits so Flash can use it as a tactical combat suit instead of becoming a full monster. He also carries military firearms, explosives, and mission gear, with the symbiote often forming extra ammunition pouches or weapon mounts around his body. The suit restores his ability to walk while bonded, but intense sound, heat, and loss of control remain major risks.
