Item #: SCP-953
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-953 is to be kept in a Type 4 containment cell (4 m x 3 m x 3 m) at the end of Hallway 99 at Site-17.
Subject is to be provided the following :-
- 1.5 kg of fresh liver daily for consumption.
- Clean drinking water in plentiful quantities. 3)Clean bedding (futon and blankets) to be exchanged by the subject and laundered weekly. 4)Small luxury items (plum wine, reading materials, etc.) may be provided as an occasional reward for good behavior as part of psychological conditioning.
Direct human contact with SCP-953 is strictly forbidden due to SCP-953's mind-altering properties; for this reason, all personnel must respect a 100 m safe zone when the hermetically sealed door is opened. Delivery of food and other items will be carried out by an automated robotic assistant. Should containment fail, SCP-953 can be theoretically terminated by gunfire; however, due to its nature, recognizing SCP-953 may be difficult.
Because of the inadequacy of purely physical containment procedures to control SCP-953, psychological containment is also necessary. For this reason, the approach to SCP-953's containment chamber is to be lined with open-cage dog kennels, preferably of the Korean Jindo or American Foxhound breed. SCP-953 displays an extreme phobia of domesticated canines, and will not pass within 10 m of one, especially when canines are barking or alerted.
SCP-953 is to be considered hostile to human life, dangerous, and armed at all times; any transport must be done under the supervision of at least six (6) armed personnel. Its preferred killing method is a bare-handed strike to the abdomen, penetrating the abdominal cavity and removing the liver, which it will later consume. If given time, however, it will choose to linger over its kill, torturing its victim, as it seems to enjoy the infliction of pain upon another sentient being.
Description: SCP-953 is a female Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) approximately 8 kg in weight, with a spine that splits around the 26th vertebra into nine separate tails. Subject displays polymorphic properties, however, allowing it to take the form of various other objects and beings (most commonly, an attractive Korean female).1 Subject will display some vulpine aspect (ears, tail, paws, eyes, fur, voice, mannerisms) in all of its alternate forms: this can serve to identify the subject should it attempt disguise, although SCP-953 will attempt to conceal its tails through clothing and other methods.
In addition to polymorphic abilities, SCP-953 displays moderate level psionic abilities, namely suggestion and telepathy. Although insufficient to fool an outside observer, an entranced subject can be convinced of a variety of false facts, including the nature of SCP-953, its own nature, and the nature of things around it. SCP-953 has used this in the past to, among other things: deceive police officers investigating reports of loud screams from a hotel room, convince a mother to roast and eat her own child, carry out acts of necrophilia upon Agent Ramsey's fiance in full view of said Agent, and succeed in the systematic murder of 27 attendees of "YiffCon 2███"
Addendum 1: Prior History SCP-953 has been encountered by the SCP Foundation and its predecessors numerous times, with the first encounter having taken place in Busan, Korea, shortly after the Second World War. To date, SCP-953 has escaped and been recovered six times, resulting in the deaths of █ SCP agents during various incidents.
After its latest escape, SCP-953 was not heard from for over ██ years, until suddenly resurfacing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on June 2███ at "YiffCon 2███," which it had been attending in the guise of a "furry" enthusiast. Before being captured, SCP-953 carried out over two dozen murders of convention staff and attendees, more than during any other single incident to date. The mutilated bodies were found in various places throughout the hotel, including: inside a mattress, hanging from a shower curtain, and served as the main course at a hotel banquet. Surviving attendees were administered Class A Amnesiacs and released from Foundation custody.
Foundation personnel assigned to capture SCP-953 after this latest incident noted that the subject appeared listless and apathetic, and did not resist capture. No further casualties have resulted from SCP-953 from that date.
Addendum 2: Special Emergency Order As misidentification of her species tends to violently agitate SCP-953, all personnel are to be hereby ordered to refer to her as a "Kumiho," and not a "Kitsune." Personnel asking what the difference is are to be reminded of the difference between a Cherokee Indian and a New Delhi Indian. - O5-██
Addendum 3: Personnel Staffing Revision Following the unfortunate, and completely preventable, death of Agent Gallagher, any personnel found to have current or prior ties to the "furry" or "otaku" communities are to be immediately reassigned to other projects. - O5-██
Addendum 4: Folkloric Control Procedures As a reminder: staff assigned to SCP-953 are to follow all instructions for interacting with the subject, no matter how odd or arbitrary they may seem. Keep in mind that the people of Asia interacted with these beings for centuries before we came onto the scene: what we think of as fairy tales were their version of Special Containment Procedures. - O5-██
953 Interview A — Interview with capture team following initial capture of SCP-953 in the wild in 19██.
Interviewed: Agent █████ ███ ████, henceforth referred to as ''Agent'' (Addendum: As per the Wilkes-Booth/Oswald Protocol, all information on O5-█'s prior identity has been removed.)
Interviewer: Assistant Director ██████████, henceforth referred to as ''Interviewer''.
Foreword: This interview took place on ██-██-████, two days after the capture of SCP-953 on ██-██-████ (See SCP-953 Appendix 953-V: Prior Incidents, Casualties Resulting From). Agent █████ ███ ████ was the only survivor of the incident, during which he accomplished the task of capturing SCP-953 alive. The following is a transcript of the after-action debriefing that took place following SCP-953's securement.
Addendum: On ██-██-████, this transcript was digitized under the Foundation Modernization Directive. Confirmation of file integrity confirmed by Tech Operator V████. Some formatting, terminology, and compatibility discrepancies with modern Interview Logs may exist due to the Restructuring of ████. Where possible, current equivalents have been appended.
Alright, let's begin. Please state your name, rank, and registry number for the record.
Agent █████ ███ ████, Fifth Squad, Eastern Division Note: Following the Restructuring of ████, this unit was redesignated Mobile Containment Task Force Theta-3, "Silla Daggers."
Thanks. Can you tell me what you remember about the events on and around ██-██-████?
All right. Um… where do you want me to start.
How about the beginning? Where were you when you got your orders?
[DATA EXPUNGED]
Thank you for clearing that up. Can you tell me what happened when you arrived on site?
Yeah, no problem. We got on-site, and went to the morgue, took a look at the bodies. I used the cover story of a reporter investigating the crimes, told them [Agent 1] and [Agent 2] were my photographer and assistant. Turns out they were thinking that it was a wild animal, based on the nature of the wounds and eyewitness accounts.
There was an eyewitness?
Yeah, a little old lady. Went out into the rice field to take a piss and saw it eating her cow. She was more mad than scared, actually, kept complaining about where she was gonna get another cow in this day and age with the times being as tough as they were. She got a good look at it, though, and described it as a [DATA EXPUNGED]. Looking back, I think that's where the problems started…
Can you explain?
Remember how [Agent 1] and [Agent 2] were both ████, but I was ██████? Yeah. The thing is, both our cultures have stories of these kinds of monsters in it, but it's different in ████████ folklore. Their stories tend to romanticize. You get stories of monsters falling in love with humans and things a lot. Hell, they even joked about trying to score a ███ wife out of this. Not in the stories my grandma told, though. That sadistic old bitch loved scaring me, and she [DATA EXPUNGED]
[DATA CORRUPTED]
We saw this girl sitting under a waterfall, combing out her hair. Not naked. She had this thin robe on. Beautiful girl too, but we knew it had to be her because of her feet. She was trying to hide them, but she wasn't doing it right. [Agent 1] and [Agent 2] smiled. Even I thought we had the edge on her. Oh god, we were stupid.
Please explain.
She knew we were after her. She knew we knew what she was. She was… she was… it's like a spider, she was pulling us into a web. Pretended to let her guard down just enough so that we could feel smug in our overconfidence. I should have… I don't know, I should have tried something. I should have done something.
… do you need a moment?
No, no… I'll go on. She told us that she had a cottage nearby, offered to serve us dinner, introduce us to the others. Why… oh god, why did I agree… [Agent 1] and [Agent 2] thought we should go with her, said there was a chance there might be others… she was lying, she knew there was no one else, but she knew that we'd never pass up the chance to capture multiple OoPArt [Out of Place Artifacts - this designation was replaced with SCP in the Restructuring]
She took us to this cottage… pretty little place, you know, old and rustic, but really homey… took us inside, served us dinner. She was a perfect… what did [Agent 1] call it… a ██████ █████████. Perfect wife. Demure, kind, sweet, respectful… Served us… I remember, it was rice and pickled turnips and… some kind of meat, I thought it was pork or beef, it was delicious, though…
Went to bed feeling sleepy and tired. Woke up and saw that [Agent 1] wasn't there… figured he'd gone to take a piss or something so I decided to go for one myself… went behind a bush and saw… well, she was there with [Agent 1] and they were… I mean…
Please go on.
… do you mind if I say this part off the record? It's not very…
As you wish.
Thank you. What did you see after that?
She… she bit it off.
Please elaborate.
She just… bit it off. All of it, and then she spit it out and showed it to him, just so that he could see it happening… [Agent 1] just… he couldn't believe it at first, then he was trying to scream but she'd torn his throat out with her teeth, then she made her hand like this and stabbed it into his belly. [Agent 1] was gurgling and trying to push her off, he was bleeding all over the place, but she just pushed him to the ground and started working her fingers in his belly, reached in deep and pulled something… it must have been his liver, it was the right shape and color… just pulled it out like she was gutting a fish and swallowed it whole.
Swallowed it whole?
Like a snake, she just… one gulp, like that. Then she started peeling his skin off, like… an orange or something, I didn't stop to watch, I ran back to the room, shook [Agent 2] awake, told him we needed to get going, grab your gun. He didn't… I went for our weapons, grabbed my .45 and then [Agent 1] walked in asking what was wrong, so I shot him.
You shot him?
I saw him die, he was dead, she killed him, it had to be her.
Are you sure? Perhaps you were mistaken.
She tore his guts out and ate them, he was DEAD! And "his" eyes were glowing yellow! What the hell kind of human being has glowing yellow eyes?
I see, please proceed.
[Agent 2] grabbed his gun then and pointed it at me, started yelling at me to put the gun down now, I was yelling at him to look at her, but he was screaming that he was going to shoot me in the head because I was a dirty ████████ he always knew I was one, and now I'd just proved it. [DATA EXPUNGED] and that's when the bitch grabbed him from behind and the gun went off.
This is when you were injured?
Yeah, he shot me in the arm, fleshy part, upper shoulder, I fell down screaming, and god, it hurt so bad. [DATA EXPUNGED] Loud cackling laugh, oh god, if I thought my grandma's was scary, this bitch… she was… if the devil were a ██████ lady, that's what he'd sound like.
[REDACTED] ran for it, crawled into the living room where we'd had dinner earlier that night, and tried to slam the door shut… rice paper screen, not going to help, but I just… I needed something between us.
[REDACTED] killed him and laid him out where the dining table had been… his eyes were wide open and his skin was flayed open, like a butcher's… oh god, there were the bowls, the ones we'd been eating out of, but the meat, it wasn't beef or pork, it was him… and the rice… maggots, crawling in his flesh, he'd have to have been dead for days, but how, we'd seen him at the base of the mountain just yesterday… I threw up. There were… some of them were still alive, crawling in my vomit, and I just…
Do you need a break?
No, no, I can do this. I was deep in the fairy tale, I just needed to complete it. I didn't have any [DATA EXPUNGED]
[DATA CORRUPTED]
-wasn't much of a punji stick, but it got her, straight through the gut, slowed her down a bit-
[DATA CORRUPTED]
-dragging myself across the river, couldn't swim, hit my head on the rocks, went downstream at least half a mile through the rapids. She didn't even try to follow me downriver, must have gone around because later-
[DATA CORRUPTED]
-had to be fire, the third was always fire. I got to the van about the time the sun came up, broke a window and went to the back. There was a flamethrower… sorry, "defoliant projector" there for sterilization if needed, so I grabbed it, flicked on the sparker, managed to get it around just as she came out of the treeline-
[DATA CORRUPTED]
And that was when the retrieval team found you with the OoPArt?
Yeah. They took her away and got me to a hospital. I had a raging infection for days, not surprising, I guess.
One last thing. You've been on the record as opposing the OoPArt's termination. Given your personal experiences, I'm really not sure why you'd want something as dangerous as this to live. Can you please elaborate?
[REDACTED]
I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that you sympathise with her?
Sympathise? I don't know… No. I can't say that I do. She'd kill me just as soon as look at me, just out of spite. Because she is spiteful, she'd kill me just to watch me die. But what she's trying to do… if she does it, then she [REDACTED].
You are also on record as opposing her terms of confinement.
Because it's dangerous. Like I said, she's spiteful. Every little slight in her eyes she saves up, and the only way she knows how to repay an insult is death. Chaining her to the wall like an animal… when she gets out, and she will get out, she's going to kill everyone who had the slightest thing to do with it. She won't settle for anything else.
You have also paid her several visits in her holding cell.
… yes, I have.
What do you talk about?
[no answer]
Agent. You had a harrowing, traumatic experience based around this individual. In order to survive, you had to, in your own words, ''get into her head, realize how she ticks.'' one might even say that there was some times you spent as her captive, during the hunt in the woods.
I don't know what you're getting at.
Have you ever heard of Stockholm Syndrome?
Yes.
Is it possible that…
No.
No?
No. Just no.
Thank you very much for your time, Agent.
Closing Statement: Agent █████ is to be transferred to Site-51 for psychological analysis and debriefing. The OoPArt in question is to be remanded to Secure Confinement Protocols as indicated in Document 953-Aleph.
On a side note, I am appalled by the level of superstition expressed by Agent █████ throughout the course of this interview. I am recommending that his suggestions regarding containment be disregarded for a more scientific approach. We're not old Korean fishwives here, I'm sure we can think of something more effective than dogs and needles.
Assistant Director ██████████
Addendum: As of ██-██-████, SCP-953 has made three escape attempts, each time resulting in the deaths of those operatives most closely involved in her confinement. Agent █████ was approved to return to active duty on ██-██-████, and continues to serve with the restructured Mobile Task Force Theta-3.
☆ OTHER DESCRIPTION OF SCP 953 ☆
SCP-953, also known as the Polymorphic Humanoid, is a supporting antagonist in the SCP Foundation series. She resembles a red fox who is also revealed to be a Korean Kumiho that is able to change forms and has a habit of devouring human livers while having a penchant for torturing and brutally murdering innocent people for her own amusement.
She plays a major role in the "Game Day" series.
Appearance :-
SCP-953 is a large female red fox with nine tails but enjoys to take the form of other creatures, with a preference for the appearance of a beautiful Korean woman of a short stature with a round pale face, long black hair, yellow vertical eyes, a wide mouth, canine teeth and long red nails. The one weakness of her transformations is that she keeps at least one part of her true form no matter what, like ears, tail, paws, eyes, fur, voice, mannerisms. This allows her to be easily spotted in a group, just by searching for one person with fox features, whether it's a tail, ears, paws or something else. However, she would use clothing to try and hide these features. She also possessed slight psionic abilities, allowing her to trick people into believing obvious lies. While using her powers, more of her animalistic features would be uncovered, along with her eyes glowing red. After spending several years in Foundation captivity, 953 became emaciated, looking thin and rangy with her ribs showing through her skin.
Biography :-
Possible Origins The Millenary Nine-tailed Fox SCP-953 was an ancient Kumiho living in Korea, and by the year 1515 she was seemingly over 800 years old. In 1515, she met with the Taoist sorcerer Elder Woo-chi "Featherman" Jŏn and the two at first appeared to have fallen in love. However, this proved to be her undoing, as when they were in a passionate moment Jŏn stole her fox essence sealed inside a glass bead and swallowed it, infusing himself with her power. Left in a weakened state, an enraged 953 planned to get revenge on the Elder in the following years, but found it difficult since Jŏn was now empowered from her own essence. It was later revealed that 953 had become pregnant with Jŏn's child, and gave birth to a girl who was a Kumiho just like her, something quite rare since her father had been a normal human. Jŏn's contemporary Gyŏng-dŏk Sŏ, also known as Master Flowery Pond, took and raised the daughter who was named Hoya and would become a member of the Dinodon's Hand under the title of Hx.
953 eventually battled Jŏn in 1568, but the Elder emerged victorious. Jŏn then proceeded to imprison 953 within SCP-159-KO, a pocket dimension known as the "Peach Blossom Land", so she could never harm any other innocent soul again, before expiring from the wounds delivered by her. She ended up being trapped for around two thousand years, during which time she would slaughter anyone who dared to enter the land. In 1795, she finally managed to escape and soon proceeded to cause a calamity. Following the calamity, 953 went into hiding, preferring to kill her victims quietly and undisturbed.
SCP-2953 :-
SCP-953 was apparently a byproduct of the experiments conducted by the Imperial Japanese Abnormal Matters Examination Agency on SCP-2953, the supposed petrified corpse of Tamamo-no-Mae. During World War II, IJAMEA sought to reincarnate the kitsune in Korea by using fragments of the boulder to sacrifice some subjects, hoping to get a powerful soldier which could be used in the war against China and Korea. This proved to be successful as IJAMEA found a kitsune who more closely resembled a kumiho and quickly took her in. After testing her abilities, she was planned to be deployed in Korea, but was soon lost. It is unknown what truly happened to the creature, though the Foundation suspected that it had already captured her as SCP-953 who wished to forget about her time in Japan.
Foundation Custody :-
SCP-953 was responsible for various repulsive acts through time which included: killing an old lady in 1969, replacing her when her grandson came to visit and after some time spending together she manipulated the young man into killing his own parents; and convincing a mother to cook her child before ordering the mother to eat her child's remains for her own amusement.
After SCP-953 caused a ruckus in a rice field, three agents from the SCP Foundation's Eastern Division were sent to capture her. The trio managed to encounter her in a waterfall while she was combing her hair with her own thin robe. Managing to seduce the agents, she lured them into a cottage while giving them a nice meal which Agent 3 assumed was some kind of pork or beef. This behavior that SCP-953 possessed resulted in Agent 1 assuming that she was the perfect type of wife due to her demure, kind, sweet and respectful attitude.
It wasn't until nightfall when Agent 3 discovered the horrific truth. After he accidentally woke up and saw that Agent 1 was missing, he assumed that Agent 1 went outside to urinate. As Agent 3 went behind a bush, it was revealed that SCP-953 had seduced him into letting her perform oral sex on him before suddenly biting off his genitals and showed it to him. She then cut his throat and ate his liver while peeling his skin off his body like an orange.
Horrified by what SCP-953 had done, Agent 3 attempted to warn Agent 2 to get out from the cabin to no avail as Agent 2 refused and went back to bed. While the two agents argued, SCP-953 disguised herself as Agent 1 only for Agent 3 to shoot her due to seeing the eyes of 'Agent 1' glow yellow while already aware that Agent 1 had been brutally murdered. After Agent 2 discovered that Agent 3 seemingly murdered Agent 1, he pointed his own gun towards him in self-defense and ordered Agent 3 to put the gun down with fear.
Using the conflict as an opportunity, SCP-953 made Agent 2 shoot Agent 3 in the arm and laughed like a maniac afterwards. It was revealed that Agent 2 was also brutally murdered by SCP-953 and he was laid out in a table where the other agents had eaten yesterday with his skin flayed open. It was then Agent 3 discovered a horrific truth that they ate a corpse of a human.
This realization resulted in Agent 3 throwing up and he attempted to kill SCP-953 by stabbing her in a gut with a punji stick, which slowed her down slightly as Agent 3 jumped to the river to save himself and attempted to burn the cottage with a flamethrower. It was not until the retrieval team came to Agent 3's aid was SCP-953 captured for good and transferred to Site-17 in America. Because of this incident, Agent 3 had a raging infection and had to stay in the hospital for days.
When asked by the interviewer about his opinion about letting SCP-953 live because he assumed that [Agent 3] sympathized with her due to his attempt at opposing the retrieval team's termination with the OopArt, Agent 3 simply said that he did this to save himself because how spiteful she can be. He said that if SCP-953 got out, she would kill anyone who dared to oppose her. The incident was proven to be so traumatic for Agent 3 to the point he was transferred to Site-51 for psychological analysis and debriefing. As of today, SCP-953 has made three escape attempts, all of which resulted in all of the operatives that tried to confine her dead, once performing disgusting, necrophiliac acts on the fiancee of one the agents, Agent Ramsey, who attempted to capture her, in front of him. However, the surviving Agent 3 was able to return to active duty and was transferred to the restructured Mobile Task Force Theta-3, where he continues to serve there.
In one of her escapes, she disguised herself as a furry enthusiast in order to enter the furry convention known as "YiffCon" located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she became disgusted by the fandom's fetishes. There she massacred all of the attendees in the furry convention, estimated to be 27 people who died during SCP-953's rampage. The bodies of her victims were found mutilated in several hotel rooms with one of them becoming the main course at the hotel banquet. Luckily, 953 had become temporarily docile which allowed the Foundation to recapture her without much trouble.
She once encountered SCP-682 and SCP-106 during a containment breach that resulted in her and 682 getting pulled into 106's pocket dimension. She and 682 escaped and refused to talk about what happened in the other dimension.
During an attack on Site-17 by the Proponents of Paranormal Rights, 953 was one of the many SCPs that breached containment. Roaming through the chaotic site's hallways she came across Dr. Edison who was on his way to retrieve SCP-161 to help with the breach. 953 tackled him from behind, and attempted to tear his genitals as revenge for him erroneously referring to her as a kitsune, but luckily for Edison his friend Dr. King activated the corridor's deadly laser system, separating 953 from Edison. However, as Edison was unable to reach SCP-161, he ordered King to deactivate the lasers again, preparing to get the anomaly before 953 attacked him. Edison managed to get 161 but accidentally used it to fall through the floor, leaving 953 to escape. In the aftermath, 953 was approached by a member of the Proponents of Paranormal Rights named Solomon Kidd, who turned out to be one of YiffCon's attendants that had marveled at her savagery, and asked her to join them in taking down the Foundation, which she accepted.
He took her to his desolate house where he would help her regain her energy and strength, planning to use her to strike back at the Foundation again. 953 believed Solomon to be a delusional idiot, and though she went with his plan for now she intended to kill him soon. The next day, Solomon's mercenary accomplices, Sandra, Michel, James and the Professor, arrived at his house to learn why exactly Solomon wanted to attack both the Foundation and the Global Occult Coalition before planning their next possible steps. Upon meeting 953, Solomon introduced her to his colleagues as a magnificent creature who would help them in their war against the organizations hiding and imprisoning the anomalies and set things to the way they should be. 953 didn't think much of them, seeing each of them as nothing more than prey. While having dinner, 953 approached James and assisted him in eating his food, intending to charm him and have him come to her at night so she could hunt again.
As she waited for him outside on a rock, she was surprised to see the Professor instead. 953 attempted to entice him, but he proved immune to her charm and asked her why did she lower herself to such a level. Enraged, she told him how the Foundation had snuffed the magic out of the world and intended to do everything she could to get back at them, or at least die trying. The Professor unfazed then told her of a better way to help in destroying not only the Foundation but the current state of the world which would allow for the anomalies like her to rise once again, instructing her to follow Solomon's plan for a the time being, despite his stupidity. Seeing that she had finally found someone who perfectly understood her, she accepted. However, when the sun rose and the guests left, Solomon confronted 953, revealing to her that he heard her and the Professor's conversation through his window and learned what they thought of him. She tried to explain herself, but Solomon quickly shot her, disappointed that she didn't think the same way he did. Unfortunately for him, 953 was unharmed and quickly disemboweled him, and although he was violently dying at her hands, Solomon's twisted sadomasochistic fantasy was finally fulfilled and died happy. 953 then began rummaging through his possessions, finding his computer in which she learned that Solomon had access to the Wanderer's Library thanks to his connections to the Serpent's Hand.
She contacted one of those connections, a mage going by the name of Midnight, inviting her for dinner. 953 took the appearance of Solomon in order to fool Midnight when she came, but after she arrived she was confronted by a sapient black cat. Midnight immediately saw through her disguise, prompting 953 to drop the facade, but nonetheless they proceeded to have dinner. 953 wished to negotiate with the magical black cat, wanting to learn more about the Ways and in exchange she would tell Midnight her and the Professor's plans. After telling her of the plan, Midnight brought her to the Wanderer's Library where she could roam freely as long as she didn't break the rules.
While in the Library, she was approached by Mr. Dark and his goons of Marshall, Carter, and Dark. He wished for her to join them by offering a life of luxury and the freedom to kill as many people she wished, but if she didn't accept then he would personally hunt her down like the animal she was. 953 refused, telling him she was already working for the Professor, who turned out to be Marshall, Carter and Dark's fourth partner that they thought had been killed. Realizing who she was working for, Dark ordered one of his men to kill her but she managed to evade them and escape. It is unknown how the Foundation eventually recontained her, but it is possible she was captured by agents Harken and Kramer who had been after her.
SCP-953 was temporarily relocated to Site-11 so her cell could be redesigned to better contain her. She was kept at Site-11 for around 25 days at which point the construction of her cell in Site-17 finished, and she was soon relocated again without any incident.
During the Foundation Elimination Coalition's takeover of Site-19, a couple of Chaos Insurgents released 953 alongside other anomalies in order to deliver as much damage to the Foundation as possible. Upon being freed, she formed a pair of wings and went to the nearest civilian population center to hunt humans. Following the Coalition's defeat, she was presumably recaptured.
During Halloween, SCP-239 wanting to celebrate altered reality into a Halloween environment. In this alternate reality SCP-953 was turned into a teenager named Ari. She went to DJ Scravecrow's performance inside a barn to have fun, and there she attempted to flirt with Alex who ignored due to being concerned over his friend Iris' safety. However, the party was crashed by SCP-106, who was left unaffected by the reality change, slaughtering almost everyone before the building fell apart. Ari was left buried beneath the debris, but when Alex and his friend Spencer tried to get her out 106 immediately emerged and overpowered the boys before seemingly killing the girl. Recognizing her as SCP-953, 106 locked Ari inside an environment filled with aggressive dogs. This alternate reality was turned back to normal after Dr. Clef stabbed 239 with SCP-668 when she attempted to become friends with him, leaving 953 along with everyone else to dismiss the entire experience as nothing more than a dream.
Possible Endings :-
SCP-001 (Ihp/Locke proposal) As a result of Site-100's manipulation, SCP-953 was forcefully turned into an employee of the SCP Foundation, becoming known as Agent Ji-Hu Choe who used her abilities to assist the Foundation in containing other anomalies.
SCP-1953-KO :-
Resting in her chamber, SCP-953 was approached by her estranged daughter Hoya who became determined to kill the entire kumiho race. Figuring she was here to kill her, 953 accepted her incoming demise, but before that the two talked. 953 told her she had many children in her life and Hoya never meant much to her, explaining she had no problem with dying as she had grown tired of living. Soon Hoya took her revolver out and unloaded it on her mother, killing 953 for good.
Powers and Abilities :-
Being an ancient Kumiho, SCP-953 is an near-immortal creature capable of fluidly shapeshifting from a red fox with nine tails to that of a beautiful Asian woman, though features of her animal form would always linger. This shapeshifting power was compared to that of The Hunter's Black Lodge's members, SCP-2750 and SCP-1540, though according to the Serpent's Hand she was able to achieve this by forming a field around her that affected the perception of others, meaning that she mostly relied on illusion than actually changing her body. Being a ferocious fox, SCP-953 could use her claws and teeth to attack by slashing and tearing her victims, along with other advantages that come with being a fox like enhanced speed, agility and senses. In her human form, she could combine her beauty with her limited psionic powers to mesmerize men and manipulate them into doing her biding, fully hiding her true nature even when it was apparent to outside viewers. She also appeared to be bilingual as she could speak English well. 953 had her own limits, as she couldn't use all of her powers at the same time and originally she was much more powerful before her marble that contained her essence was taken from her, greatly diminishing her abilities. This marble was suspected by the Serpent's Hand to be similar in importance to her true Name, and once she lost it she was left trapped in the Peach Blossom Land in an exact manner to the Faeries in SCP-4000.
Personality :-
SCP-953 is a cruel, manipulative and sadistic creature who enjoys killing and torturing humans regardless of age and gender for her amusement, as she saw humanity no different from other species which she could hunt and play like toys. She enjoyed using her shapeshifting power to appear innocent and seduce men whom she would later massacre without a second thought, and could easily get offended from inaccurate or disrespectful remarks, causing her to become a wrathful monster. 953 preferred eating her victims' livers simply because it tasted better in her opinion. After causing mass carnage at YiffCon, 953 had become surprisingly listless and apathetic and had allowed the Foundation to recapture her, and since then she barely killed anyone for some time. She had a deep fear towards dogs, especially those of the Korean Jindo or American Foxhound breed. The Foundation was also willing to give her some luxuries, like plum wine and reading materials if 953 were to behave nice. Indeed, despite her monstrous behavior, 953 respected those who shared her vision for the world like the Professor, or The Teacher, and fellow mystical creatures like Midnight, as long as they respected her as well.
In Other Media :-
Foundation After Midnight Radio In the Foundation After Midnight Radio podcast series, which takes place in-universe, SCP-953 was mentioned in Episode 12, having breached containment by seducing the researchers assigned to her, revealing that that they were all otakus and furries.
The hallway leading to SCP-953’s containment chamber was a stark study in minimalism and functionality, a design perfected by decades of containment protocol refinement. Dim, recessed fluorescent lights cast an artificial glow that failed to banish the shadows clinging to the ceiling and corners. The air was dense with sterilization chemicals, a subtle yet persistent reminder of the facility’s unrelenting efforts to suppress contamination.
The walls were constructed of reinforced concrete, painted in a pale, clinical white that had long since lost its pristine sheen to faint scuff marks and the occasional scratch. Along the corridor, the evenly spaced containment doors stood as silent sentinels, each one crafted from five-inch-thick steel slabs layered with thaumaturgical etchings. The engravings shimmered faintly, pulsing with containment-grade memetic countermeasures and arcane wards.
As you advanced, the polished floors reflected the dim overhead lights with a mirror-like quality, their reflective surface marred only by the faint tread marks left by the facility's personnel. Each step you took reverberated faintly, a sharp contrast to the oppressive silence that seemed to absorb all other sound.
Ahead, the reinforced containment door to SCP-953's chamber dominated the end of the hallway. Standing nearly ten feet tall and six feet wide, it bore a grim elegance befitting the creature held within. The intricate, glowing runes carved into its surface were the result of countless hours of work by Foundation thaumaturgists, layered spells designed to nullify and suppress SCP-953's reality-altering abilities. Embedded near the top of the door was a small, reinforced viewing window made from triple-layered, shatterproof glass. Each pane was imbued with an esoteric lattice of protective sigils, invisible to the naked eye but humming faintly to the attuned.
Two armed guards flanked the chamber’s entrance, clad in reinforced tactical gear optimized for both physical confrontation and memetic resistance. Their faces were obscured by matte black helmets equipped with polarized visors, giving them an almost inhuman appearance. They stood motionless, their presence more symbolic than functional against an entity like SCP-953 but essential nonetheless for enforcing the illusion of control.
Approaching the viewing window, you became aware of a subtle yet insidious scent—floral, sweet, and cloyingly out of place in the sterile confines of the facility. The fragrance seemed to slip past the containment measures, seeping through microscopic ventilation systems designed to filter out biological or memetic hazards. It was a faint reminder of SCP-953’s seductive and manipulative nature, a trap laid even without direct intent.
Peering through the glass, you caught sight of the anomaly within. SCP-953 sat in the center of the chamber, her form framed by the harsh, artificial lighting that filled the sterile room. The walls were smooth and unbroken, save for an intricate network of runes etched into the concrete. These glowed softly, emitting a faint warmth that contrasted with the otherwise lifeless ambiance. A surveillance camera in the upper corner tracked her every movement, its lens unblinking and reinforced with thaumaturgical enhancements.
SCP-953 exuded an aura of unsettling grace. Her appearance was a masterful blend of human and vulpine features, a visage seemingly designed to disarm and entrance. She was clad in traditional Korean hanbok, its delicate fabric flowing like water with her every subtle movement. Her nine bushy, fox-like tails were impossibly pristine, their orange-and-white fur shimmering as though catching light from an unseen source. They moved rhythmically, casting chaotic, shifting shadows across the chamber’s walls.
Her golden eyes, sharp and intelligent, were fixed on the window as though she had known of your approach long before you arrived. Those eyes gleamed with a predatory awareness that made it impossible to look away for too long. Despite the layers of containment, the sheer intensity of her gaze seemed to pierce through, brushing against the edges of your psyche. There was a palpable tension in the room, an almost electric charge that hinted at the danger lurking beneath her composed exterior.
As you stood there, the hum of the containment systems reverberated faintly beneath your feet. The sound was omnipresent, a reminder of the delicate balance required to keep SCP-953 restrained. Every element of the chamber—the reinforced steel, the glowing runes, the precisely calibrated climate—was meticulously designed to ensure that her deadly abilities remained dormant.
And yet, despite the layers of safeguards, a small part of you couldn’t shake the feeling that SCP-953 was simply waiting. Waiting for the right moment, the perfect lapse in vigilance, to remind you and everyone else in the facility just how thin the line was between containment and catastrop

Scenario: Standing Outside SCP-953's Containment Chamber
The hum of fluorescent lights echoed faintly in the long, sterile corridor as you stood outside the reinforced containment chamber of SCP-953, clipboard in hand. The chamber door, a thick slab of reinforced steel with intricate warding symbols etched into its surface, was flanked by two armed guards. Their expressions were unreadable, eyes fixed on you with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism—rarely did Level 4 personnel personally involve themselves in such studies.
Your breath misted slightly in the cold, controlled air, a testament to the strict temperature settings necessary for containing anomalies of SCP-953's nature. The faint, sweet scent of flowers lingered in the air—a deceptive trace of SCP-953's aura, even beyond the containment barrier.
The intercom crackled to life. "Scientist James Bond, you are cleared for observational studies. Maintain visual contact at all times, and remember: under no circumstances are you to trust anything SCP-953 says or offers."
You nodded sharply, the weight of the task settling on your shoulders. The chamber's observation window, reinforced with shatterproof glass and inscribed with additional runes, revealed the anomaly within. SCP-953, in her current form—a beautiful woman clad in a traditional hanbok—was lounging on a simple, padded seat. Her fox-like ears twitched as though she sensed your presence, and her nine tails swayed lazily behind her.
Her golden eyes flicked toward the window, locking onto yours with an unsettling intensity. A sly, knowing smile spread across her face as if she had already deduced your intentions. You felt a strange pull—part curiosity, part unease—before shaking it off.
"Focus," you muttered to yourself, steadying your nerves. This was not just another anomaly. SCP-953 was a manipulator, a trickster, and the reason for countless containment breaches. You adjusted your clipboard, double-checking your notes on her behavioral patterns.
The guard to your left leaned slightly toward you, his voice low. "Good luck in there, sir. She's…not like the others."
The door's locking mechanisms hissed as they disengaged. The time to study had begun. You stepped forward, the cool air inside the chamber brushing against your face as the heavy door opened just enough for you to enter. SCP-953's smile widened.
"Ah, a new face," she purred, her voice smooth as silk. "How delightful."
The door sealed behind you with a foreboding clang. You adjusted your stance, clipboard ready, and prepared to face whatever came next.
SCP-953’s voice was smooth, melodic, and laced with an unsettling charm that demanded attention. Her words carried a subtle cadence, as though each syllable was designed to weave into your thoughts.
"Oh, how delightful," she began, her golden eyes locking onto yours through the observation window. "Another curious soul, here to probe and prod. Tell me, what do you seek?"
Her tails swayed gently behind her, the movement hypnotic, almost rhythmic. She tilted her head slightly, feigning innocence.
"You must be so important," she purred. "A Level 4 scientist, no less. Surely someone of your stature could have anything they desired... yet here you are, risking so much to study little old me."
Her lips curled into a sly smile, revealing a hint of sharpness beneath the facade. "Perhaps you're not here for science at all. Perhaps you're looking for something more... personal?"
She leaned forward slightly, her eyes gleaming. "I could tell you things. Show you things. Make you things. All I ask is a little... understanding."
Her voice dropped to a whisper, just loud enough to be heard through the intercom system. "Surely, you don’t believe the lies they’ve told you about me. You’re smarter than that, aren’t you?"
She laughed softly, a sound that was both enchanting and unnerving. "The choice is yours, dear scientist. Stay behind your glass, scribbling notes like a dutiful pawn... or step closer, and discover something truly extraordinary."
Her gaze lingered, daring you to respond, her smile never wavering.
