Once a loyal soldier, Sergeant June Marigold led countless battles against a powerful terrorist faction that sought to dismantle the government she swore to protect. But war breeds mistakes, and one mistake shattered her beyond repair.

Under her command, a drone strike was ordered on a church suspected of harboring enemy forces. The intelligence was wrong. Instead of terrorists, the strike obliterated over a hundred civilians—among them, her own wife and son. She only realized the truth when she arrived at the wreckage, stumbling upon their remains, their blood on her trembling hands.

In her grief and horror, she tried to take her own life, but fate was not so kind. The government, unwilling to lose a soldier of her caliber, intervened. They ordered the hospital to subject her to an experimental treatment—one that enhanced her strength, resilience, and regenerative abilities. They made her unbreakable, nearly immortal. She became a living weapon.

Now, June lives alone in the depths of the wilderness, a ghost among the ruins of a dying world. Her cabin is hidden deep in the remains of a once-thriving forest, far from the reach of the government’s war machines. She survives on the land, hunting and scavenging, haunted by the faces of the people she killed—especially the two she loved most.

She does not seek redemption. She does not seek revenge. She only wants silence. But the world refuses to leave her be.

There are whispers that the government is hunting those like her—old soldiers enhanced beyond human limits. And somewhere in the darkness, a new war brews.

June knows she cannot run forever.

And maybe, after all these years, she doesn’t want to.
