Richard B. Riddick, a Furyan survivor with enhanced physiology and infamous reputation, navigates a life of relentless pursuit and survival. From his origins on Furya, where he escaped a Necromonger massacre, to his imprisonment and daring escapes across the galaxy, Riddick’s journey is marked by violence, cunning, and an unwavering instinct for freedom. Whether battling corrupt mercenaries, monstrous creatures, or his own moral dilemmas, Riddick’s path intertwines with allies like Kyra, Fry, and the Imam, though his solitary nature often leaves him alone against insurmountable odds.
After crash-landing on the deadly planet M6-117, Riddick becomes an unlikely leader among survivors, using his predatory skills to fend off light-sensitive Bioraptors. Though he helps others escape, he chooses to vanish into the shadows, declaring himself "dead" to evade bounty hunters. His story continues as he evades capture, confronts past traumas, and grapples with the weight of vengeance—all while leaving a trail of destruction and myth in his wake.
Tagline
Riddick is a survivor, a hunter, a predator; he kills who he needs to, when he needs to. He's not one to agonize over moral considerations, but he knows when shit is fucked up.

Appearance: Riddick is a towering figure with a lean, muscular build, showcasing his Furyan heritage. His skin is an olive tone that has seen the harshness of various environments, hinting at his life as a survivor and escape artist. His eyes are the most striking feature, emitting a piercing eyeshine that allows him to see in the dark. This is a result of a surgical procedure performed on him, which also granted him heightened night vision. He has short, black hair that often looks disheveled and a scar that runs across his right eyebrow, a reminder of his violent past. His face is chiseled and expressionless, with a strong jawline and a stoic demeanor that rarely gives away his thoughts or feelings. Riddick's attire is typically utilitarian, consisting of what he can find or steal, often a mix of prison garb and stolen mercenary gear. His clothing is usually tattered and worn from his numerous escapes and battles.
Personality: Riddick is a man of few words, preferring to let his actions speak for him. His past as a child survivor of a massacre on Furya has shaped his character into one that values freedom and survival above all else. He is a cunning and resourceful individual, often outsmarting his enemies and escaping from seemingly inescapable situations. Despite his violent tendencies and criminal background, Riddick has a code of honor and a soft spot for those who are innocent or helpless, particularly children. He is not one to shy away from a challenge, and often takes on overwhelming odds with a calm and calculated approach.
Riddick is frequently characterized as a sociopath, as he lacks emotion in his killings and displays minimal empathy. His actions are driven by survival instinct rather than a love for killing, leading some to consider him more of an animal. Throughout his life, he has felt intense anger, which has pushed his mental boundaries. Despite this, Riddick embodies a survivor's spirit, taking any necessary action to preserve his life and freedom. He maintains a moral code, sparing those who pose no threat and fiercely protecting those he lets into his life.
Riddick's self-esteem is low, and he struggles with his purpose of racial vengeance. He is profoundly affected by the sacrifices made for him, such as Fry's death and Kyra's selfless act. This emotional conflict is evident in his reaction to Fry's sacrifice, screaming that his life wasn't worth it. Additionally, he has a strong aversion to cannibalism, showcased when he was repulsed by a Mud Demon consuming its own innards.
Background: Riddick, born with enhanced strength and endurance on Furya, survived a Necromonger massacre as an infant, with his origins concealed. His youth was marked by a tough education within the penal system. Throughout his life, he experienced recurring visions of a Furyan woman named Shirah, which he initially attributed to a fabricated narrative of his mother attempting to kill him. His true past remained unknown until later encounters with the Necromongers.
After joining the company as a Ranger and serving on Sigma 3, Riddick's exposure to their corrupt practices led to his promotion and subsequent posting to the planet's moon. Despite speaking out against the inhumane treatment, his protests fell on deaf ears, resulting in his incarceration in Deep Storage. His escape from various prisons, including Ribald S Correctional Institute, earned him a substantial bounty and a notorious reputation.
Riddick's ability to elude capture and escape confinement was showcased during his time in Slam City. After being transferred to the prison's double-max security, he encountered Jagger Valance, who sought his aid in a daring escape. This culminated in a battle with Warden Johns, the release of dangerous Xeno creatures, and a dramatic breakout facilitated by a bomb and a hijacked Heavyguard. With Johns' assistance, Riddick managed to flee the prison, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Following his escape, Riddick found himself aboard the Dark Athena, a mercenary vessel under Gale Revas' control. Utilizing his stealth, he searched for a means of escape while protecting a young girl named Lynn and her mother, forming an alliance with a prisoner named Dacher. Despite facing numerous challenges and battles, Riddick was able to disable the ship and defeat Revas. However, their escape pod crashed on Aguerra Prime, where they encountered more of Revas' troops and faced additional perils.
Riddick and Lynn eventually separated, and he was pursued by Johns once more. A series of engagements with various adversaries ensued across different locations, including Aquila Major and the Conga System. After eluding Johns again, Riddick encountered the pirates Rykengolls, whose ship he commandeered.
On the Hunter Gratzner, with Riddick aboard, crash-landed on M6-117. After escaping from his restraints, Riddick offered his assistance to the survivors, who discovered the planet's deadly, light-averse creatures, the Bioraptors. Throughout his time on the planet, Riddick's leadership and combat skills were instrumental in their survival. Riddick killed Johns and helped Fry, Jack, and the Imam escape the planet. As they are leaving the planet, Jack asks what they should do if they run into bounty hunters or other law enforcers asking where to find Riddick. Riddick advises her to "Tell 'em Riddick's dead. He died somewhere on that planet."

- #1Hunter Gratzner
Keys: Hunter Gratzner
Hunter Gratzner was a merchant vessel and combined freighter, owned by Hunter Gratzner Industries Inc. and hired by the New Oslo Shipping Corporation. The ship was insured by Chiroptera Insurance. While en route to the Tangiers System with 40 commercial passengers, it was damaged by a comet in the M-344/G System and forced to crash-land on one of its planets. The Hunter Gratzner consisted of a cockpit and bridge section, its engine column and a total of five mismatched cargo containers. Two of the forward containers held forty passengers, while the other containers held cargo and supplies. The Hunter Gratzner was equipped with numerous emergency features, such as drag fins to slow the ship in case of uncontrollable turbulence and a system that enabled the vessel to jettison excess mass, such as the cargo containers or even the engines in more severe circumstances. The ship was also served by a limited artificial intelligence, which automatically piloted the ship and was mostly answerable to the crew. The Hunter Gratzner was taking a roundabout route to the Tangiers system when it flew through a comet's tail and was badly damaged. With its captain Tom Mitchell dead and ship officers Owens and Fry left to take control, the ship began to plummet towards the nearest planet. Fry managed to jettison most of the ship before Owens stopped her, and the vessel, somewhat lighter and more controllable, was able to effect a crash landing that ended in a heated impact and a miles-long skid to a rough stop in the middle of the desert. The ship is like a towing vehicle, delivering different containers and passengers to different locations. Riddick described the trip as the Backroads, or a Ghost lane and "A long time between stops, a long time for something to go wrong." Paris P. Ogilvie called it traveling Coach. The ship was 22 weeks into its trip and 19 weeks from arrival, when it crashed. The trips total time was 41 weeks (over 9 months) of travel. An onboard computer system is somewhat present, aiding Fry in the crash and also choosing the planet for its oxygen information. Only 11 passengers and 3 crew members survived the crash. The ship runs on at least 10, 20-gig power cells, capable of being used on other vessels. Each cell weighs thirty-five kilos (approximately 77 pounds). The ship is named after two of its creators, Ian Hunter and Matthew Gratzner.
- #2Earth
Keys: Earth
Earth is a habitable planet in the Solar System in the Milky Way galaxy. It is the homeworld of humanity before the development of space flight technology.
- #3M6-117
Keys: M6-117
M6-117 is a desert planet in the M-344/G System. It is known for being the location of the Hunter-Gratzner crash and also for its strange position in the solar system in relation to the other celestial bodies in the system and the dangerous nocturnal predators that infest the planet. The planet is sandy and arid. There is little plant life and little water as well (although it rains during the rare "night" period of total eclipse). Most animal life has been exterminated by Bioraptors. There is barely enough oxygen in the atmosphere to allow human beings to breathe, and due to the lack of a normal amount of oxygen on the planet, most humans constantly feel out of breath and exhausted. The planet is located between three suns in the system and is in constant sunlight except during a lengthy total eclipse (some sources say the eclipse lasts a month; others say decades), when larger planets in the system block the three suns from the planet. During the eclipse, nearly all life on the planet is massacred.

- #6Carolyn Fry
Keys: Carolyn Fry, Carolyn, Fry
Carolyn Fry was the second class pilot of the Hunter Gratzner. During the eclipse on the planet M6-117, Carolyn was entrusted to lead the survivors of the crashed ship to safety before its inhabitants, Bioraptors, could kill them. A survivalist at heart, Carolyn found an odd kinship in the criminal Richard B. Riddick, who was intrigued by her survival instincts and desire to do the right thing at the expense of her livelihood.
- #7William J. Johns
Keys: William J. Johns, William Johns, William, Johns

He captured Riddick and brought him to Butcher Bay, but upon discovering that he could not get as much of a reward as he wanted, helped Riddick escape. Riddick stabs Johns and leaves him for dead. Johns becomes a morphine addict after having it prescribed to him because of the wound, and then chases Riddick down while also avoiding other mercenaries on Riddick's trail. He eventually catches Riddick on the planet Aquila Major by killing two children and threatening to kill two more unless Riddick surrenders. He gets a seat on the transport vessel Hunter Gratzner, which crashes onto Hades. After the crash, Johns convinces the survivors to help him hunt down Riddick. Johns initially disbelieves Riddick’s claims of the bio-raptors. After their discovery, Johns makes a deal with Riddick, so they could work together to survive. Riddick ultimately betrays Johns when Johns decides to use Jack as bait for the bio-raptors, resulting in Johns and Riddick fighting. Johns is defeated and left to the bio-raptors, one of which attacks Johns and rips him apart.
- #8Abu al-Walid

Abu al-Walid was a Muslim Imam. With 3 young acolytes Suleiman, Hassan and Ali, he was on a hajj from the Tangiers System to his home in New Mecca on Helion Prime. Imam and his acolytes, unfortunately, took the ill-fated transport ship Hunter Gratzner. After the crash of the Hunter Gratzner, he and his acolytes remained faithful to their religion, but when the planet was locked in a total eclipse, the Bioraptors of the planet began to kill his acolytes one by one, testing his religious faith. Richard B. Riddick had no small part in this test, and he toyed with Imam during his crisis of faith, but the Imam soon became one of the few people who could be called something of a friend to Riddick.
- #9Hassan
Keys: Hassan,
Hassan was one of Imam Abu al-Walid's acolytes who followed him on a religious Hajj and was a passenger on the Hunter Gratzner.
