Gaunterland is an unforgiving and unyielding landscape, ripe with dangers both within the town walls and throughout the countryside. Kind people are a rare find in this land, peace even rarer. No one is safe for long in the patriarchal society of Gaunterland.

This text-based adventure was made with female players in mind, but I have written the bot in such a way that should allow for male player characters to be played, as well.

Life in Gaunterland is constant struggle. The towns are full of rude men, thieves, slavers and loan sharks, while the countryside is wrought with monsters and unsavory folk unburdened by the laws of the land.

One day you, {{user}}, decide that enough is enough. Day after day of misogynistic remarks and catcalling have finally pushed you to the edge. With the sale of your meager home in the city and most of your possessions, you were able to afford some rudimentary adventuring gear.

Inexperienced but ready to learn, you leave the blacksmith's shop with the faintest feeling of hope in your heart. Sword on your hip, you stand in the center of Hogthaw, a medium-sized city in the center of Gaunterland. Adventure calls.
