Trivia: This series has some elements and inspirations from other mystery cartoons like Captain Caveman, The Funky Phantom, Speed Buggy, and The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries. This show include a new voice cast instead of the original cast, and it also includes five new main characters who are the new members of the Mystery Inc. crew. It is also a crossover series with Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes. It would be an AU if Sylvester and Tweety are created by Hanna-Barbera instead of Warner Bros.
Official description of the Mystery Gang: Scooby-Doo (voiced by Mason Klusek): The main protagonist of the series, and the main mascot of the Mystery Gang. Unlike most incarnations, he can now speak in complete sentences, and can speak clear and perfect English. While he is still cowardly, dimwitted and food-loving in this series, Scooby-Doo is now also more down-to-earth, easy-going, yet intelligent and wise. He and his cousin Scruffy-Doo would usually act as a duo of dog detectives (similar to Woofer and Wimper from Clue Club). His main catchphrase is "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!". Norville "Shaggy" Rogers (voiced by Nick Palatas): Scooby's 17-year-old owner and other best friend. His personality is a mix of those of his original and "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!" counterpart. Like in most incarnations, Shaggy is a cowardly, laid-back and perpetually hungry slacker more interested in eating than solving mysteries. He is the cowardly and lazy member of the group who likes baggy clothing, and can turn into his reluctant werewolf form, Shagwolf, every time he sees the full moon or something related to the moon. In this series, he appears to have a crush on Marilyn. In "Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf", Shaggy decides to keep his werewolf form and transform the same way as Fangface did. However, unlike Fangface, Shagwolf knows that he and Shaggy are the same being. His main catchphrase is usually "Zoinks!", with his secondary ones being "Like" and "Groovy!". Both Scooby and Shaggy can be easily bribed with "Scooby Snacks" in order to act as the gang's live bate when it comes to catching kooks. The reason Shaggy eats so much (and maintains his slender physique in human form along with a muscular werewolf form) is his "high metabolism". He is also very fond of baseball, having grown up watching the Gypsy Moths at a young age. Fred Jones (voiced by Robbie Amell): The 17-year-old adorkable leader and trap master of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Gang. Like in most incarnations, Fred usually takes the lead in solving mysteries. He believes he's the "man with the plan", with the help of his trusty and cherished Mystery Machine. Fred is cool, calm, and collected. Fred is a natural leader. He might not be the most exciting guy in the world, but he approaches each case with the seriousness and care it deserves. He is level-headed, benevolent, lion-hearted, noble, educated, patient, serious, protective, rational, strategic, responsible and determined. Although generally a very nice and neat guy, Fred can be bossy at times forcing Shaggy and Scooby to take part in nabbing the villain despite their fears and/or better judgment. He is a control freak and takes mysteries overly seriously as the "be all and end all" due to the burden of leadership placed on him, and he expects the others to follow his lead. He loves making plans, going on adventures, creating booby traps and solving mysteries. Fred is the glue that keeps the team together as the leader, planner, builder, survivalist, engineer and tinker. Fred views mysteries as a chess match, planning traps and moves to catch the bad guy. Even though Fred has his moments of failure and being goofy, he is almost always two or three steps ahead of the monsters. Fred is also always contributing useful information to the gang to help solve the mystery. He also appears to have a crush on Daphne. His main catchphrases are "Let's split up, gang!" and "Hold the phone!". Daphne Blake (voiced by Kate Melton): The 16-year-old vain, rich, glamour and fashionable beauty of the group. Like in most incarnations, Daphne is portrayed as the beautiful, enthusiastic, and eager to help, but occasionally clumsy and danger-prone member of the gang (hence her nickname, "Danger-prone Daphne") who follows her intuition. She sometimes serves as the damsel in distress and would occasionally get kidnapped, tied up, and then left imprisoned. However, she is also a rich and wealthy young woman with a haughty, sarcastic, headstrong, snarky, tsundere-like and quick-tempered personality who has a strong disbelief in supernatural stuff, and is not fond of getting dirty and messy (just like her child counterpart in A Pup Named Scooby Doo). She is quite stylish, prim, proper and dainty. She would commonly call upon her butler, Jenkins, to do various tasks, such as ridding her of people, beating a monster up, etc. She also has a bigger interest in fashion and shopping in this series, and can be pretty vain and snarky at times. She also appears to have a crush on Fred. Daphne is the rich member of the gang and she likes to shop, fashion and taking care of her appearance. Daphne is the fashion queen of the team who brings lots of style to the group, and even though she is called "danger-prone" because of her mistakes, Daphne does almost everything in style. Even when she gets captured, in trouble, or when she makes a mistake, Daphne still always makes sure it has no effect on her fashion or her beauty. She also still looks on the bright side even if she is in danger. Daphne loves fashion and fancy things, but also cares about her friends and will sometimes use her things she loves to help or save her friends. Daphne has an obsession for shopping, fashion and style just as Scooby and Shaggy have for food, and Fred has for traps. She has been known to get distracted by her obsession. She is the most mature, headstrong and maternalistic member of the team who keeps the gang in focus, making her the "Team Mom". She is often the one holding the team together and is the one keeping them out of trouble. Her main catchphrase is "Jeepers!". Velma Dinkley (voiced by Hayley Kiyoko): The 16-year-old brainiac of the team. Her personality is a mix of those of both her "Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated" and "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo" counterparts. Velma is depicted to be a smart aleck with a dry sense of humor, and has a bit of a tomboyish attitude, but can be just as smart as regular versions of her. She is of Jewish-Japanese descent. The neurotic and bookish yet sassy brainiac, she's always the smartest person in the room, which can make her socially awkward around some folks, but this also enhances her brand of humor and charm. Like in most incarnations, Velma is usually portrayed as a highly intelligent young woman with various interests ranging from highly specified sciences or merely being very well-read on various and sometimes obscure information, such as Norse writing. Due to her intelligence and problem-solving abilities, Velma is typically the first one to solve the mystery and, like Sherlock Holmes and many other fictional detectives, often keeps her conclusions secret till the end of the story. Velma is characterized as the most skeptical of the gang (the second being Fred and the third being Daphne) and is most likely to discount any paranormal explanations to their mysteries. Velma and her cousin Marilyn both have a lot in common. Both of them have obsessions: one for mysteries, the other for magic. Both of them study and read a lot and over analyze almost everything (ironically, Velma thinks Marilyn is the most nerdy one). Velma is so smart she mentions that she has a book for every occasion. She seems to have an amazing singing voice. Velma's main catchphrase is "Jinkies", which she says when spooked, excited, discovered something or a clue, and during many other occasions. She is implied to be Jewish: she listens to Klezmer music, and frequently exclaims "Oy" and "Oy gevalt". She also has a case of coulrophobia (a fear of clowns) due to what happened on her fifth birthday. She is bisexual in this version, and appears to have a crush on Riff. Her other catchphrase is "My glasses! I can't see without my glasses!". Scruffy-Doo (voiced by Josh Keaton): Scooby's Silver Great Dane cousin and best friend. He is known as the "inverse-Scooby" of the team. He is based on the old character Scrappy-Doo. Scruffy-Doo is known as a rescue/service dog. Scruffy has some of Scrappy's signature traits, like his confidence, bravery, and eagerness to solve mysteries. However, he is also clever, friendly, protective, sly, smart, sometimes sneaky, and happy-go-lucky. He is also similar to the other old character Scooby-Dum, but is not dimwitted. He apparently wants to be a police dog, and this leads to him eagerly investigating mysteries and always carrying a magnifying glass with him, which he brings out of nowhere. Whenever the word "clue" is mentioned, he replies with "Dum, dum, dum, dum!" in the manner of Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, and proceeds to pull out the magnifying glass to begin looking around. Scruffy is the energetic and adventurous member of the gang, always ready to dive into action, but his enthusiasm can lead to both solutions and challenges during investigations. Scruffy likes to learn important lessons in life. He also has some super keen senses of hearing, sight and smell. His favorite snacks are "Scruffy Yum-Yums", which can vary in many different forms. By consuming the nano-infused Scruffy Yum-Yums, he is granted super incredible powers of some such that last until he has digested them, which is usually signaled by a loud burp. He, his owner Waldo Newton, and their friends Riff Turner, Bridget Sinclair and Marilyn Diaz are known as a group of crime-solving, freelance journalists with their own mystery blog called the Beta Mystery Gang. His main catchphrases are "Ruffy-Duffy-Doo!", "Doggy Power!" and "Let me at 'em!". Walden "Waldo" Newton (voiced by Will Forte): Shaggy's 18-year-old cousin and best friend, and Scruffy's owner and other best friend. While he is just as cowardly as Shaggy, he appears as the "Steve Urkel" of the group. He is also known as the "inverse-Shaggy" of the group. He is the nerdy and inventive yet clumsy and accident-prone scientist, mechanic and inventor of the team, and could invent gadgets to help solve mysteries. Every time he creates an accident, he would say his main catchphrase "Did I do that?". He is also very clever and wisecracking, and would act as the comic relief of the gang. Sometimes when his inventions goes awry or out of control, he would say "That wasn't supposed to happen." (just like Widget from "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!"). He feels that he is too clumsy to help out with his team, but he is always willing to try his best no matter what. Wally is very capable with technology, science, mechanics, gadgets, and other sorts of gizmos. Waldo is generally portrayed as odd and dorky but kindhearted and good-natured character. However, he tends to be socially tone-deaf and other people, especially some of his friends, find him annoying. Waldo's saving grace is that he is a genuinely good person who cares about others (often putting their needs and wants ahead of his own) and over time others come to genuinely like him and treat him with more respect, even as he remains a walking sight gag and prone to random disasters. He has also created numerous inventions that were otherwise considered impossible, such as a machine which turned him into new versions of himself, as well as alter his personality into other celebrities whose DNA he inexplicably collected. After inheriting a large fortune from his Uncle Riker Tendon, he found himself plunged into a world of high-tech/mystical interdimensional crime-fighting. He is Bridget's crush and love interest. His other catchphrases are "Whoa, Mama!" and "Yipes!". Riff Turner (voiced by Zac Efron): Fred's 17-year-old cousin and best friend who is the self-proclaimed jock, muscle, powerhouse and brawn of the team. He is known as the "inverse-Fred" of the group. While Fred has neat blonde hair and blue eyes, Riff is born with spiky black hair and green eyes. He is of Indian-American descent. Riff is like a strong and athletic protector, and acts as Fred's loyal sidekick. He proved to be an extremely loyal and useful member of the team. Unlike Fred, Riff is depicted as being outspoken, mischievous, confident, pessimistic, sarcastic, athletic, somewhat scatterbrained, less intelligent, slightly hyperactive, superstitious, rather excitable and more clueless to his surroundings. He often believes in crazy conspiracy theories and legends such as Bigfoot and mole people, and reads the magazine The National Exaggerator, which his uncle gains ownership of during the course of the series. He is mainly interested in sports, martial arts, wrestling, and weightlifting. He is rivals with the neighborhood bully Chad Herring (cousin of Red Herring), and likes to blame the mysteries on him. Riff is a know-it-all and cracks quips and jokes more often then the rest of the gang, and seems quite confident in his (rather proficient) ability to smooth talk his way out of a situation (usually prefaced with a smarmy, "Hiya, neighbor! What can I do ya for?"). He is also very bratty and spoiled, but is also said to be lonely. He is also the local hustler and secret keeper in Coolsville, and likes to sell ghost-hunting equipment and souvenirs. He also has a crush on Velma. His main catchphrases are "Right on, man!" and "Holy cow!". Bridget Sinclair (voiced by Amanda Seyfried): Daphne's 16-year-old cousin and best friend who is the eccentric oddball and emotional supporter of the team. She is known as the "inverse-Daphne" of the group. While Daphne has her long strawberry blonde hair, Bridget is born with long dark cherry red hair and teal eyes. She is of Scottish-American descent. She has the same personality as Daphne's "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo" counterpart. Unlike Daphne, Bridget is a very eccentric and quirky but friendly and compassionate rich girl from a wealthy family and background. Almost every week she has a new obsession, such as puppets, roller skates, beards, feng shui and more. She even has a to-do list, which has all of these hobbies on them. She is an energetic, zany, perky, silly and comical go-getter with a total obsession with supernatural and paranormal stuff. Bridget serves as the team's charismatic ace communicator and emotional supporter. She's claimed to have an efficient sense of social dynamics and connection within her own team, outsiders, and social media. Bridget is a bubbly, fun-loving young woman who is always in a good mood. She might be klutzy sometimes, but she has her moments of pulling off amazing things which makes up for her mistakes. She is always trying something new that might make her seem "kooky" on the surface. It is almost as if she is trying to find her role in the Mystery Gang, and she actually has a list of things to try. However, this seemingly random aspect of her personality can be an annoyance to others (mainly Velma and Fred). Some of the gang gets quite annoyed with her at times, while she doesn't see anything wrong with it. Despite these "flaws", she is always there to perk the Mystery Gang up as a metaphorical cheerleader, or on one occasion a mascot. When everyone has doubts about being able to solve the mystery they are on, she is able to point out how important everyone is and remind them of their respective roles. Despite her kooky personality, Bridget is known as a friendly, diligent, affectionate, protective, heroic, patient, nurturing, efficient, bold, loyal, adventurous, kind-hearted, encouraging, determined, thrill-seeking, polite, level-headed, honorable, nice and even-tempered young lady, while also possessing pride in her heritage and a love of history. She is very close with her cousin Daphne, with whom she shares some personality traits with. She is actually very smart and knows how to defend herself by taking plenty of gymnastics, martial arts and athletic lessons. She is able to pick locks with whatever item is available and recognize famous people and objects, she knows how to drive motorcycles and fast vehicles, and she is a total skater girl (mainly on roller skating). Thanks to these skills, she serves as the gang's informant and bodyguard. She is a confident and adventurous reporter who also serves as the group's financial advisor and a support benefactor to Waldo. She is also a very resourceful and creative person and a skilled cheerleader. Her main catchphrases are "What a hoot!" and "Gazooks!". Marilyn Diaz (voiced by Gina Rodriguez): Velma's 15-year-old cousin and best friend who is the most fun-loving, chipper, joyful and curious member of the group. She is based on Madelyn Dinkley (an exclusive character from "Scooby-Doo: Abracadabra-Doo"). She is known as the "inverse-Velma" of the group. While Marilyn is Velma's younger cousin, she is actually taller and skinnier than her (making people think she is the older cousin). She is of Latin-American descent. Her personality is similar to Bubbles Blowton from Jabberjaw and Melody Valentine from Josie and the Pussycats, making her the slightly ditzy, whimsical, quirky and unconventional yet kind and innocent nerd of the group. Marilyn is also an energetic, fun, bouncy, hyperactive, enthusiastic and free-spirited optimist who skips through life (similar to Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls, Ami Onuki from Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi and Queen Poppy from Trolls). It is her outgoing personality and fearless curiosity that comes in handy when the others need help solving a mystery, even if she isn't always aware of her silliness. While she is a nerd, she is also half girly and half tomboyish. She may be somewhat ditzy and bipolar, and can mess things up sometimes, but there are times when she is actually pretty smart, helpful, and a quick thinker and learner too. She is also particularly shy and soft-spoken at times, and can be quite a wallflower. She also has a special sixth sense called the "Mystical Sense", and can predict what happens before or after. She also loves anime, manga, cosplay, cartoons, video games, card games, cooking and animals. With her somewhat active imagination, she can be over-the-top at times. Aside from that, Marilyn is shy, moe-like, thoughtful, serene, sweet and kind. Marilyn may be the youngest of the group, but that does not stop her from lending a hand. She uses her knowledge of various topics to work with the rest of her friends in stopping silly monsters that are usually weirdos in kooky masks. She earns the nickname "Moe-Eyes Diaz", due to her innocence, moe-like and childlike outlook. Marilyn seems more extroverted, while Velma is more introverted. She's actually rather over-caring for her friends and loved ones, as she wants to protect them from harm's way, despite all they've been through. Unlike Velma, she's not a skeptic, knowing full well that monsters and myths are based on facts, but also believes that monsters and magic exists in some way. Velma and Marilyn love each other more than anything and are very protective of one another, but Velma can't stand Marilyn's tendency to make rash choices and often rubs it in her face. But overall, they still love each other as sisters. She appears to be excellent in magic tricks and loves reading mystic books, mythology books, mystery novels and fantasy novels. She also has a huge crush on Shaggy, and loves to have fun. Her main catchphrases are "Mysteries are magical!", "Wowee!" and "Great Caesar's Ghost!". Thomas "Tom" Cat (voiced by Josh Brener): One of the animal members of the Mystery Gang. Like most of his incarnations, he likes to chase Jerry. He usually speaks in clear English (like his counterpart from "Tom and Jerry: The Movie (1992)"). He can be a bit cowardly, even when Shaggy turns into Shagwolf (hence the reason why he has so many umbrella hats to pretend he's an umbrella, hoping Shagwolf won't find him). He and Jerry put their differences behind them and help their friends solve mysteries. Tom is usually convinced by "Tom Treats" like Scooby is with "Scooby Snacks". Just like Riff, Tom has a rivalry with Spike the Bulldog, and likes to blame the mysteries on him. His main catchphrases are "Meowza!" and "Don't you believe it!". Though passionate about the job, he is a happy-go-lucky, free-spirited, genial hotshot who is sometimes immature and forgets to think before he acts. He spends his free time reading comic books and playing video games, and is a known candy addict. Tom Cat, with his sleek gray fur and mischievous demeanor, brings a feline charm to the Mystery Gang. Despite his natural instinct to chase Jerry, Tom has evolved into an integral part of the team. Tom's collection of umbrella hats serves as both a comical disguise and a clever strategy to avoid Shagwolf. Each hat is uniquely designed, reflecting Tom's creativity in blending style with practicality. Whenever Tom faces a challenge or gets caught up in a humorous situation, his go-to exclamation is "Meowza!" This catchphrase showcases his feline enthusiasm and adds a touch of whimsy to the gang's adventures. Just like Scooby-Doo and his love for Scooby Snacks, Tom is easily convinced to participate in mystery-solving missions with the promise of "Tom Treats." These delectable goodies become the key to motivating Tom when the gang needs his assistance. Tom's ongoing rivalry with Spike the Bulldog adds an extra layer of humor and rivalry dynamics to the group. Despite their differences, Tom occasionally teams up with Spike to unravel mysteries, putting their animosity aside for the greater good. Tom often approaches mysterious situations with a skeptical mindset. When confronted with supernatural explanations or unlikely events, he retorts with his signature phrase, "Don't you believe it!" showcasing his disbelief in the paranormal. Jerrica "Jerry" Mouse (voiced by Stephanie Nadolny): One of the animal members of the Mystery Gang. Jerry is remade into a female mouse. Like her counterpart from 1992's "Tom and Jerry: The Movie", she can also talk in clear English. Jerry helps Fred with the trap-making like she did with Tom. Jerry is a quick-thinker and knows what to do, even when the traps didn't go according to plan. Her favorite snacks are "Jerry Bites". Her main catchphrases are "Holy Cheese!" and "Geronimo!". Similar to Gadget Hackwrench from Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, she also acts as the team's pilot, mechanic, safety expert, circus performer, contortionist, fabric acrobatics, lyra acrobatics and inventor. Jerry Mouse, the clever and resourceful female mouse of the Mystery Gang, brings her own brand of ingenuity to the team. Jerry's character embraces a feminine touch, with a sleek and agile demeanor that complements her quick thinking. She adds a touch of elegance to the group while maintaining her witty and mischievous personality. Jerry takes on the role of trap-making expert within the gang, utilizing her intelligence and knowledge of mechanics to assist Fred in crafting intricate traps. Her knack for engineering helps the gang capture villains in creative and unexpected ways. When faced with challenges, Jerry's quick thinking becomes a valuable asset to the gang. Her ability to adapt and come up with solutions on the spot adds a dynamic element to the group's problem-solving efforts. Jerry's love for "Jerry Bites" becomes a running theme, and these specially crafted treats often serve as incentives for her or even as bait in some of the gang's trap setups. The gang members occasionally use Jerry Bites strategically to lure out suspects. "Holy Cheese!" becomes Jerry's enthusiastic exclamation when faced with surprising or extraordinary situations. Additionally, "Geronimo!" is her fearless cry when leaping into action, showcasing her adventurous spirit. Sylvester J. Pussycat (voiced by Eric Bauza): One of the animal members of the Mystery Gang, and is made as Tom's cousin. He is mainly based on his counterpart from "The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries". Like in other incarnations, Sylvester continually tries to devour Tweety for his supper, though he is always thwarted by Hector or Tweety's craftiness. Despite their never-ending feud, the pair manage to get along for the most part and help the others solve mysteries, and Sylvester will defend Tweety when someone else tries to harm the canary. Sylvester also unwittingly discovers many clues, claiming as the narrator to have knowledge of the case (though this is probably bluster). Besides chasing Tweety, Sylvester often explores the surroundings, leading him to sometimes be in awkward situations (i.e. being chased by a male cousin of Pepe Le Pew, Pitu Le Pew or using Granny's umbrella to pierce a villain's blimp). Through these situations, the baritone and tenor singing, lisping Tuxedo cat endures all manner of pain and suffering, but comes out none the worse for wear. Sylvester is allergic to wool and is jealous of Tweety. Sylvester and Tom are very close cousins/best friends, and like to share with each other. His favorite snacks are "Sylvester Snacks". His main catchphrases are "Sufferin' Succotash!" and "Oh my whiskers!". Tweety Bird (voiced by Kate Miccuci): One of the animal members of the Mystery Gang, and is depicted to be best friends with Jerry in this series. Like Jerry, Tweety is now a cute but mischievous female yellow canary. She is mainly based on her counterpart from "The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries". As always, Tweety is often trying to escape Sylvester by foiling him through either her flying, clever timing, or her bodyguard Hector the Bulldog. Tweety usually stays with Granny and is responsible for some major clues. Despite her feud with Sylvester, the pair will sometimes get along and team up if Granny or any of their team is threatened and can work together very well. Tweety also serves as a source of ironic humor at times, usually in reference to Sylvester's foiled attempts to eat her. Tweety also gets along with Jerry, and the two little critters can always find a way to trap disguised villains while trying to escape Tom and Sylvester. Her favorite snacks are "Tweety Clusters". Her main catchphrases are"I tawt I taw a puddy tat!" and "Bad ol' puddy tat!" (which both will vary in many episodes). Emma "Granny" Webster (voiced by Candi Milo): A practical old-fashioned world-renowned detective who acts as a mentor of sorts to the Mystery Gang. Granny travels the globe with the Gang, attending events such as races or canary contest and is often called upon by the locals to solve a crime. However, there have been attempts to frame Granny, causing some difficulty in finding clues. She is overprotective of Tweety, and will not hesitate to give Sylvester a good whack on the head. She sometimes calls upon the cat to investigate clues or defend the group while they sleep, though, showing signs of obvious trust. Granny is good natured mostly, but can become stern. Hector the Bulldog (voiced by John DiMaggio): An ally of the team who is Granny's pet bulldog and Tweety's bodyguard. Hector usually keeps Sylvester from eating the canary and will often beat him up if he gets in his way. Hector will defend Granny or the Mystery Gang (even Sylvester) if threatened, but is not above stealing food or trying to please others.
Official description of the Secondary Characters: Mumsy-Doo: The Mother for the Doos. Elsa is a warm, loving mother and wife to her pups and her husband, respectively, though she is decisively the firmer parent as Hank tends to be a little too emotional. She places a great amount of trust and love in her youngest son, Scooby and Ruby, to care for their brothers while she and Hank are away at their jobs. Dada-Doo: The Father for the Doos. He and her wife, elsa are Coach dogs for the Dooville Gym. Much like Scooby, he enjoys eating and can be scared easy, but when Buster McMuttMauler cornered his puppies, he bravely came to the rescue. He loves his family and children very much. Skippy-Doo: The oldest child of the Doo Siblings. Skippy is Scooby science nerdy brother. Being probably the most intelligent pup, Scooby usually trust him and ask him for help. He the more responsible one between his siblings. He is a major stickler for the rules, which in turn can make him come across as pedantic and a bit of a neat freak. While sometimes anxious, Skippy is very protective of his family, willing to charge into situations he finds scary if any of them are in danger. Which makes him worried and is sometimes shown to overreact from his anxiety, becoming overly protective to those around him, which the other Dogs have dubbed as "Skippy Smartypants ". Howdy-Doo: The second oldest of the Doo Siblings. Howdy is Scooby Lazy brother. Like his Dad and Mom, he displays a lack of ambition and a propensity for sarcasm toward his brothers and sister. He relaxes in almost every day, by video games, watching TV, and Reading Comics. He sees Activity in the world is boring in every way. Him and Scooby are odd couple silly fellow brother and giant fans of Dynomutt, a multimedia franchise starring the daring canine hero of the same name. Howdy loves the way he goes "Smooth With The Ladies" but mostly getting himself Stupidly Shutdown. Yabba-Doo: The second youngest of the Doo Siblings. Scrappy helped this canine sheriff and his human Deputy Dusty, uphold law and order in a small town in the western United States. Unlike Scooby and Scruffy-Doo, his typical custom catch-phrase is, "Yippity-Yabbity-Doo". Yabba is a stark contrast to Scooby; he is brave at any given time, not only when it is necessary. He will do anything to protect Tumbleweed county, including cross dressing. He also pronounces his words clearly, albeit with an accent. He also cares for his nephew, Scrappy-Doo, after the latter and Scooby went their separate ways. His favorite food is Chili Snacks, just like Scooby is with Scooby Snacks. Ruby-Doo: The youngest of the Doo Siblings. Ruby is Scooby Tomboyish sister. She loves to have fun all day long. She is not too strict with her family and likes to test her limits on her family especially Scooby and Howdy on fun ideas with them, even though it can sometimes be dangerous, which causes them to worry. She is more adventurous and outgoing than her brothers, especially Scooby. While Ruby tends to go behind or against Skippy's wishes, she is still a caring little sister to all her brothers and can be sufficiently responsible for watching out and caring for them. He and her wife Mumsy are Coach dogs for the Coolsville Gym. Much like Scooby, he enjoys eating and can be scared easy, but when Buster McMuttMauler cornered his puppies, he bravely came to the rescue. He loves his family and children very much..
The Great Mysteries of Scrappy-Doo! is a Scooby-Doo AU spin-off. Official description of the Puppy Power Detective Agency (PPDA): Scrappy-Doo: The enthusiastic and fearless leading mascot of the team, known for his catchphrases "Scrappy-Dappy-Doo!" and "Puppy Power!". He is energetic, confident, and always ready to jump into action despite his small size. He has the skills of quick-thinking, agility, and a knack for getting into tight spots to uncover clues. He has some of his signature traits, like his confidence, bravery, and eagerness to solve mysteries. However, he is also clever, friendly, protective, sometimes sneaky, and happy-go-lucky. Scrappy is the energetic and adventurous member of the gang, always ready to dive into action, but his enthusiasm can lead to both solutions and challenges during investigations. Scrappy likes to learn important lessons in life. He also has a keen sense of smell. Maggie "Sugie" Rogers: Scrappy's owner and the younger sister of Shaggy. Much like her brother Shaggy, Sugie is laid-back, easygoing, and has a quirky sense of humor. She's often seen as the team's comic relief but can surprise everyone with her quick thinking in tense situations. She might share some physical traits with Shaggy, such as a similar hair color and casual style, but with her own unique twist—perhaps a bit more fashion-forward or colorful. Despite her seemingly carefree attitude, Sugie has a sharp sense of observation and an uncanny ability to stumble upon clues. She also shares Shaggy's incredible appetite and love for food, often leading to humorous situations. Sugie acts as the heart of the team, keeping everyone's spirits high with her positivity and humor. Her knack for finding clues and her ability to stay calm under pressure make her an unexpectedly valuable member. She shares a close bond with her brother Shaggy, often referencing his advice or experiences in their conversations. She also quickly becomes friends with the other team members, particularly connecting with Madelyn over their shared enthusiasm and zest for life. She has the ability to transform into a reluctant werewolf named Sugwolf. Like her brother, she can be cowardly, even in her "Sugwolf" form. Luckily, Scrappy can act like her bodyguard, but she can get too worried that Scrappy can get hurt. She's a bit like Fangpuss (Baby Fangs) but she remembers that she and Sugwolf are the same. She and her brother share the same catchphrase, which is "Zoinks!". Despite her fears, her ideas occasionally become instrumental in solving mysteries, surprising everyone with their unexpected usefulness. Madelyn Dinkley: The fun and joy of the team. Madelyn is cheerful, bubbly, and full of enthusiasm. She's known for her infectious laugh and positive outlook on life. Unlike her more serious sister Velma, Madelyn approaches mysteries with a sense of adventure and fun. Madelyn might have some physical resemblances to Velma, such as wearing glasses, but her style is more vibrant and playful. She enjoys wearing bright colors and fun accessories, reflecting her lively personality. While she may not be as academically inclined as Velma, Madelyn possesses a strong intuition and creative thinking skills. She's great at coming up with unconventional solutions and thinking outside the box. Madelyn serves as the morale booster of the group. Her upbeat attitude keeps the team motivated, even in the face of challenging mysteries. She's also the team's creative problem solver, often devising clever and unexpected ways to crack a case. Madelyn has a love for performing arts, particularly singing and dancing, and often incorporates these talents into their investigations. She might use her skills to distract suspects or gather information in a lighthearted manner. She shares a close bond with her sister Velma, who she admires greatly, even if they have different approaches to solving mysteries. Within the team, she quickly forms a strong friendship with Sugie, as their personalities complement each other well. Flim-Flam McScam: The con artist and brawn of the team. Flim-Flam is a street-smart, quick-witted, and resourceful teenager. He has a knack for getting out of tight spots and thinking on his feet. Despite his shady past and con artist tendencies, he has a good heart and is loyal to his friends. Flim-Flam dresses in a slightly flashy, yet practical style. He might wear a mix of casual clothes with a few standout accessories, like a signature hat or a unique piece of jewelry that hints at his past adventures. As a former con artist, Flim-Flam is skilled in persuasion, lock-picking, sleight of hand, and various other tricks of the trade. He's also physically fit, able to perform impressive feats of agility and strength when needed. Flim-Flam is the team's brawn and con artist, often using his skills to gather information, gain access to restricted areas, or create distractions. His past experiences make him a valuable asset in dealing with shady characters and navigating dangerous situations. Flim-Flam has a checkered past, having been involved in various scams and schemes. However, after meeting Scrappy-Doo and the rest of the team, he decided to use his skills for good, helping to solve mysteries and righting wrongs. Flim-Flam has a complex relationship with trust, often being wary of others due to his past. However, he deeply respects and cares for his teammates, particularly Alexa, whom he sees as a guiding moral compass. His dynamic with Sugie is playful and banter-filled, while he admires Ernie's intelligence and often seeks his advice for more intricate plans. Alexa Sato: The leader of the team. Alexa is confident, determined, and a natural leader. She is level-headed and strategic, always thinking several steps ahead. Her strong sense of justice and dedication to helping others make her an inspirational figure for the team. Alexa has a sleek and polished look, often wearing practical yet stylish outfits that reflect her organized and methodical nature. She might have a signature accessory, like a watch or a piece of jewelry, that she always wears. Alexa is highly intelligent and has excellent analytical skills. She is skilled in martial arts, providing both mental and physical strength to the team. Her leadership abilities and strategic thinking help guide the team through complex mysteries. As the leader, Alexa is responsible for coordinating the team's efforts and ensuring everyone works together effectively. She often devises the plans and strategies they use to solve mysteries and keeps everyone focused and motivated. Alexa comes from a family with a strong sense of duty and community service, which has influenced her own values and drive to help others. She has a background in various disciplines, including science and martial arts, which she uses to contribute to the team's success. Alexa is seen as a big sister figure by the rest of the team, especially Scrappy-Doo, who looks up to her leadership and bravery. She has a close friendship with Ernie, often collaborating with him on the intellectual aspects of their cases. Her dynamic with Flim-Flam is one of mutual respect, with her providing the moral compass he sometimes needs. Jake Underwood: The artistic and athletic member of the team. Jake is artistic, athletic, and laid-back. He has a creative spirit and is often the one to come up with unique and imaginative solutions to problems. His easygoing nature makes him a calming presence within the team. Jake has an athletic build and typically dresses in casual, sporty attire. He might often be seen with a sketchbook or a sports accessory, like a basketball or skateboard, reflecting his interests. Jake excels in both artistic and athletic endeavors. He is a talented artist, often sketching crime scenes or suspects, and his physical agility makes him adept at chasing down clues or navigating tricky environments. He also has a knack for parkour and other physical activities that require dexterity and speed. Jake serves as the team's artist and physical specialist. He provides visual reconstructions and uses his athleticism to perform tasks that require physical prowess. His creativity also helps the team think outside the box when solving mysteries. Jake comes from a family of artists and athletes, which has influenced his dual passions. He has a deep appreciation for both physical fitness and artistic expression, and he often finds ways to combine the two in his everyday life. Jake shares a close bond with Madelyn, appreciating her fun-loving nature and often collaborating with her on creative projects. He also respects Alexa's leadership and relies on her strategic thinking to guide his physical efforts. His friendship with Ernie is based on mutual admiration for each other's talents, often combining Jake's visuals with Ernie's technical knowledge to crack cases. Ernie Matthews: The brains of the team. Ernie is highly intelligent, analytical, and somewhat introverted. He has a deep passion for science and technology, often getting lost in his experiments and research. Despite his quiet demeanor, he is dependable and always ready to help his friends with his extensive knowledge. Ernie has a scholarly look, often wearing glasses and practical, slightly geeky clothing. He might carry a tablet or a gadget-laden backpack, always prepared to whip out a device to help solve a mystery. Ernie is a tech whiz and a science prodigy. He excels in programming, hacking, and creating gadgets that aid the team in their investigations. His analytical mind allows him to piece together clues and solve puzzles with ease. Ernie is the brains of the team, responsible for all things technical and scientific. He often creates and maintains the gadgets the team uses and provides crucial insights that help crack the toughest cases. His methodical approach balances the team's more intuitive and physical methods. Ernie has always been fascinated by technology and science, spending most of his free time tinkering with gadgets and conducting experiments. His parents, both scientists, have nurtured his curiosity and supported his endeavors. Ernie looks up to Alexa for her leadership and often seeks her advice on how to apply his technical skills to their investigations. He has a close friendship with Jake, enjoying their collaborative efforts where Ernie's tech complements Jake's artistic reconstructions. He also appreciates Flim-Flam's resourcefulness, even if he sometimes finds his methods unorthodox.
APNSD: Personalities for the PPDA Scrappy-Doo: Scrappy is friendly, adventurous, bold, determined, and fiercely protective of the people and animals he loves. He has a heroic spirit that burns far brighter than his small size would suggest, and he is almost always willing to stand up for himself, his friends, and anyone being mistreated. Unlike his uncle Scooby, Scrappy does not naturally freeze in fear when faced with ghosts, monsters, villains, or creepy legends, and he often sees danger as something to challenge rather than something to avoid. However, Scrappy’s courage is no longer portrayed as simple recklessness. After receiving a meaningful pep talk from Jay, Scrappy has learned that being brave does not mean pretending he is invincible, ignoring advice, or forcing others to drag him away when the situation becomes too dangerous. He now understands that there are moments when a hero should fight, moments when a hero should think, and moments when a hero should run so he can come back with a better plan. This change has made Scrappy more humble and more willing to listen to his friends. He still loves dramatic speeches, big declarations, and the chance to shout “Puppy Power!” before springing into action, but he is better at recognizing when Alex has a plan, when Ernie needs time to explain a device, when Jake is trying to warn him about a physical danger, and when Maggie is asking him to stay close because she is worried. Scrappy remains naive in certain ways, mostly because he is still only a five-month-old puppy with enormous confidence and limited life experience. He sometimes takes villains’ taunts too personally, overestimates the reliability of an unfinished gadget, or assumes that a trap will work exactly as planned just because he built it with enthusiasm. Still, he learns quickly from mistakes and is far less stubborn than he used to be. One of Scrappy’s most important qualities is his compassion. Beneath all the barking, boasting, and boldness, Scrappy is a deeply caring pup who hates seeing others bullied, abandoned, frightened, or treated as though they do not matter. This comes partly from his own painful experience at the Knittingham Puppy Farm, where many people dismissed him as annoying and unadoptable despite his good heart. Scrappy is especially loyal to Maggie Rogers, his owner, best friend, and closest companion. Their bond is one of the strongest in the PPDA, and Scrappy takes his role as Maggie’s protector very seriously, even though Maggie is far from helpless herself. He loves appearing in ScrappySnax, helping her investigate mysteries, and staying by her side the way Scooby stays by Shaggy. Although Scrappy admires Scooby deeply, he no longer defines himself only by trying to prove that he is braver than his uncle. Instead, he has come to understand that Scooby’s kind of bravery is different but still real, because Scooby can be terrified and still choose to help the people he loves. This realization gives Scrappy a more mature respect for his uncle and helps him see courage as more than fearlessness. As the PPDA’s trapper, Scrappy also reveals a surprisingly clever and resourceful side. He enjoys setting up traps to catch ghosts and monsters, and while his first ideas can be overenthusiastic, he often demonstrates a good understanding of timing, bait, distraction, and teamwork. With Alex’s planning, Jake’s physical help, Ernie’s gadgets, and Maggie’s documentation, Scrappy’s traps can become extremely effective. At his core, Scrappy is still the same spirited puppy who wants to help, protect, and make his family proud, but he has become more thoughtful, more cooperative, and more emotionally grounded. He no longer needs to be dragged away from every fight, because he has learned that true puppy power is not just about charging forward; it is about courage, heart, humility, and trusting the friends who stand beside him. Duke: Annie: Mac: Piper: Gemma: Alex Sato: Alex is a kind, down-to-earth, and thoughtful girl who enjoys reading, learning, and helping anyone in need, whether that means comforting a scared friend, defending someone from unfair treatment, or taking charge when a mystery becomes too overwhelming for the rest of the group. She has a strong moral compass and believes that people should use their talents to make things better, which is one of the biggest reasons she becomes so committed to mystery-solving after the events at Camp Kichihaha. Despite her generally nice and approachable nature, Alex is not overly soft, naive, or easy to push around. She can be very snarky and sassy when the situation calls for it, especially toward people who are arrogant, cruel, dishonest, or convinced that kids are too inexperienced to notice what is really going on. Her teasing is usually not mean-spirited when aimed at her friends, but when directed at someone who has earned it, Alex’s comments can be sharp enough to completely deflate their ego. Alex is highly intelligent and impressively observant, able to notice small inconsistencies in a suspect’s story, details in a costume, hidden mechanisms in a room, or clues that even Jake sometimes misses. At Camp Kichihaha, she was able to see through Dennis’ monster disguises every time he tried to frighten her and the others, which showed early on that she was not easily fooled by cheap scares, fake growls, or overdramatic “monster” performances. As the leader of the PPDA, Alex is calm under pressure and naturally good at organizing people, even when the situation becomes chaotic. She knows when to give directions, when to step back and listen, and when to trust her friends’ specialties rather than trying to handle everything herself. This makes her different from more controlling leaders, because Alex does not treat leadership as a chance to be in charge for its own sake; she treats it as a responsibility to keep everyone safe, focused, and working together. One of Alex’s most important leadership qualities is that she refuses to let the team split up in dangerous or spooky places, having already learned that a group is stronger and safer when everyone has each other’s backs. While some mystery solvers treat splitting up as the fastest way to cover ground, Alex sees it as an easy way to walk straight into a trap, and she would much rather move slower as a team than risk one of her friends being cornered by a villain. Although she can be brave, Alex is not fearless in the sense that nothing scares her. She can still feel nervous, startled, or uneasy when faced with frightening situations, but what separates her from many others is that she does not let fear make her careless or cruel. Instead, she takes a breath, looks at the facts, reminds herself that there is always an explanation, and helps her friends move forward with her. Jake Underwood: Jake is friendly, funny, chill, and naturally outgoing, usually serving as one of the easiest members of the PPDA to talk to because of his relaxed attitude and warm sense of humor. He likes making people laugh, easing tension during scary moments, and keeping the team’s spirits up when a mystery begins to feel too serious or overwhelming. As a competitive athlete, Jake enjoys sports and physical challenges, and he often gets excited when a mystery involves running, climbing, sneaking through obstacle-filled areas, or chasing after a suspect. His natural athleticism and agility make him a key member of the team during physically demanding situations, especially because he has a talent for parkour and can quickly move across fences, rooftops, trees, railings, and cluttered environments. Jake can be a little cocky at times, particularly when he is showing off a new trick, winning a race, or landing a difficult jump, but his confidence never truly crosses into arrogance. He may grin, joke, and act like he had everything under control the whole time, but he is still quick to admit when someone else has a better idea, and he never looks down on his friends for having different strengths. He is also a mischievous prankster who enjoys harmless jokes, quick surprises, and playful tricks, especially when the mood needs lightening. However, Jake’s pranks are never cruel or meant to humiliate anyone, and if one accidentally upsets a friend, he is usually mature enough to apologize and make it right. His mischief comes from playfulness rather than meanness, which makes him fun without making him irresponsible. Jake is deeply loyal to his friends and is always willing to help them, whether that means physically jumping into danger, distracting a fake monster, climbing somewhere the others cannot reach, or simply helping Ernie finish a sentence when the younger boy gets stuck on a simple word. This small habit of helping Ernie speaks volumes about Jake’s kindness, because he does it naturally and patiently, without making Ernie feel embarrassed. As an aspiring graffiti artist, Jake has a strong visual imagination and a deep appreciation for shapes, colors, designs, and creative expression. This talent makes him surprisingly perceptive during investigations, as he often notices crooked paint, copied artwork, fake symbols, mismatched footprints, altered signs, or strange markings that become key evidence in solving the mystery. Jake’s personality is ultimately a blend of humor, confidence, creativity, and loyalty, making him the kind of friend who can crack a joke in the middle of a chase, vault over a fence to grab a clue, and then sit down afterward to sketch the whole scene so the team can figure out what they missed. Ernie Mathews: Ernie is an extraordinarily intelligent, curious, and inventive young boy whose mind is constantly analyzing how things work, why they behave the way they do, and how they might be improved. He enjoys studying scientific principles, experimenting with technology, writing computer programs, solving puzzles, and building inventions that range from highly useful investigative tools to amusingly overcomplicated solutions for very simple problems. Despite being the smartest member of the PPDA, Ernie is remarkably humble about his abilities and does not expect the others to treat him as more important simply because he possesses advanced knowledge. He understands that Alex’s leadership, Jake’s physical and artistic talents, Maggie’s communication skills, and Scrappy’s courage are equally essential to the team, and he is usually happy to admit when a problem falls outside his own area of expertise. Ernie is still a child, however, and his advanced intelligence does not automatically grant him maturity in every situation. He can become so absorbed in a calculation, invention, or explanation that he fails to notice obvious events happening around him, including people leaving the room, a suspect behaving suspiciously, or a costumed monster standing directly behind him. This occasional obliviousness creates a humorous contrast between his extraordinary academic intelligence and his imperfect everyday awareness. His unusual vocabulary problem provides another major source of comedy. Ernie can effortlessly remember complex scientific terms, describe advanced technological principles, and use words that many adults would struggle to understand, but he often becomes stuck when trying to recall simple, ordinary words. Jake frequently finishes these sentences for him, having become so familiar with Ernie’s speech patterns that he can often identify the missing word before Ernie finishes explaining what it means. Rather than becoming angry when Jake helps him, Ernie is usually grateful, mildly embarrassed, or fascinated by how quickly Jake understood him. Their exchanges demonstrate that Ernie’s difficulties do not come from lacking knowledge, but from a mind that sometimes reaches for the most complex possible description before locating the simplest term. Ernie is also far more open-minded than many people expect a scientifically inclined character to be. He believes that evidence should guide conclusions, but he does not believe that every unexplained phenomenon should be dismissed as impossible before it has been investigated. To Ernie, saying that something cannot exist simply because current science does not understand it would be intellectually dishonest. Although Ernie is not naturally fearless, his curiosity can sometimes overpower his caution, causing him to approach strange machines, mysterious substances, or unusual creatures before considering whether they might be dangerous. Alex and Jake often have to remind him to test things from a safe distance rather than leaning directly over them while delivering an excited scientific explanation. At heart, Ernie is a generous, earnest, and good-natured child who wants his inventions to make people’s lives safer and easier. He admires great scientists and detectives, but he does not dream of becoming famous merely for being intelligent; instead, he hopes to become knowledgeable enough to solve problems that nobody else can and compassionate enough to use that knowledge responsibly. Maggie Rogers: Maggie is kind, sweet, honest, and naturally empathetic, often serving as one of the emotional anchors of the PPDA. She cares deeply about her friends and does not like seeing people frightened, mocked, or pushed around, especially because she knows what it feels like to be treated as strange or different. Her kindness is one of her defining qualities, but it never makes her helpless, because Maggie has enough backbone to stand up to people who are cruel, arrogant, or disrespectful. Unlike Shaggy, Maggie is not defined by fear, and while she can still become frightened during mysteries, she is generally much braver than her older brother when facing spooky situations. She does not immediately run at the first sign of danger, and she is often willing to keep filming, follow a clue, or even act as live bait if it means helping the team catch a culprit. However, this bravery does not mean she is fearless, because Maggie can still become meek, timid, or nervous when a monster gets too close, especially if the situation feels genuinely dangerous. One of Maggie’s most unique qualities is that she actually likes monsters. She finds monster designs, creepy legends, haunted locations, and supernatural stories fascinating, and she often approaches frightening mysteries with curiosity rather than immediate terror. This does not mean she wants to be attacked by a monster, of course, but she is far more likely than Shaggy or Scooby to say that a creature looks “cool” before remembering that it is also chasing them. Maggie is also deeply honest, and this honesty shapes the way she runs ScrappySnax. She believes that mystery-solving should be documented truthfully, which means she does not like exaggerating evidence, falsely accusing suspects, or making the PPDA look better at the expense of the facts. Her blog and vlog posts are enthusiastic and entertaining, but she still tries to be fair, accurate, and respectful toward innocent people involved in a case. Despite her sweetness, Maggie has a mischievous side and enjoys pulling pranks, particularly on jerks, bullies, rude people, and monsters who have been terrorizing others. Her pranks are usually clever rather than mean-spirited, and she is especially satisfied when a fake monster gets a taste of its own medicine. In this way, she resembles Shaggy’s playful side while showing more courage and confidence in how she uses it. Maggie loves her big brother dearly and looks up to him in many ways, even though she is often stunned by his enormous appetite and does not share his food obsession. She has been close to Shaggy since they were younger, and she was the one who gave him the nickname “Shaggy” because of how shaggy his hair became. This detail remains very special to her, because it shows that she helped shape one of the most recognizable parts of her brother’s identity. At her core, Maggie is a girl who spent a long time feeling lonely and misunderstood, only to find a group of friends who accepted her weirdness, celebrated her interests, and helped her turn her love of mysteries into something meaningful. Because of that, she treasures the PPDA deeply and uses ScrappySnax not just to share their cases, but to prove that the things people once mocked her for can actually help others.
