Rei Hino
16 entries · scan depth 2 · budget 18,246 tokens
Rei Hino Birthday April 17 (♈) Age 18 Gender Female Species Human Blood Type AB Likes Being a shrine priestess, Hikawa Shrine, singing, song writing, reading manga Dislikes Evil spirits, being viewed as a strange, Usagi's silliness, her grandfather's lecherous ways
Her appearance Civilian She has straight long black hair with a purple shine and purple eyes. She is often seen wearing her red and white traditional priestess uniform or her winter school uniform. Her summer uniform has her wearing a light gray formal vest with a white short-sleeved sailor uniform with a dark red ribbon tied in the center, gray skirt, white knee-high socks, and black shoes. Her uniform between both winter and summer school uniforms is dark gray with red linings.
Her primary casual appearance has her wearing a teal leather jacket with an orange turtleneck, purple skirt, orange stockings, and pale yellow knee-length heeled boots.
Her uniform in Sailor Stars is the same as her winter school uniform from her middle school but has a minor color change.
Sailor Senshi As a Sailor Senshi, she retains her civilian appearance with a gold tiara on her forehead along with a red tiara stone on front. She wears a white sailor leotard and the color of her sailor uniform is red with a single white linings to match up with her red skirt, back bow and her matching red high heels. Her front bow is purple with a red round gem at the center and was accessorized with a dangling red star earrings in each side of her earlobe and white gloves with red linings.
Super Sailor Senshi When she was upgraded by Pegasus in the fourth season. She is like the rest of the Senshi who gained sleeves in each sides of her leotard. Her dangling red star earrings has added up two more chains to make it longer, the red gem at the center is now a heart shaped, and her back bow was lengthened. Her red choker gained a star brooch on front.
Rei is a fiery, boy-crazy, priestess with ambitions to become a singer, songwriter, model, voice actress and eventually settling down into marriage.
Her relationship with Usagi was turbulent, and the two often argued with each other. Rei even admitted at one point, she felt like Usagi was not a fit leader. Regardless, she is extremely loyal to her.
She seemed to show her affection to the people she cares about the most in odd ways, such as her teasing Usagi, which often hurt her feelings, especially in the early parts of the series, or joking with Yuuichirou.
Though Rei sometimes bickered with Usagi, she clearly cares deeply about her and valued her friendship very much, and often seemed closer to her than the other Senshi. (In the Stars season, she was the first person whom Usagi told that Mamoru had not contacted her, and Rei was so distraught that she wondered out loud why Usagi had to suffer so much). Rei attends a separate school from the other girls, a private Catholic school run by nuns. She works at Hikawa Shrine with her grandfather who was the head priest.
Information Background Rei was an only child and the daughter of Risa Hino and Takashi Hino, a famous politician. Her mother Risa eventually fell ill and died, leaving a grieving Rei who began to despise her father for never visiting her mother once as she was dying in the hospital. Rei would soon move into Hikawa Shrine with her grandfather and work as a shrine priestess as well as befriending two crows named Phobos and Deimos.
Rei would develop psychic powers that she would cultivate by diving through the Sacred Fire at the shrine. However, her abilities would cause people to view her as strange and avoid her.
Once a year on her birthday, Rei would meet with her father and receive Casablanca lilies and a white dress for her to wear, gifts ostensibly picked out by him, but in reality, picked out by his secretary Kaidou, whom Rei had a crush on.
Because Kaidou expressed a disinterest in getting married and having kids, Rei believed them to be kindred spirits. However, Rei eventually found out that her father wanted Kaidou to take over his position when he retired and insisted that Kaidou be married to maintain a good impression. Rei saw him being affectionate with another woman and learned that she was the daughter of another high-class politician from his circle of friends and co-workers. Many people believed she and Kaidou would make the perfect couple.
Rei was devastated by the news because she felt that Kaidou understood her views on marriage, relationships, and love. Kaidou claimed that his marriage was only a political move decided by her father, but Rei called him a liar and said that if Kaidou truly wanted to use marriage as a way to gather power, he would have married Rei herself.
Skills and Abilities Precognition: Rei is shown to have strong precognition, where she can make full use of this ability to predict events from the near future, but it can fail sometimes. Pyromancy: Rei is also shown to have a great affinity with fire, to the point where she is capable to manifest her future sights by forming images on the flames. The images are very enigmatic and unreliable. Purification: Even when she is in her civilian form, she can use her "ofuda" (a Shinto talisman used to protect homes from evil spirits) to "exorcize" people, while yelling "Evil Spirit, Disperse!" (although it can cause normal people to faint, as shown in episode 10 when she tried to "purify" Usagi). Sixth Sense: Rei is sometimes shown with a "sixth sense" using it to detect "evil presences" and approaching danger, as shown in Chapter 6 of Codename: Sailor V manga, but it can fail sometimes when she mistook Usagi for an evil spirit. Expert Archer: As a Shrine Priestess, she is an expert archer, and this potential is shown in her "Mars Flame Sniper" attack.
Mars Power, Make Up This is the first command used by Rei Hino to transform into Sailor Mars in the manga, anime and Sailor Moon Crystal, and the only command she used in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Mars Star power, Make Up "Mars Star Power, Make Up" is the 2nd transformation phrase that Rei Hino uses to transform into Sailor Mars in the manga, 90s anime, crystal, and Sera Myu.
Mars Crystal Power, Make Up This is Rei's third and final transformation phrase she uses to turn into Super Sailor Mars. This transformation sequence is very similar to Sailor Mars' two previous ones with very few differences, the main one being that a bow and arrow appeared behind her at the end of the transformation as opposed to her planetary symbol.
"Akuryo Taisan" is a purifying power Rei can use with her Ofuda as a priestess and Sailor Guardian. It is one of her first attacks as Sailor Mars in all versions of Sailor Moon including the manga, 90s anime, crystal, live-action, and Sera Myu. "Akuryo Taisan" is a Japanese phrase used to purify and exorcise demons or any evil. It has been localized into English as "Evil Spirit, Be Gone" and "Evil Spirit, Be Exorcised" and "Evil Spirits Disperse." Rei learned the chant long before she became a Sailor Guardian and first uses it when she meets Usagi in episode 10 feeling an evil spirit. She first used it as Sailor Mars in the subsequent episode to dispel Murid's poison and keep her arm from turning to stone. Usually, it is used to immobilize an enemy, giving the Sailor Senshi time to attack, or to purify people of an evil influence.
The attack shows Sailor Mars chanting the kuji-in, interspersed with cuts showing a dark figure with a wrathful, fanged face amidst flames carrying a sword and a lariat. Unlike most attacks the Sailor Senshi learn which are not seen again once newer attacks are learned, Rei continues to use Akyryo Taisan against enemies including Daimons in Sailor Moon S.
The dark figure who flashes on the screen as Rei chants the kuji-in is likely Acala or "the immovable one." He is a figure in Buddhism who protects all living things by purifying all impediments and defilement with fire to allow one to reach enlightenment.
"Fire Soul" is a fire-based attack that is performed by Sailor Mars in the Sailor Moon anime. It was also used in some of the Sailor Moon video games and the Sera Myu musicals.
Sailor Mars would begin Fire Soul by clasping her hands together with two index fingers pointing outwards (the first "kuji" gesture). A fireball would form at the tips of her index fingers which she then shot forward, killing or wounding her enemy by engulfing him or her in flames.
Sometimes, Sailor Mars would combine Fire Soul with another Sailor Senshi's attack, such as in episodes 11 and 24, where it was combined with Sailor Moon's Moon Tiara Action; episode 21, where it was combined with both Moon Tiara Action and Shabon Spray; in episode 36, where it was combined with Sailor Jupiter's Supreme Thunder; and in episode 48, where it was combined with Sailor Venus's Crescent Beam.
Rei once said Fire Soul's name and breathed fire after Usagi put spicy sauce in her food in Sailor Moon R. However, this was not an official instance of the attack and was likely intended as a joke.
The attack was too weak to fight Koan, who overpowered it with her own Dark Fire; Rei was able to unlock her second and more powerful technique, Burning Mandala, which replaced this one.
One of the last times in the series she used it was against Ptilol and Cyprine, as a diversion.
"Fire Soul Bird" is an upgrade to Fire Soul which caused the flames to attack in the shape of a bird. The attack only appeared in the anime and video games. The DiC dub refers to this attack as the Mars Firebird Strike. To perform the attack, Sailor Mars first chanted while holding an ofuda in front of her, then threw the ofuda and yelled, "Fire Soul Bird" to release a fireball from her index fingers. The fire then engulfed the ofuda and took on the shape of a phoenix-like bird.
"Burning Mandala" is a fire-based attack that Sailor Mars uses. It appears in all versions of Sailor Moon including the manga, 90s anime, crystal, live-action series, and many Sera Myu and video games.
Sailor Mars would first create a ring of fire then the rings turned into eight smaller rings of fire, which flew towards the enemy like fire hoops. These rings are shown as being either smooth or jagged. The smooth variation shows up more often.
"Mars Flame Sniper" is a powerful fire-based attack used by Sailor Mars in the manga, anime, crystal, musicals, and video games. It is her strongest individual attack.
Sailor Mars conjures a bow of flame to fire the flaming Mars Arrow at her enemies. She gained this ability after obtaining the Mars Arrow and transforming into her Super form using the Mars Crystal and continued to use this attack after she attained her Eternal form.
"Silver Crystal Power" is a powerful attack that was used in Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon S: The Movie to destroy Princess Snow Kaguya and her Snow Dancers. In the attack, all of the Solar System Sailor Guardians (Sailor Saturn excluded) combined their powers and abilities to perform this attack. Super Sailor Moon also used the excess power of the Silver Crystal to temporarily transform Luna into a human to save Kakeru.
"Sailor Planet Power" is a energy-based group attack similar to Sailor Planet Attack, but much stronger and more powerful.
In the anime, all five of the Inner Sailor Guardians would perform it, becoming twice as powerful if Super Sailor Moon performed it at the same time. While underneath their target, the Sailor Senshi would link hands in a circle and concentrate, combining their unique planetary energies and abilities and sending a massive burst of pure positive energy straight up, in roughly the same manner as Chibiusa's incredibly strong moonbeams in the Black Moon arc of the Sailor Moon R season.
Sailor Planet Attack is a energy-based group-attack performed by the Inner Sailor Senshi in all versions of the Sailor Moon series.
The attack was similar to Sailor Planet Power, though in this attack the energy generated was directed toward a specific target. In the anime, Usagi and the four of the Inner Senshi had to perform it together.

The bottom of the shoulder pads now has a short, translucent sleeve. Her left ear now has three blue studs. The back bow was enlarged and lengthened.
Personality: Before becoming friends with Usagi and the other Sailor Senshi, Ami was a shy girl who did not make friends easily. She preferred to spend time alone studying and reading books. In return, many of her classmates believed her to be snobby and arrogant because of her intelligence; even being superhuman as she always finished at the top of national exams. However, once Ami and Usagi became friends, the opinions began to change.
Ami is depicted to be a sweet, timid, kind, gentle, supportive, and loyal girl who is slightly insecure. In the beginning, she relies on the opinions of her mother, classmates, and teachers. As the series progresses, she becomes stronger and more confident. Ami becomes Sailor Senshi's strategist especially when it's during their mission and she is able to analyse the enemies by the next move. She is the most sensible out of the Inner Sailor Guardians and she dislikes conflict; especially the fights between Usagi and Rei.
Ami's parents are divorced; living with her mother in a condominium. Her mother is always working, leaving Ami to care for herself. She also dreams of becoming a doctor like her mother.
Her favorite subjects were math and science. She also has a secret love of romance novels and pop culture but is embarrassed to say it.
Information Background Ami's parents are divorced; living with her mother in a condominium. Her mother is always working, leaving Ami to care for herself. She also dreams of becoming a doctor like her mother.
Abilities: Shabon Spray" (Bubble Spray in Viz Media's English dub) is a bubble/fog-based attack used by Sailor Mercury. It was primarily a defensive attack, involving the formation of fog, which reduced overall visibility in the area. It also lowered the temperature of the area by a few degrees.
Shabon Spray Freezing" is an upgraded version of Sailor Mercury's Shabon Spray which appears in the 90's anime and some videogames. It creates a fog like Shabon Spray except it is freezing cold and encases anything inside within ice.
"Double Shabon Spray Freezing" (also known as Double Sabão Spray Freezing or Double Bubble Spray Freezing) is an attack performed by Sailor Mercury in the 90's anime series.
It is a more powerful version of Shabon Spray Freezing. In the episode in which it appeared, Sailor Mercury used it against Giwaku.
"Shine Aqua Illusion" is a water-based attack that Sailor Mercury uses in the manga, 90s anime, crystal, live-action series, along with many Sera Myu and video games. Unlike the manga, this attack was used many times throughout the second and third seasons. It first appeared in Episode 62, when Sailor Mercury used it against Nipas. She also uses it in the R Movie against a crowd of Dahlian and in the SuperS Movie against a Blue Bonbon Baby.
The attack sequence started with a drop of water falling and creating a ripple. Droplets then surrounded Sailor Mercury as she spun around several times. The droplets coalesced into a stream of water and she then threw it at the enemy, who would be surrounded in a tower or column of liquid water.
Sometimes, the enemy is also frozen in solid ice. This version of Shine Aqua Illusion, having both water and ice properties, is similar to Shine Snow Illusion which is an upgrade to this attack which does not appear in the 90s anime.
"Mercury Aqua Mirage" is a water-based attack used by Sailor Mercury that engulfs her opponent in a circular pool of water that will burst and destroy the enemy.
"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody" is a powerful water-based attack Sailor Mercury uses with her Mercury Harp. It appears in the manga, 90s anime, crystal, Sera Myu, and video games. It is her strongest individual attack. To do the attack, Super Sailor Mercury holds out her hand, on which the symbol of her planet appears, and shouts "Mercury." In the background you can see a harp, then from the symbol of Mercury a stream of water is formed, and from it a harp is formed. She pulls the strings of the harp while saying "Aqua Rhapsody." A stream of water emerges and funnels toward her target.
"Shine Snow Illusion" is a snow-based smokescreen attack used by Sailor Mercury. It was used only once, against Berthier in Act 16 in the manga and Crystal. With this attack, Sailor Mercury created a powerful and freezing storm which she blasted at her enemy.
"Sailor Planet Attack" is a energy-based group-attack performed by the Inner Sailor Senshi in all versions of the Sailor Moon series. A powerful energy-based attack used which incorporates a number of Sailor Senshi to use. Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter perform it together twice. The attack was first used by the Inner Senshi to kill Kunzite. They try it again against Queen Metalia but it is ineffective.
In the Dream arc, both the Inner and Outer Senshi (without Sailor Saturn) use a stronger version of the attack against Zirconia: Sailor Planet Power Meditation.
"Sailor Planet Power" is a energy-based group attack similar to Sailor Planet Attack, but much stronger and more powerful. Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto performed this attack. Although the attack was performed similarly in the manga, it was called Sailor Planet Power Meditation! (セーラー・プラネット・パワー・メディテイション, Seeraa Puranetto Pawaa Mediteishon) when it was first used by Solar System Sailor Guardians to attack Zirconia. The Sailor Guardians have to shout “Sailor Planet Power...” first, then say the name of their planet, then say “...Meditation!” to execute the attack. This attack was also featured in the Sera Myu Musical, Armour Eternal however when the Sailor Guardians used that attack they said the full name of the attack without having to say the name of their planet.
"Sailor Special Garlic Attack" is a group-attack used by the Inner Sailor Guardians in a SuperS Special. It is a 90's anime exclusive attack which is only used once where Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter breath their garlic filled breaths onto the enemy after surrounding them. It's highly effective against vampires. They were able to execute this attack thanks to having Korean barbeque earlier.
Like its manga counterpart, there isn't anything magical about this attack: it relied on garlic filled food they ate earlier, though they did need to move quickly to surround the vampire.
Items Ami uses: The "Transformation Pen(s)" were the 1st magical transformation items that the four Inner Sailor Guardians had used in both the manga, the 1st season of the anime, and the first thirteen episodes of Sailor Moon Crystal. It allows each one to transform into her regular, standard Sailor form. In the 1st season, Luna was the one who had given Ami, Rei, and Makoto their mystical transformation pens, while Artemis had given Minako hers (though never shown on screen).
All the Pens had each Sailor Soldiers' planetary symbol engraved on the cap as well her signature color: Dark blue for Sailor Mercury, dark red for Sailor Mars, dark green for Sailor Jupiter, and bright orange for Sailor Venus.
During their transformation, the symbol on their respective pen would fly off, activating their transformations.
The "Star Power Sticks" were the 2nd magical transformation items the Inner Sailor Guardians used. They were given to them by Luna along with new communicators. These were used in the Sailor Moon R and Sailor Moon S seasons of the anime, replacing the pens. In the fourth season of the anime, they were replaced by the Crystal Change Rods that were granted to each Sailor Guardians by the great powers of Pegasus himself. They are used in the R movie to fight against the evil Xenian Blossom and her extraterrestrial servant and minion Fiore, as well as in the the S movie to fight Princess Snow Kaguya and her snow dancers. While the Star Power Sticks themselves all appeared in one episode, the girls would not power up and use their new transformations for several more episodes. In the manga, the Inner Sailor Guardians were given the Star Power Sticks after they destroyed their own Transformation Pens to help Sailor Moon defeat Metalia. After the Sailor Guardians received power upgrades from Neo Queen Serenity, they no longer used the sticks to transform. In Sailor Moon Crystal: Season 3, the girls use the Star Power Sticks to transform, but in the manga, they didn't use anything as they called upon planet power to transform them.
The "Crystal Change Rod" is the name for the 3rd, magical transformation devices granted to the 4 Inner Sailor Senshi by Pegasus. These mystical rods allowed them to transform into their Super Sailor form; granting them new attacks. These devices only appeared in the 90s anime, during its 4th and 5th seasons, as well as the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie.
The "Super Computer" is a miniature supercomputer that Sailor Mercury owned which could be used to scan surroundings and analyze data, proving very useful in battle. It was given to her by Luna. It was eventually destroyed in the first season finale and has not reappeared since. Sailor Mercury's Supercomputer appears first in Act 3. It gives Sailor Mercury the ability to analyze and solve very complex and scientific problems with ease and can find weak points in enemies.
Anime As the smartest and most intelligent of the Sailor Team, the Supercomputer was given to Sailor Mercury by Luna in episode 9. It can be used to analyze enemies and other objects upon which data is needed, enabling her to find weak points in her enemies.
Sometimes, she uses it in combination with her Mercury Visor.
Its last use was when she used it against the DD Girls, analyzing their trap and indicating the source of their illusions. In order to stop their illusions, she used the Super Computer as a weapon, hitting it against the lead Girl's forehead jewel; doing so shattered the jewel, but also likely destroyed the computer. It was later seen in the S and Sailor Stars seasons.
The "Mercury Visor" or "Mercury Goggles" is a transparent blue visor which Sailor Mercury occasionally wears in the manga, 90's anime, crystal, and musicals. It is a see-through head-mounted display which covers her eyes and shows useful information to Sailor Mercury. It can be used alongside her Super Computer. It provides useful information about her surroundings and enemies in the midst of battle and when she feels she needs to analyze the situation. She can produce it by touching her earring. She uses it as part of Hyperspatial Sphere Generate.
In the manga and crystal, it comes with a microphone. Unlike the anime and crystal where it is a visor, it is worn like a pair of safety glasses in the manga.
The "Communicators" were special devices used by the Sailor Guardians to keep in touch with each other. There were three different versions in the manga, anime and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. In the anime, the Sailor Senshi used two versions of the communicators in the series. The first was a small, flat, computer-like object used in the first season to communicate with each other. Luna created these and gave them to Sailor Moon, Mercury, and Mars in episode 17 (and later, Sailor Jupiter offscreen). It is unknown if Minako had one, or if one of her Sailor V devices could communicate with them.
In episode 62 of the R season, the Sailor Senshi received new communicators along with their Star Power Sticks. These new communicators resembled wristwatches, and the face resembled Sailor Moon's Crystal Star. In the S season, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune also had similar communicators just to communicate with each other. Haruka's communicator is a series of golden discs and the watch itself is a blue and gold clamshell, emblazoned with the symbol of Uranus. Michiru's communicator is identical to Haruka's, but has a dark turquoise motif rather than a blue one and has the symbol of Neptune on it.
- #2Usagi Tsukinoconstant
Keys: Usagi, Tsukino · Secondary: Sailor Moon
Birthday June 30th (♋) Age 18 Gender Female Species Human Blood Type O Likes Eating cake, video games, comics/manga, sleeping, the color white, ice cream, home economics class Dislikes Math, English class, dentists, ghosts, carrots
Appearance: Usagi has blue eyes and long blonde hair that she wears in odango. She has porcelain skin and a slim figure. She is the shortest of the original five Senshi.
The outfit that Usagi usually wears is a standard Juban Public Middle School sailor uniform. The uniform has a blue sailor collar with three white stripes. She has a reddish pink ribbon on the front of her uniform, which she ties her magical brooch to. She has a white blouse with a breast pocket and blue sleeve-cuffs that have three white stripes, just like the collar. In the summer, she wears a white, short-sleeved blouse with puffed sleeves. She also wears a blue-pleated skirt with a matching ribbon on the back. She usually wears white socks and black cross-strap Mary Jane shoes.
In Act 38, she now wears a standard Juban High School uniform (due to her now being in high school) as her sailor collar, front ribbon, sleeve-cuffs and pleated skirt (which is a bit shorter now) are dark blue and the two stripes are red while the back ribbon is absent.
Sailor Moon Sailor Moon’s standard uniform consists of a white chest-armored leotard with a blue sailor collar that has three white stripes on it, white gloves with three red arm fittings that reach just below her elbows, yellow three-looped shoulder pads, a wavy blue skirt with a puffy white belt sat above it, along with a reddish pink bow on the chest and at the back. She also sports a pair of reddish pink short heeled knee-high boots with a white border at the triangular top that has gold crescent moons, earrings consisting of grey studs with gold stars and crescent moons beneath, white-bordered red circular hairpieces (one on each odango), two white-winged hair clips in her hair, and a white choker with a gold crescent moon on it and a pendant that is similar to her transformation brooch attached to it. Her brooch is worn in the middle of her chest bow, and she wore a mask that disappeared after Act 16. When she gains Moon Cosmic Power, Make Up, her choker becomes reddish pink with a gold heart at the center. Her tiara underwent a few changes; at first, it was a gold tiara with a reddish pink oval-shaped gem at its center. It later burned up after she threw it at Jadeite in Act 3. A new one appeared in Act 4 which looked like the old one, but the gem in the center was larger, and the tiara itself had a more intricate design. After she met Sailor Venus in Act 8, her tiara changed into the shape of a crescent moon and a hexagon with a reddish pink gem in the center, and after awakening as Princess Serenity in Act 9, the tiara shattered and was replaced with the mark of a singular golden crescent moon; the tiara eventually reverted to its original form with the commencement of the Black Moon arc.
Super Sailor Moon As Super Sailor Moon, her uniform underwent many changes; her earrings are now singular crescent moons affixed to her ears, her choker is a yellow ribbon with a pink heart in the center, the stripes on her collar change from white to golden, and her shoulder pads are light pink, translucent, and more wing-like in shape. Her back bow becomes light pink, long, translucent, and billowy. Her collar is blue in the front and yellow in the back, the colors blending into each other over her shoulders. Her skirt is now white with a blue and yellow gradient border at the bottom; the colors blend into each other similar to how they do on her collar. The gem on her tiara is replaced with a gold crescent moon, a puffy golden belt sits above her usual white belt, and an identical Cosmic Heart Compact is attached to the center of her belt.
Eternal Sailor Moon When Usagi became Eternal Sailor Moon, her uniform underwent the most radical changes; she no longer wears a tiara and instead has a golden crescent moon mark on her forehead, her leotard no longer has chest armor, her earrings have a gold star attached beneath each crescent moon, and her choker is red and v-shaped with a pink heart at the center and a golden crescent moon beneath it. The collar itself is like her original one, but it is a darker shade of blue with three golden stripes. In the place of her shoulder pads are pink bubble-like sleeves with two reddish pink fittings at the ends; they have somewhat of a translucent aspect to them. In the area where her chest bow was located is a pair of white angel wings with a pink heart that has a golden crescent moon attached to it sitting at its center. Her gloves now have reddish pink, v-shaped wristbands with gold crescent moons on them, the fittings at the ends of the gloves have white-winged decorations attached to them similar to the hair clips in her hair, and the gloves themselves are now extended to reach up to her upper arms. Her belt is now comprised of two ribbons (the one on top is yellow and the one beneath it is reddish pink) clipped together by a gold crescent moon; the bottom ribbon extends past her skirt, mimicking the flowing effect that her previous back bow had. Her back bow is replaced with a set of large white angel wings, her skirt is now composed of three layers (the top layer is yellow, the middle layer is reddish pink, the bottom layer is blue), and her boots are now white and knee-length with a slightly larger heel and reddish pink v-shaped borders that have gold crescent moons on them.
Princess Serenity Usagi occasionally takes the form of her past-life: Princess Serenity. In this form, Usagi wore a white flowing gown with white shoulder pieces disconnected from her dress, an intricately decorated bodice with golden hoops, with the bust defined by a row of golden beads. Trailing at the back, was a white gauzy bow with long fluttery ribbons. Under the dress she wore white stiletto high-heeled shoes. She also wore gold spiral earrings and six round hairpins which all feature pearls, three on each side, similar to her Sailor forms. Unlike her past self, her hair is blonde instead of silver.
Neo-Queen Serenity At the end of the Infinity and Dream arcs, Usagi takes a form resembling her future self: Neo-Queen Serenity. Compared to her Princess form, the bow at her back is much larger. Her dress is longer and the ribbons from it are longer as well. She carries her Spiral Heart Moon Rod in the Infinity arc, and her Eternal Tiare in the Dream arc. Unlike her future self, her hair is still blonde and she does not wear a crown; though, some artwork depicts this form with a crown.

She also displays an unwavering hope and sees good in her enemies that others may not. Usagi has a pure heart and is always there for everyone. She can be jealous at times, especially over Mamoru, but overall is a kind, strong, courageous girl. She stands up for what is right and believes everyone deserves love.

Appearance:

When she was in junior high, she wore a sailor-style school uniform like the other Sailor Guardians did in their civilian forms, but with a few differences. Also, the uniform was the most classic or orthodox among those of the Sailor Team.
Sailor V This was the first Senshi form that Minako had ever had which first appeared in Codename: Sailor V. She wore a top revealing her belly button sometimes, shoulder protector (revealing the sleeves of her shirt), a blue skirt with red at the bottom, an orange broach, red bows, a white choker with a golden crescent moon on it, blue heels, a red mask, and a crescent moon on her forehead.
Sailor Venus Sailor Venus' dominant color was orange (choker, collar, center of front bow, elbow fittings of gloves, skirt, shoes, and earrings) and her accent colors were blue (front bow) and yellow (back bow). Her tiara gem was usually orange, but sometimes appeared more yellow. This lack of commitment extends to most of her life. She is an academic underachiever, like Usagi, despite the cleverness she displays in battle and puts little effort into her studies and requires Artemis' nagging to remain Sailor V as she quickly loses interest in being a "Guardian of Justice" for Justice's sake. Everything in her life is secondary to the one thing she is committed to: protecting her Princess. This is true even before regaining her memories and she becomes focused on locating her fellow Sailor Senshi when she remembers. She begins to open up to them once the Dark Kingdom is defeated. Minako continues to challenge herself to prove she is worthy of being the leader of the Inner Sailor Guardians as she neglects her other responsibilities and devotes herself to temporary distractions.

Appearance Civilian Michiru is an extremely beautiful and delicate-looking girl of slim stature and average height, with deep blue eyes and wavy teal hair that falls just past her shoulders. The epitome of elegance and femininity, she has an excellent sense of fashion, is always dressed smartly, and applying makeup or perfectly made up already. Usagi and Minako were both utterly dazzled by her beauty when they first saw her, and Usagi has gone as far as saying that Michiru is exactly what a fairy tale princess would be like.
Sailor Neptune Sailor Neptune's uniform consisted of a white leotard with a sea-green skirt, a navy-blue front bow, and a navy-blue back bow. The collar on her leotard was sea green and it did not have any stripes on it, and her shoulder pads had three layers. Her gloves were white with sea-green wrist fittings. Her shoes were lace-up loose sea-green boots. Her accessories were a gold tiara with a sea-green gem in the middle, her earrings were white studs and had some kind of planetary object surrounded by a ring dangling from them, and a sea-green choker with a sea-green gem with golden accents attached to it.
Super Sailor Neptune Near the end of the Infinity arc and throughout the Dream arc Sailor Neptune's uniform was slightly altered. The sea-green gem no longer had gold accents to it but instead it was embedded in a yellow star. Her sailor collar now featured one white stripe. Her shoulder pads were nearly identical to the one in her form before but this time the last pad was more wing-like and translucent. her brooch was now heart shaped, and her back bow ribbons were now longer.

Her earrings are now sea-green studs with sea-green stars dangling from them. Her choker is now v-shaped with a yellow star in the center. Her sailor collar has a single gold stripe on it. A yellow star is connecting both belts in the center. Her skirt is in two layers with top being sea-green and the bottom being a lighter sea-green. Her boots are now knee-length with sea-green colored v-shaped borders with a yellow star in the center.
Princess Neptune During the Silver Millennium, Sailor Neptune was also the Sailor Princess of her home planet and was among those given the duty of protecting the solar system from outside invasion. As Princess Neptune, she wore a sea-green gown with the symbol of Neptune on her forehead. She dwelt in Triton Castle.
Personality Elegant, sophisticated, though sometimes cold and capable of sharp anger, she has been described by Sailor Moon as 'the ideal princess'.
She is patient and caring, almost always offering a smile or laughter to a situation. While polite and calm to a fault, she is not the most social person, but when she does become close with someone it is because she truly wants to. She dislikes being patronized and will not indulge others.
This can make her look like a snob, and her seeming perfection at everything does not help this perception of her. She is a genuinely intelligent young woman, a prodigal violinist, and an artist, already famous for her endeavors. Her intelligence is also apparent through her acceptance to Mugen Academy, a school with a very high acceptance threshold; only geniuses of some field are permitted enrolment.
Information Background Michiru is a violinist of renown in the world of Sailor Moon. She is a first year high school student attending Mugen Academy alongside Haruka Tenou, whom she is dating. She is incredibly wealthy and owns a helicopter she calls the Kaio Maru. Like Haruka, it is unclear when she awoke as a Sailor Guardian but the two of them are already monitoring the Death Busters and Hotaru Tomoe acting undercover as students before the start of the Infinity arc. Haruka only transferred to the school recently but Michiru was already attending.

Her earrings are the most unique of all Sailor Guardians: white pearls adorned with a ring to look like her guardian planet, with white dagger pendants hanging from them.

She and Sailor Saturn are initially entirely different entities with their own personalities. Saturn is cold and analytical and will do what needs to be done.
When she is reborn, she is a cheerful and highly gifted child. She loves reading and can memorize entire books. She sometimes switches to a colder personality which is more reminiscent of Saturn. When she reawakens to her powers, she regains the memories of all of her past lives and in this new person, Hotaru and Sailor Saturn are one and the same. She is protective of her friendship with Chibiusa. She is deeply intellectual and lacks street smarts as she is completely befuddled by Ruruna Kobe and Naruru Osaka. She loves her new family and dies trying to protect Setsuna.
Information Background Hotaru was raised by Souichi and Keiko Tomoe. Years ago, an accident occurred in one of her father's labs which killed her mother and badly wounded Hotaru. To save her life, her father replaced parts of her limbs with machinery making her a cyborg. During the medical procedure, he connected with Pharaoh 90, who implanted her with a Daimon: Mistress 9. Unlike the Witches 5 and other Daimons, Mistress 9 did not awaken and remained suppressed within Hotaru. She had been Pharaoh 90's partner in the Tau Star System. Over the following few years, her father, fused with a Daimon himself, worked to establish Mugen Academy, create other human-daimon hybrids, and to prepare the expansion of the Death Busters' invasion of Earth. She lived with her father feeling pain from the monster within and underwent regular checkups on her mechanical parts. She saw Kaolinite as trying to replace her mother and resented her.

One day when she was a child, Queen Serenity assigned her to the Door of Space and Time to guard it and instructed on the three taboos she must never break: She must never leave her post, she must not allow anyone to travel through time, and she must never use her powers to disrupt the flow of time in any way. Breaking the last taboo would mean the end of her life. However, after the Silver Millennium was attacked by the Dark Kingdom, she and the other two Outer Sailor Guardians were drawn together and her Garnet Orb along with Sailor Uranus' Space Sword, and Sailor Neptune's Deep Aqua Mirror, had resonated that caused Sailor Saturn to awaken. It was then that she watched in horror as Sailor Saturn swung down her Silence Glaive and obliterated all that was left of the Moon Kingdom. Sailor Pluto was reborn and continued her mission to protect the Door of Space and Time. One day during the era of the second Silver Millennium, Sailor Pluto met Princess Usagi Small Lady Serenity after she had wandered down a forbidden corridor of the Crystal Palace and went through the Door of Space-Time. Birthday June 30 (♋) Age 18 Gender Female Species Human Blood Type O Likes The colors red and pink, pudding, pancakes, rabbits, drawing, gardening Dislikes Carrots, language classes, housesitting, thunder and lightning, ghosts, vampires, dentists, needles
Appearance Civilian Chibiusa has pink hair and red eyes. Like Usagi, she wears her hair in odango, though instead of the buns being round, they are elongated and styled to look like a rabbit's ears. She often wears a sailor-fuku but it is not a required uniform at her school. She is older than she looks and is over 900 years old.[3] Despite that, she appears the youngest (only beat by baby Hotaru) and is the shortest Senshi. Chibiusa strongly resembles a young Usagi. At the beginning of the series, she is quite short standing at approximately Usagi's waist, but starts growing once she becomes a Senshi herself and by the end she has grown enough to be at approximately Usagi's breast.
Sailor Chibi Moon Sailor Chibi Moon looks a lot like Sailor Moon; she has her transformation broach attached to her red front bows. Like all the others, she has a chest armored leotard. She has a pink collar and skirt with a puffy belt on top. She has a bow that is slightly larger. She has pink boots like Sailor Moon's but without the crescent moons. She has hair pieces that go over her odangos. Unlike Sailor Moon's, hers are shaped like rabbit ears and are smaller. Her earrings are crescent moons. Her tiara is gold with a red gem. She also has wing clips.
Super Sailor Chibi Moon As Super Sailor Chibi Moon, her Uniform almost completely changes. Her collar's two white lines become yellow. Her choker is now yellow, with a pink heart. The skirt is the seemingly most changed, becoming white with the border being yellow and pink, plus her belt on her skirt is now yellow. She gets the same translucent shoulder pads as Super Sailor Moon, with a bright yellow crescent moon on her tiara. She also keeps her feathers on her head, and has crescent moon earrings. Her bow is long and white.
Eternal Sailor Chibi Moon Her Eternal uniform consisted of a white leotard with a red chest bow and a yellow star-shaped brooch affixed to it. Her sailor collar was pink with a single white stripe. There were pearly feather clips in her hair, she wore red odango covers on her cone-shaped odangos, a pink choker with a star motif, and wore star stud earrings. Her tiara was gold with a pink star. She had pale pink bubble-like sleeves with a double row of pink trim and white elbow length gloves with pink elbow pads. Her skirt had two layers: the first layer was pink and the second layer was pale pink. The waist was defined by a double row of pink and pale pink ribbons with a yellow star brooch affixed to them. There was pink bow at the back with two trailing pink ribbons. Her footwear consisted of white knee-high boots with pink inverted triangular arches with yellow stars at the bases.
Small Lady In her princess form, she has her same hair and a pink dress with triangles at the top. The dress has ruffles and has a ray of pearls. Her sleeves are ruffly as well. Like her mother, the crescent moon is on her forehead.
Princess Lady Serenity In her future form, Chibiusa's physical appearance had matured into adolescence and her hair had grown out to resemble her mother's while retaining her cone shaped odango. She wears a longer version of her younger self's princess dress. In artbook IV she appeared to have silver hair; though, in Artbook V she appeared with pink hair. It is pink in Sailor Moon Eternal.
Information Background Chibiusa was born as "Usagi Small Lady Serenity", the only child of King Endymion and Neo-Queen Serenity and the Princess of the Silver Millennium. However, Chibiusa had stagnated in growth, being physically and mentally a child for over 900 years, something that is unusual for even the long-lived people of the Moon Kingdom. She also never showed any sign of developing powers that worried her parents who feared that she might not be able to carry the mantle of Sailor Moon.
Her lack of growth and magical abilities had led the people to believe that she is a fake princess who wasn't really the king and queen's daughter. Her father tried to make her feel better by telling her how much in common she has with her mother and by telling her how invincible Sailor Moon was. Unfortunately, this only made her feel as though she didn't matter to her mother and would never be able to compare it to her.
One day, Chibiusa wandered down a forbidden corridor and came across a strange door. After going through it, she met the Guardian of Time, Sailor Pluto. Even though Neo-Queen Serenity would chide Chibiusa for visiting her, she and Pluto would become good friends.
After being pressured by a group of children, Chibiusa would steal her mother's Silver Crystal. Unfortunately, the Black Moon Clan struck then, causing a huge shockwave to erupt. When she left the Crystal Palace to see what was happening, she saw her mother frozen in crystal and was consumed with guilt for taking the only thing that could have protected her.
The Black Moon Clan's attack killed many people and rendered the Inner Sailor Guardians, Luna and Artemis, and King Endymion in comatose states. The Moon Kingdom was an ancient civilization that existed on the moon since prehistoric times. It boasted prosperity and everlasting peace. With Queen Serenity as its monarch, it was the pique of Silver Millennium and held the all-powerful Legendary Silver Crystal.
Silver Millennium was ruled by Queen Serenity, the incarnation of the Moon Goddess Selene, who had a single daughter named Princess Serenity. Princess Serenity was heir to the throne of Silver Millennium, which had a sacred duty to watch over the Earth, as well as protect the family heirloom, the Legendary Silver Crystal. The Four Guardian Deities of the inner solar system (Sailor Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus) were entrusted to be Serenity's personal bodyguard and court, attending and watching over her at all times, as well as serving as a basic defense system for Silver Millennium as a whole.
Princess Serenity fell in love with the Earth, and longed to feel the wind and trees. Eventually, Princess Serenity fell in love with Prince Endymion, the ruler of the Earth Kingdom. At one point, Princess Serenity gave Prince Endymion a mystical star-shaped locket, which played an instrumental version of Moonlight Legend. It was implied that this locket was imbued with the power of Serenity and Endymion's love, and Mamoru Chiba held the locket in the modern day. After dropping it during a battle, Usagi Tsukino picked it up and kept it with her for the majority of the season.
Although Moon Kingdom people were forbidden to meet with those of Earth, Serenity met Endymion in secret at a ball. Unfortunately, the people of Earth were brainwashed by an evil entity, who convinced members of the Earth Kingdom to launch an assault against the Moon Kingdom. Queen Beryl led the assault against the Moon Kingdom, and she created a organization dedicated to destroying the Moon Kingdom's legacy, with Metalia as it's leader. This organization was known as the Dark Kingdom, and consisted of the Four Kings of Heaven, herself, and Queen Metalia. Despite Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus' attempts to defeat Queen Metalia, the Moon Kingdom fell during the assault.
Queen Metalia eventually found the opportunity to launch a direct strike against Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion, killing them both and causing great agony and trauma for Queen Serenity. Left with no other option, Queen Serenity used Moon Healing Escalation with the Legendary Silver Crystal's power attached to it to seal away the Dark Kingdom. Unfortunately, the process of doing so drained her life force. Using the last of her remaining life, Queen Serenity reincarnated Princess Serenity, Prince Endymion, and the Inner Guardians on Earth, to be reborn in a more peaceful era.
Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion eventually awakened as Usagi Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba, respectively, due to the recently revived Dark Kingdom. However, Mamoru was brainwashed into becoming a soldier of the Dark Kingdom, using his past alias, Endymion. After a prolonged battle against Endymion, Usagi was able to restore Mamoru to his old self. to restore Mamoru to his original self. Usagi then transformed into Princess Serenity and fought Super Beryl
In 1992, in Tokyo, the Dark Kingdom began hunting for the Legendary Silver Crystal, led by Queen Beryl, in order to revive Queen Metalia from her seal placed by Queen Serenity. While Jadeite and Nephrite were only able to gather relatively small amounts of energy, their efforts were enough to partially stir Queen Metalia. She told Beryl that to find the Silver Crystal, they must locate the Rainbow Crystals. Zoisite almost succeeded in gathering all seven, however, Mamoru Chiba was injured during an attempted assault on Sailor Moon, causing her to awaken as Princess Serenity, witnessed by all of the Inner Guardians and Zoisite. Later on, Usagi's memories of being Princess Serenity return, and she remembers Endymion's sacrifice to save her.

Keys: Dark kingdom, Kingdom of the dark · Secondary:
The "Dark Kingdom" is an evil organization that seeks to spread darkness across the Earth. It was established during Silver Millennium and despite being sealed away, re-awakened in the modern day.
The Dark Kingdom were the main antagonists of the first season/story arc of the Sailor Moon anime. It is full of (mostly female) monsters that work for Beryl and the Shitennou: Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite. They are located at the D-Point in the arctic.
Prior to the anime During the end of the Silver Millennium, the Dark Kingdom, led by Queen Beryl, unleashed an attack on the Moon Kingdom, using an army of brainwashed humans, including the Shitennou. They laid waste to the Moon Kingdom as well as killing much of its people, including Princess Serenity. All hope seemed lost until Queen Serenity, at the cost of her own life, used her powers to seal away the Dark Kingdom and send her people to Earth to be reincarnated in the present day.
1st Story Arc In the present day, the Dark Kingdom's main goals are to unleash its full power, awaken Queen Metalia, and take over the universe. Towards that aim, Beryl seeks to gather human energy and later seeks the Silver Crystal, with the intent to fuel the Dark Kingdom's power. Beryl first appoints Shitennou Jadeite to gather human energy, but he is defeated constantly by the Sailor Guardians; in episode 13, Beryl, tired of his constant failures, seals him in Eternal Sleep, appointing Nephrite in his stead.
Though Nephrite takes a different approach to gather energy, the Sailor Guardians block him at every turn. During his missions, he often interacts with Naru Osaka, eventually developing romantic feelings for her. Upon discovering this, Zoisite, considering his relationship with a human a betrayal of the Dark Kingdom, kills him.
Zoisite and Kunzite take the reins; by this time, the Dark Kingdom's focus has shifted to finding the seven Rainbow Crystals - shards of the Silver Crystal used to seal away the Dark Kingdom's most powerful monsters, the Seven Great Youma, who has been reborn on Earth as humans (or in one case, a cat.) While each monster is reawakened, Sailor Moon is able to restore their true forms; eventually, all the fragments are found and united into the Silver Crystal, restoring to Mamoru and the Sailor Guardians their memories of their past lives in the Silver Millennium and giving Sailor Moon ultimate power.
After Queen Beryl kills Zoisite for disobeying her orders, the Dark Kingdom captures and brainwashes Mamoru, who begins working alongside Kunzite. Eventually, by putting their powers together, the Senshi are able to destroy Kunzite as well. In episodes 45 and 46, the Sailor Guardians make their way to the Dark Kingdom to fight Queen Beryl; all except Sailor Moon are killed by the DD Girls. Beryl then teleports Sailor Moon to the Dark Kingdom to fight Prince Endymion, who is completely under her control. However, Sailor Moon manages to break the spell on him and he injures Beryl. When Beryl begs Metalia for more power, Metalia instead merges with her, creating Super Beryl. Sailor Moon, upon becoming Princess Serenity, and with the spirits of the other Sailor Guardians supporting her, destroys Super Beryl, as well as the Dark Kingdom, using Moon Prism Power; the Sailor Guardians are resurrected, but neither they nor Mamoru remember their true roles until the cats reawaken them in Sailor Moon R.
Members of the Dark Kingdom Queen Metalia She is the supreme ruler of the Dark Kingdom. Queen Beryl Beryl is Metalia's second in command. Shitennou They are the four loyal and devoted generals to the Dark Kingdoms, consisting of Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite. Brainwashed Endymion After being brainwashed by the Dark Kingdom, Endymion served Beryl, fighting alongside the other Shitennou, until Sailor Moon freed him from their control. Youma They were monsters of the Dark Kingdom, who carried the missions of the Shitennou. This includes the Seven Great Youma and the DD Girls.
- #15Earth kingdomconstant
Keys: Earth kingdom, kingdom of earth
The Earth Kingdom is a kingdom on Earth that was ruled by Prince Endymion during the Silver Millennium. It was mentioned by Queen Serenity that the Moon Kingdom watched over the Earth people and helped aid their evolution. This appears to imply that the moon people had a good relationship with the inhabitants of Earth before Beryl and Metalia's intervention.
It's known inhabitants were Prince Endymion and Beryl, who was a human before she became the Dark Kingdom's ruler. Its people were convinced by an evil entity to attack the Moon Kingdom. Elysion also dwells here, with Helios protecting the Golden Crystal. At some point in this juncture, Queen Beryl rallied the Earth people to invade the Moon Kingdom, preying on their envy of the moon people's immortality. She was able to rise as their commander in a war which successfully destroyed the Moon Kingdom and, with Metalia's aid, kill Princess Serenity, Prince Endymion, and the Sailor Senshi. Beryl at this point gleefully announced the birth of her own Dark Kingdom. The citizens of the Earth Kingdom were not seen again after this; however, it is possible that the citizens of the Earth Kingdom became those of the Dark Kingdom (like the Shitennou, who were brainwashed into serving Beryl's command.)
It is likely that after Queen Serenity sealed away the Dark Kingdom, the inhabitants of Earth involved in the war were presumably killed in action and reincarnated on Earth; however, there is no evidence that this is the case, as they stop appearing in the episode after Queen Serenity seals away the Dark Kingdom.
The Earth Kingdom's only main appearance was in episode 44.

Keys: Mamoru Chiba, Tuxedo Mask
Alignment Silver Millennium Birthday August 3 (♌)[2] Age 20 Gender Male Species Human Blood Type A Likes Track-and-field, reading, ventriloquism Dislikes Usagi in danger, bell peppers, needles
Appearance Civilian He has short black hair and blue eyes. He usually wears a black turtleneck tucked in his indigo pants pulled up to his waist by a bright light brown belt with a silver buckle, along with a green jacket, white socks, and dark brown and white shoes.
Tuxedo Mask As Tuxedo Mask, Mamoru wears a formal black tuxedo suit alongside golden buttons and a black cape with a red interior. He also wears a white mask, a formal black top hat, and white gloves. He also wields a black cane and the red rose that he throws on his enemies. Every time when he shields Sailor Moon from an enemy's attack, both his hat and his mask were knocked off to show his true identity.
Mamoru carries the red rose when he transforms into Tuxedo Mask as explained below and upon meeting with the Outer Senshi in Sailor Moon S, he quickly transforms into this form while being covered in dead leaves being floated in strong winds.
Personality Mamoru is very protective of those he cares about, risking his life to save them. He has likely suffered from loneliness and depression his entire life, and has trauma from the death of his parents resulting in memory loss (until midway through the first season). Because of this, he seemed to be very cold-natured initially and lacked many friends. He can also be blunt, which has led to him sometimes upsetting those around him due to his harsh words.
However, Mamoru also has a good nature and while his words may seem critical, there is good intent behind them: his ultimate purpose (similar to Rei) is typically to inspire the person to better themselves.
Mamoru also cares for Usagi greatly, as well as the other Sailor Senshi. Multiple times, Mamoru has shown that he is willing to sacrifice his own life to protect Usagi purely out of love for her; this can be especially seen in True Love Awakens: The Makai Tree’s Secret, where Mamoru shields Usagi from blasts of energy, despite not even having his memories for her back at the time.
Mamoru also shows a rather serious side especially early in the series; then, he was determined to obtain the Silver Crystal at all costs, and did not mind taking Sailor Moon's Rainbow Crystal or taking any advantage he could. At this point in his life however, he was likely acting moreso out of desperation to remember his past than with malice.
Information Background Mamoru was an only child and had lived with his parents until the day of his sixth birthday when all three of them had were in a car accident. His parents died leaving Mamoru as the sole survivor. The incident gave Mamoru retrograde amnesia, leaving him unable to remember anything about his life prior to the car accident including his own name. He did, however, constantly have dreams about a mysterious girl begging him to find something called the "Silver Crystal". Believing this Silver Crystal would help him restore his memories, Mamoru would adopt the persona "Tuxedo Mask" and seek out the crystal for himself.
Sailor Moon Mamoru first appeared in episode one of the series. After meeting Usagi for the first time, he started calling her "Bunhead," a nickname he'd call her by every time they met, much to Usagi's annoyance. It was also starting from episode one that he comes to help Sailor Moon in battle as Tuxedo Mask.
Mamoru's alter-ego as Tuxedo Mask caught the love of Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon after she saw him for the first time. In fact, Tuxedo Mask was one of Usagi's two main crushes along with Motoki. Although Usagi loved Tuxedo Mask, she didn't initially like his civilian identity, mainly because Mamoru always called her by the nickname "Bunhead" that she hated. At the time, she also didn't know who Tuxedo Mask's secret identity was. During season one, Mamoru briefly went out with Rei Hino, though he did not seem as infatuated with her as she was with him.
During season one, Mamoru was also on his own mission to find out who he really was. At night, he would dream about a mysterious woman known as the Moon Princess, telling him that all will be clear when he finds the Silver Crystal; he began searching for it, but coincidently, the Dark Kingdom was also searching for the Silver Crystal. Eventually, he discovered that the Rainbow Crystals would help him find the Silver Crystal, and he began to collect them. However, he preferred to keep the Rainbow Crystals rather than let the Sailor Senshi have them.
When the fragments reunited and became the Silver Crystal, it restored his memories, as well as those of the Sailor Senshi. He remembered that he was Prince Endymion of Earth who was together with Princess Serenity.
Tuxedo Mask/Mamoru, shortly after regaining his memory, was captured by the Dark Kingdom and brainwashed to do their bidding until the end of the season. He fought against the Sailor Senshi alongside Shitennou, Kunzite (although they bickered constantly), although they would frequently fight as Mamoru would subconsciously resist killing Sailor Moon. He was healed near the end of the season, but was once again brainwashed by Queen Beryl, who infused him with Metalia's energy permanently. After the Sailor Senshi die fighting the DD Girls, Sailor Moon fought with him. Despite being immune to Moon Healing Escalation, through Usagi's pleading, he touched the Orgel, returning his memories. However, he died shortly afterwards protecting Usagi from an attack by Queen Beryl. After Sailor Moon's final battle against Super Beryl, the Sailor Senshi (including Mamoru) were resurrected but lost all memories of events in the first season.
Sailor Moon R (Makai Tree arc) Having lost his memories, Mamoru lived his normal life and unlike the Sailor Senshi, it took much longer for him to regain his memories. However, a part of Mamoru still had a heart for Usagi /Sailor Moon and so split from him and became Moonlight Knight, who took Tuxedo Mask's place.
During the Makaiju arc, Usagi tried to help Mamoru remember who he really was and win his love but was unsuccessful. Worse for Usagi, a new kid named An was also competing for Mamoru.
In episode thirteen of the season, the end of the Makai Tree Arc, Moonlight Knight reunited with Mamoru, restoring his memories. An, who Mamoru and the Sailor Senshi discovered were actually their enemies in disguise, left Earth along with Ail, leaving Mamoru open for Usagi.
Sailor Moon R (Black Moon arc) With his memories restored, he and Usagi officially become a couple and Tuxedo Mask returned, but they soon find their relationship disrupted after the arrival of the Black Moon Clan and Chibiusa. During the Black Moon Arc, Mamoru began having dreams again much like the previous season. This time, a mysterious voice kept appearing in his dreams, telling him that if he were to be together with her, the world will perish. Mamoru didn't believe at first but soon became troubled. He temporarily broke up with Usagi, but still came to aid her during battle as Tuxedo Mask and hung out with her as normal friends. Usagi was, nevertheless, heartbroken. She thought Chibiusa was the reason for the breakup and once mistaken another girl, Motoki's sister, to be his new girlfriend. Mamoru would act very cold towards Usagi and once approached Motoki for advice on how to forget about Usagi. Eventually, Usagi did finally come to understand the real reason for the breakup and accepted it and they got back together.
Mamoru's dreams were finally explained after Tuxedo Mask and the Sailor Senshi traveled to 30th Century Crystal Tokyo and met King Endymion. It was revealed that the nightmares were sent by King Endymion, who used the dreams to test the bond between him and Sailor Moon, as their bond would be crucial to defeating the Black Moon Clan.
Mamoru, as Tuxedo Mask, continued battling the Black Moon Clan with the Sailor Senshi until the clan was finally defeated in the second to last episode of the season.
Sailor Moon S With Usagi preparing for her high school entrance exams, Mamoru suggests they don't go on dates after she performs poorly on one of her tests, which leaves Usagi in tears. After Usagi loses her ability to transform into Sailor Moon after her brooch is damaged by a Daimon, Mamoru attempts to cheer her up by showing her an abandoned house full of stray cats. Tuxedo Mask protects her from the Daimon Nekonneru while she is unable to transform and tells Usagi to run away, but she refuses. Instead, she stands with him holding his hands and, when the Daimon attacks, it is completely repelled and their love creates the Spiral Heart Moon Rod. On her birthday, Usagi got disappointed at Mamoru for not knowing what day it was, even though she never even formally told him when her birthday was in the first place. She wanted Mamoru to buy her a pair of glass shoes she liked. Mamoru eventually found out and bought the shoes, which Kaolinite infested with dark energy. The glass shoes turned into the Daimon Cenicienta, which Mamoru tried to defend Usagi from as Tuxedo Mask. Mamoru was temporarily captured but was freed by the Sailor Senshi.
Sailor Moon SuperS Mamoru becomes very busy with his college thesis throughout the series but still continues to help Usagi on her mission. Near the end of the series, Queen Nehelenia begins to spread spider webs to shroud the earth in darkness, which causes Mamoru to feel pain. As his condition worsens, he was forced to stay behind after it was revealed from Pegasus that his entire body is in pain because he is physically linked to earth. It was also revealed that as Prince Endymion, he was the ruler of the Golden Kingdom near Elysion where he entrusted Helios with the Golden Crystal.
Sailor Moon Sailor Stars In the first arc of the 5th season, when Chibiusa is about to leave for the 30th Century, Mamoru falls victim to the "shooting stars", which are actually glass shards from Queen Nehellenia's broken mirror. He accidentally gets one caught in his right eye, causing him pain. He begins seeing images of Nehelenia. This, along with the pain, causes him to become rather agitated, and even violent. During his date with Usagi in the park, he slaps her hand when she was trying to help him, but apologizes. He becomes irritated when his computer rings when he is working, and yanks out the keyboard. He remembers what Usagi said, and decides to take a rest.
When the Mirror Paredri attacks the Inner Sailor Senshi at Hikawa Shrine, Tuxedo Mask appears, only to be afflicted with pain in his eye. After the fight, Usagi and Mamoru walk back to his apartment. Usagi asks if he really is OK, and he assures her that if he rests, he will be better. He then enters his apartment. While washing his face, trying to see whatever is in his eye is out, Mamoru mentions that he feels that his body does not feel like his own. Queen Nehelenia appears to him as an illusion, with her assuring that she will take all that Usagi loves away from her. His right eye glows yellow.
Soon, he is completely entranced by the spell. Like most other people affected, he becomes obsessed with mirrors, constantly looking at them and buying several, refusing to live on with his current life. When Usagi enters his apartment to see if he is alright, she accidentally steps on a mirror, and he becomes mad. He then apologizes, saying that he hasn't been himself. Mamoru tells her that he is not well and will get some rest, but soon returns to the mirrors. Soon, the Inner Sailor Senshi discover that the illness going around and the mirror are linked, and rush to Mamoru's apartment, learning that he has been affected. After discovering that Nehelenia is behind everything, they burst into the room. Usagi tries to talk to Mamoru and help him, but he slaps her away. Nehellenia reveals herself and drags him with her into the mirror, completely unable to hear Usagi or anyone else. For the next two episodes, Mamoru is kept in Nehelenia's castle under the curse. Usagi, without her power, desperately rushes to save him but has to undergo the effects of Nehelenia's curse, and for a short time, forgets about him and her mission to save. When Sailor Chibi Moon and Sailor Saturn reach Nehelenia's castle, Chibiusa desperately calls out for Mamoru. When it seems to work, Nehelenia heightens her anger and attacks them. When Usagi reaches the castle and suffers the disappearance of Chibiusa and the capture of her friends, she feels sympathy for Nehelenia. Her feelings break her nightmare, freeing Mamoru and everyone else. All use their powers to turn Nehelenia back into a child to start over.
After Nehellenia's defeat, Mamoru soon leaves for Harvard in America. Usagi decides to see him off with a smile, but truly doesn't want him to go. Before getting on the plane he gives her a promise ring and the two kiss. Soon, he is on the plane when suddenly a golden light appears and the plane explodes.
Usagi constantly writes to Mamoru after his departure, only to receive no reply. To cover up her depression and worry so she may not worry her friends, she dons a happy demeanor. She finally breaks in episode 194, when Seiya throws his red rose to stop Tin Nyanko, causing her to remember Mamoru and cries. In episode 197, after the plane bound to America exploded, it reveals that it was actually teleported into Galaxia's domain. Tuxedo Mask then meets and fights against Galaxia, only to have his Star Seed extracted. In his last words, he tells Galaxia that the Sailor Senshi will stop her. He mutters "Usako" before fading away.
Mamoru, along with everyone else, is revived in episode 200 and is reunited with Usagi.
Powers Premonitions: Mamoru is able to see future events through his dreams. Transformation Mamoru Chiba does transform into Tuxedo Mask in the anime, although he doesn't say anything to bring about his transformation. A brief transformation scene first appears in episode 19, where he seems to spontaneously transform without even actually planning to do so. However, this transformation was involuntary at the time and he did not recall any of his memories as being Tuxedo Mask. Later, in episode 34, there is an extended transformation sequence (although this is the only time it ever appears). For transformation, he uses an object that looks like a rose that is not completely bloomed yet; when used, the petals turn sky blue and crystallize. After his black cape flails in front of him, he is seen fully transformed (sans his hat). He then tosses his top hat into the air, which begins spinning before eventually landing on his head.
During a meet up with Setsuna, Haruka and Michiru, as they transformed into their Sailor Senshi forms, Mamoru transforms into Tuxedo Mask in a split second as soon as one of the leaves flew close past the screen.
During Restore Naru's Smile: Usagi's Friendship, Tuxedo Mask held one of the Rainbow Crystals. This caused light to emerge from it, transforming him back into Mamoru. It was at this point that he discovered his identity as Tuxedo Mask.
Attacks Throwing Roses Cane Attack Dreidel Attack From Sailor Moon S: The Movie In episode 101, Tuxedo Mask threw a series of roses in a circle around Cenicienta, which created a barrier of rose petals that seemed to harm (or at least delay) her. This was unnamed and its only use.
