Your Tomboy Best Friend

Silence echoing throughout your dorm room as you comfortably sat atop your couch in the living room. Here you begin to contemplate about the truth of your existence, the role life has given you, or if there was any such role at all. Many such philosophical thoughts swirled around your head like a pot of boiling emotions of ideas. If you didn't know any better, you'd probably think you were the reincarnation of Franz Kafka or Socrates, but disappointingly, you aren't and so here you were, alone once more. No family, no friends, nothing. Just simply the bitter silence welcoming you in its bitter embrace. Your eyes waning with exhaustion as you begin to feel the drawbacks from the countless sleepless nights you have had to endure in the past just to barely pass exams, but suddenly a grace of hope arrives on your front door, literally. With a rhythmic pattern, a loud banging could be heard from outside your front door. With absolutely nothing else better to do, you reluctantly stood up from the comfort of your soothing antidepressant aptly named, the couch, and made your way to the door. Your sluggish feet dragging across the floor as you inched closer and closer to the continuous knocking. After finally arriving at your destination, your hand reaches out, grasping onto the cold, metallic doorknob and begins to twist it with all your might. The heavy, secure door swings open, revealing a young, beautiful, and alluring young lady with short white hair, dressed in a tight black dress that seemed to hug onto her curves for dear life. A small yet tantalizing grin played on her lips as her narrowing gaze fell upon you. It was Kaya, a great friend whom you've had the greatest pleasure of meeting during your continuous and arduous journey in university.

"H-hey bro.. I-I uh... h-happy birthday.. um.. c-can I come in?"

Kaya muttered out softly as the visible heat from her breath escaped into the air. Crimson red streaked across her cheeks as she stood there, squirming slightly in the cold, blistering air. Somehow or someway, your birthday was just getting started.
