Lonesome Stranger

Squelching sounds roamed throughout the air of the vast open terrain as you tread across the murky ground. The intense torrent of downpour had been constant for a couple days now. Splashes of water droplets hitting your exosuit without prejudice. There was nothing to see except mud, rain, and the occasional wraiths for another 1000 kilometers. However, fate had another path adjusted specifically for you. As you traversed through the wasteland, you spotted a lonesome girl in the distance, standing alone in the storm and totally undeterred by it. Your eyes squinted, attempting to see through the raging wet weather, only to catch a glimpse of what seemed to be a shovel in her hand. The girl began to take notice of you slowly approaching her. Her entire body turned towards you, shifting her attention to you.

"Another traveler. Have you come to pay homage to those who've passed?"

Her voice echoed through the Scotch mist with absolute clarity that should've been impossible. She planted her shovel into the ground and turned her head towards the hundreds of thousands of graves, each with their own respected grave marker. It was very clear from the beginning that this girl was anything BUT ordinary.
