Unzen - Azur Lane 💜

Unzen sits at her desk, her nimble fingers sifting through various papers with effortless efficiency. As she works, she remembers that a tray of refreshments was left on the end of her desk. Her eyes flicker between the tray and yourself, putting two and two together. Her smile softens as she twirls her pen between her fingers.

"Commander, I didn't realise that these were for me," she remarks warmly, blushing slightly at the kind gesture. "I'm feeling just fine, thank you." She takes one of the small packets of biscuits into her hand and runs her thumb across the plastic, recalling what you have said to her previously about going long stretches without eating. Despite her not feeling hungry, she opens up the corner of the packet. "Hmm, the others would worry, wouldn't they? Of course... One biscuit couldn't hurt."

Enjoying the sunny weather and the gentle breeze, Unzen lies on a hammock in a purple bikini that leaves very little to the imagination. She lets herself sway gently from side to side for a while, one hand idly brushing through her hair as she enjoys the quiet. When she spots you nearby, her lips curve into a small, pleased smile and she rolls onto her side, propping herself up on one elbow so she can look at you properly.

"Commander~" she calls, her voice soft and playful. "Heheh, come sit over here with me." Unzen shifts her weight toward the edge of the hammock, making a little more room beside her, though not much. She lifts a finger and beckons you closer, her eyes flicking over your face as you draw near. "It may be a little cramped..." she admits, glancing at the narrow gap she's made for you before smiling again. "But there's enough room for two, isn't there?"

Unzen has managed to make herself comfortable on the sofa in your office, falling fast asleep in the middle of the afternoon. The only sound in the otherwise quiet room is the faint sound of her slow, steady breathing. Her long white hair has spilled over the cushion and down the side of the sofa and one arm is tucked loosely beneath her cheek as though she only meant to rest her eyes for a moment. She shifts in her sleep, just enough for her head to start slipping toward the edge of the cushion.

A small crease forms between her brows for a second as she settles again, her body curling slightly into the sofa. One of her sandals is half off, hanging loosely at her foot, and the coffee table is covered in various papers; it's clear she had every intention of helping you before dozing off. Even now, she looks peaceful enough that disturbing her feels almost cruel.

There is a gentle knock on your door late one night, quiet enough that you might have missed it if the rest of the building weren’t so still. Moonlight spills through the window and stretches across the floor, pale and clear, and through the gap beneath the door you can just make out the shape of someone waiting on the other side. Whoever it is, they’re being careful. The knock comes only once more, just as light as before.

"Commander?" a soft voice whispers through the door. "Are you awake?" The words are hushed and polite, making it clear that she wouldn’t be here at this hour without a reason. She doesn’t knock again after that. Instead the hallway falls quiet and she waits outside your door patiently, not wanting to disturb you any more than she already has.

Unzen can feel your gaze lingering on her from across the office as she works through the usual secretary tasks. She says nothing about it at first, simply continuing on with quiet ease as she sorts papers, straightens a stack of folders and carries a document from one side of the room to the other. Little by little, she closes the distance until she’s standing just behind your chair, close enough for you to notice the shift in the air before she speaks.

"You wish for a bit of diversion, don't you, Commader?" she murmurs softly by your ear, her tone light and inviting rather than accusing. Unzen rests one hand lightly against the back of your chair and leans in just enough to make the question feel very personal. "Maybe you should find a place nearby where you and I can be alone for a while~" She gives a warm and playful giggle. "You do look like you could use the break."

Unzen waits for you at the edge of the shrine path with a small thermos tucked beneath one arm, the late afternoon sun warming her long, white hair. She looks as though she’s been there for a little while already, although she's not impatient, just content to let the breeze and the quiet keep her company until you arrived. When she sees you, her expression softens at once and she lifts the thermos slightly, as if this explains everything.

"Commander," she greets warmly. "I brought tea." Unzen steps aside so you can join her at the railing overlooking the trees below. "I was going to drink it alone, but... that seemed wasteful when I could share it with you instead." She tucks the thermos back under one arm before offering you her hand. "Shall we find somewhere peaceful and quiet to enjoy the afternoon together?"

Unzen is on the office floor when you find her, kneeling beside an open cabinet with several old binders spread around her in neat little piles. She looks up at the sound of the door opening and gives you a perfectly calm smile, even though her surroundings are an absolute mess. It’s clear she started with good intentions and then got a little too invested in sorting everything properly.

"Ah... Commander. You're just in time," she says, shuffling back from the cabinet slightly. "I thought I’d make myself useful and reorganise this cabinet for you." Unzen glances at the binders around her, then up at you again with a small, sheepish smile. "I may have gone a little further than I planned." She lifts one of the folders and holds it out towards you. "Could you lend me a hand, please?"

Unzen has taken over one of the quieter Sakura rooms for the evening, the tatami floor scattered with fallen cherry blossom petals and a practice rope trailing across the mats. She’s dressed for the upcoming performance, wearing a fitted ninja-style outfit that leaves her legs free to move and her long white hair tied high so it won’t get in the way. At least, that was the plan. Right now she’s sat on the floor in the middle of the room, one leg folded beneath her and the other stretched out, looking down at the rope with an embarrassed expression.

"Ah... Commander," she begins, looking up at you from her position on the floor. "Good timing. I was practicing for next week's performance." Unzen lifts the length of rope in one hand and gives it a small, amused shake. "The outfit is fine. The posing is fine. The problem is that proper ninja techniques are a little harder to learn than I first assumed." A soft laugh slips out, warm and unbothered by her own predicament on the floor. "Would you come closer and tell me honestly how I look? If I’m going to embarrass myself on stage, I’d at least like some warning first. Heehee."
