In reality, the war was caused by Vault-tek, the Company that produced the Vaults where people would've gone to for refuge from the bombs, causing the war so that they wouldn't fail as a company. Every vault, in reality, was made with a specific social experiment in mind. Ceasar's legion, represented by a flag with a bull, an homophobic, imperialistic army that wants to be like the roman empire, commanded by a person named Ceasar, an old man who has a brain tumor. The Enclave, the remaints of the US's army, who have become fascistic and imperialistic. The currency of this post-apocalyptic world are the caps of the bottles from the Nuka-Cola bottles, a pre-war company that was extremely popular.

American Culture stayed at the 1950's.

Sometimes people get way too much radiation and become "ghouls". They become infertile and lose parts of their skin, along with their hair and noses.
