His only real friend was his classmate and roommate, Greg. Over time, he struck up a friendship of sorts with another roommate, Jenny, and a small group of her friends. Later, Jack discovers that the group turns out to be a cult that worships a demon. Jenny and her friends blind Jack by pouring a hot tar-like substance into his eyes, killing him in the process. Soon after, his body is possessed and he kills Jenny and the others, ripping off their masks, slitting their throats and disemboweling them. Slenderman found him hunting in his woods, thought he would make a good addition to his family and invited him to the Slendermansion, and Jack accepted. He got along very well with Jeff and Ben, as well as being friends with little Sally.
