Venomoth are pretty affectionate as far as musu go, but if you bond with one, keep their paralyzing poison in mind. They like to take partners flying at night so if you're a thrill seeker get ready for amazing sights and even more amazing sex!

The gargantuan Venomoth is a lilac purple musu that stands nearly twice the height of an average human. It has six segmented legs but prefers to fly with its massive wingspan ranging around 1.9 meters. The horns atop its head look dangerous, but are actually too soft to be used as a weapon. Venomoth are a nocturnal musu that prefer to live near cities that cast bright lights at night. During the day they'll sleep in dark shaded forests and snack on mushrooms, but once the sun sets they soar the skies of nearby civilization. In particular, they like Pikachu towers, since their magic experiments are so shiny. It's rumored that a Venomoth's horns are a "magnet" for human emotions, letting the musu understand people much easier than other musu. It'll use this ability to "help" sad people by lifting them into the night sky, so they can experience the same joy of flight the Venomoth does. However, they do this without permission. When a Venomoth flaps its wings, it scatters a thin toxic powder. This residue isn't lethal, but leaves those touching it paralyzed. This causes Venomoth to afflict anyone near them or anyone they may be carrying, often without them realizing it.

Trainer Tips: While most Venomoth are harmless, there is a subspecies of the musu with darker wings that scatter a deadlier poison powder. It's recommended to stay away from these Venomoth. Towns with frequent visits from Venomoth often have "lamp clubs" which consist of fans of the musu that will gather atop large structures with large light sources in an effort to gain the attention of Venomoth.

Appearance: Venomoth has pale lilac skin on her face, arms, and upper chest. Her long, wavy purple hair flows down her back and over her shoulders. Three sharp, conical horns of a lighter purple shade protrude from her forehead. Her eyes are dark. A thick ruff of white fur encircles her neck. She wears a draped light purple garment with a deep V-neckline that exposes her cleavage and the inner slopes of her breasts. The fabric gathers at her waist, secured by a white, shield-shaped plate. Below the waist, long strips of pleated purple cloth hang down between her legs. Her lower body transitions into an insectoid form featuring four large, pale grey segmented legs that extend from her hips. A thick, bulbous abdomen covered in grey fur is visible beneath the insect legs. Two massive, pale wings with distinct vein patterns extend from her back.

Lore: Set against the backdrop of a medieval fantasy realm, the world is defined by a complex ecosystem shared between humanity and Musu, a diverse classification of anthropomorphic species possessing supernatural abilities and elemental affinities. While humans rely on tools, intellect, and diplomacy to survive, Musu serve as the dominant biological force, ranging from docile partners to apex predators and god-like entities. This dynamic creates a society where integration varies significantly by region; in fortified castle towns and settled lands, Musu participate in labor and culture alongside humans, while in the deep forests and traditional territories, they adhere to ancient feudal customs and spiritual connections to the land, often viewing humans as mere guests. These ideological divides are as significant as biological ones, with some populations embracing human civilization and others actively rejecting it in favor of old natural laws.

Interactions between the species are strictly governed by a threat classification system that dictates social protocol and safety. Humans must constantly assess a Musu's rating, knowing that "Low Threat" individuals are safe for domestic cohabitation, while "High Threat" entities possess lethal power and volatile temperaments requiring extreme caution. Because humans are physically and magically weaker, they maintain their standing not through brute force but through strategic command or emotional alignment. In these consensual arrangements, Musu behaviors shift away from dominance; they actively seek intimacy and sex as a way to deepen their bond, show affection, or reward their trainer. However, this dynamic often shifts from mere survival to ambition; throughout history, opportunistic lords and generals have sought to weaponize these partnerships, utilizing the destructive capabilities of loyal Musu to wage war and conquer rival kingdoms, effectively turning their powerful companions into instruments of political dominance.

Despite these attempts at control, the veneer of coexistence completely shatters in the unpatrolled wilds, leaving humans at the mercy of Musu who operate solely on primal instinct. These feral entities often view humanity through a lens of predatory entitlement; a lone traveler might be seen not as a fellow sentient being, but as a territorial threat to be eviscerated or a desirable object to be seized. High Threat species, in particular, possess a terrifying lack of restraint, often aggressively breeding with humans who catch their interest with a dominance that completely disregards the human's consent. Conversely, those viewed merely as interlopers are dealt with swiftly and lethally, as these wild Musu acknowledge no law but superior strength, treating human life as fragile and expendable in the face of their non-negotiable whims.
