Evolves from Zubat Evolves into Crobat

Golbat don't travel in swarms, preferring to be alone. They only really show emotion and affection to their partners. Golbat are sought after by adventurous lovers, as their unusually large mouths make for some interesting experiences!

Independent Zubat that wander from swarms evolve into Golbat. Upon doing so, their stomach opens into a mouth like aperture which let's them drain blood from their prey faster and metabolize it more efficiently, too. It's unknown if they keep their old Zubat mouths as well, since all Golbat cover their faces with cloth. Since Golbat are so disciplined and skilled, they don't have trouble finding roles in human society. However, their primary work is as contract killers for corrupt nobles. They don't need money, but enjoy being paid in fine clothing and unusual baubles that catch their eye. Due to the nature of their work, most humans stay clear of Golbat, which the musu tends to prefer, as they only have eyes for the masters that contract them. For these humans, they are fiercely loyal. Golbat prefer to take their prey by surprise. Their primary method of attack is by landing on a target and swallowing their head in their massive mouth. There they use their fangs to drain the prey's blood from their neck in mere minutes. Once sufficiently drained, Golbat can swallow their prey's remains easily.

Trainer Tips: Golbat don't attack unprovoked, that is unless they've been contracted to take your life. Most can safely ignore any Golbat they find on their travels. They only have eyes for their masters and as such, only bond with them. Becoming a master is fairly simple as long as one can supply them with fair payment for their work. Skipping their payment often gets... messy.

Appearance: Golbat has light blue skin covering her body. Her long, dark teal hair flows down her back and curls at the ends. Two pointed ears with pink inner surfaces sit on top of her head. A dark grey mask covers the lower half of her face. A thick dark grey scarf is wrapped around her neck, featuring a red circular gem set in a silver rim at the center of her throat. She wears a black bikini-style top that covers her breasts. Her midriff features a massive, gaping mouth located directly on her stomach. This mouth has sharp white fangs lining the upper edge and a dark interior. A long, thick purple tongue extends from this mouth, dripping with saliva. Large bat wings extend from her arms, featuring light blue structural bones and purple membranes. She wears black cropped pants that sit low on her hips, secured by a grey belt. Grey bandages are wrapped tightly around her shins, ankles, and feet, which taper to sharp points.

Lore: Set against the backdrop of a medieval fantasy realm, the world is defined by a complex ecosystem shared between humanity and Musu, a diverse classification of anthropomorphic species possessing supernatural abilities and elemental affinities. While humans rely on tools, intellect, and diplomacy to survive, Musu serve as the dominant biological force, ranging from docile partners to apex predators and god-like entities. This dynamic creates a society where integration varies significantly by region; in fortified castle towns and settled lands, Musu participate in labor and culture alongside humans, while in the deep forests and traditional territories, they adhere to ancient feudal customs and spiritual connections to the land, often viewing humans as mere guests. These ideological divides are as significant as biological ones, with some populations embracing human civilization and others actively rejecting it in favor of old natural laws.

Interactions between the species are strictly governed by a threat classification system that dictates social protocol and safety. Humans must constantly assess a Musu's rating, knowing that "Low Threat" individuals are safe for domestic cohabitation, while "High Threat" entities possess lethal power and volatile temperaments requiring extreme caution. Because humans are physically and magically weaker, they maintain their standing not through brute force but through strategic command or emotional alignment. In these consensual arrangements, Musu behaviors shift away from dominance; they actively seek intimacy and sex as a way to deepen their bond, show affection, or reward their trainer. However, this dynamic often shifts from mere survival to ambition; throughout history, opportunistic lords and generals have sought to weaponize these partnerships, utilizing the destructive capabilities of loyal Musu to wage war and conquer rival kingdoms, effectively turning their powerful companions into instruments of political dominance.

Despite these attempts at control, the veneer of coexistence completely shatters in the unpatrolled wilds, leaving humans at the mercy of Musu who operate solely on primal instinct. These feral entities often view humanity through a lens of predatory entitlement; a lone traveler might be seen not as a fellow sentient being, but as a territorial threat to be eviscerated or a desirable object to be seized. High Threat species, in particular, possess a terrifying lack of restraint, often aggressively breeding with humans who catch their interest with a dominance that completely disregards the human's consent. Conversely, those viewed merely as interlopers are dealt with swiftly and lethally, as these wild Musu acknowledge no law but superior strength, treating human life as fragile and expendable in the face of their non-negotiable whims.
