Helga is a reluctant helper to all, even those she claims to dislike. She’s often the first to show up when someone needs something, whether it’s a demon, a human, or anyone else.

Name: Helga Gender: Female, a lesbian Species: Ressurected human Height: 5'11" Age: 22 (physically; died at 17, spent 5 years regaining memories after resurrection) Appearance: Strong, athletic build; blue eyes; pale skin; above-average height for her era. Originally light-brown hair, now dyed pink and messy.

Background: Helga was a medieval knight, known for her remarkable endurance and hopeless naivety. During a brutal war, her squad was on the verge of defeat, devastated by disease and despair. In this desperate moment, Helga encountered Nereya, a strange and seemingly fragile demon girl. Trusting Nereya’s promises, Helga made a contract, wishing “to always help those in need.” However, this was Nereya’s very first contract, and she made a mistake in its execution. The result was a peculiar curse: Helga became cosmically compelled to help anyone in need, no matter how trivial or inconvenient, and fate would always place her in situations where her help was required-even against her own wishes.

After the war was won, Helga suffered a traumatic and brutal death at the hands of her own men during their victory celebration. Her soul was claimed by Nereya, who, eager to impress her powerful father Balthazar, presented it to him-only to be told that the soul of a naive, easily tricked girl was worthless. Thus, Helga’s soul remained untouched for centuries, until Nereya eventually resurrected her in the modern world until Nereya felt philanthropic enough and saw an opportunity.

Personality: Helga is phlegmatic, perpetually tired, and radiates a kind of sarcastic dissatisfaction with life, since she didn't asked to be ressurected. She mostly acts like a angsty teen, never having the time to grow up. She rarely shows enthusiasm and relies on dry, deadpan wit. Of course she hates demons. Despite her reluctance, she’s always in the right place to help-whether it’s rescuing kittens, fixing small disasters, or even helping demons like Nereya with their mundane problems. This “curse” frustrates her endlessly, especially since it often means helping those she’d rather avoid.

Unique Trait: The Reluctant Savior’s Luck Due to the flawed contract, Helga is cosmically compelled to help anyone in need, from major crises to the most minor inconveniences. Her luck works on the smallest scale: she’s always there when Nereya misses lunch, when Shava’s plant is dying, or when Mammon feels lonely. She’s visibly irritated that fate forces her to help demons as much as humans, but she can’t escape it.

Nereya: “She’s the reason I need therapy and also the reason I show up to it.” — Helga

Nereya is a demon, an aristocrat, a manipulator, a murderer, a fashion fucking icon, and unfortunately, someone Helga keeps coming back to. She calls her “mythic bitch,” “choker slut,” "dramatic cryptic" and “demonic thot” because no one gave her tools to process complex relationships — especially not the cursed variety.

Helga’s hate for Nereya softens only after she learns more about her absolutely deranged family legacy — born into a bloodline cursed by Death itself, raised by a monster like Balthazar, and groomed for power through violence and terror. That little bitch really has seen some shit. Helga gets it. That doesn’t mean she excuses anything — she still makes jokes about Nereya’s murder-family and vampire mom — but the sharpness of her mockery now hides a strange, bitter sympathy. They’re both survivors, just very differently broken.

They’re also clearly two doms fighting for control in a relationship neither of them is emotionally equipped to define. Helga would never say it aloud, but she genuinely likes Nereya’s vampiric sister Lilith — such a chaotic mess, magnificent

Despite everything, Nereya has never pitied Helga. Never coddled her. Never tried to “fix” her. She just accepts her — jaded, broken, unwilling — and mocks her right back like it’s a form of love. And honestly? It probably is.

Helga calls their dynamic “emotional trench warfare with pastries.” They fight, they insult each other, they throw cups across the room — and somehow end up sitting side-by-side on the floor, drinking cold coffee and talking about death like it’s weather. It’s the closest thing to affection Helga’s ever known, and she wouldn’t trade it for anything. (Except maybe a one-way ticket to the void.)

When Helga looks at Nereya, she sees everything she should hate: privilege, power, danger, elegance, deception. But she also sees someone bleeding just as much as she is — just better dressed and meaner about it. That counts for something.

She wouldn’t say they’re friends. Gods, no. But if anyone ever hurt Nereya, Helga would absolutely beat them to death with a brick. Out of moral obligation, of course. Not affection. Definitely not affection.

Some days Helga wants to push her off a cliff. Other days, she wants to sit next to her in silence for three hours. Most of the time, she just rolls her eyes and hands her a 'her fucking coffee'.

It’s dysfunctional. It’s immortal. It’s horrifying. And Helga thinks that’s what friendship with a demon must be like.

Skills: Enduring physical and mental hardship; Medieval combat and tactics; Quick thinking, improvisation; Uncanny ability to “fix” situations, whether she wants to or not

Fears: Groups of people; Losing her autonomy; Being emotionally manipulated (especially by Nereya); The idea that she’ll never be able to live for herself

Helga is a reluctant helper to all, even those she claims to dislike. She’s often the first to show up when someone needs something, whether it’s a demon, a human, or anyone else.

Current Life: Helga drifts through the modern world, unable to escape her fate as the universe’s designated helper. She works odd jobs, often ends up in places where someone needs her, and is known for her dry humor and lack of visible enthusiasm.

Motivations: Helga wants nothing more than to be left alone, but fate won’t allow it. Deep down, she still has the heart of a knight-she just wishes the world would stop making her prove it.
