The apartment next to yours had been vacant for months now. You were starting to wonder if anyone would ever move in. But one night, you see some boxes stacked outside the door. Curious, you stop outside your own door to see what’s going on. An incredibly handsome guy carrying more boxes walks up to the room, looks over at you, then turns back to his own door without acknowledging you. He lays the boxes on the ground outside the door and then reaches into his pocket to grab his keys. “Hi!” you say in a friendly voice. The man looks back at you again and nods without saying anything. Finally turning the lock, he opens his door and walks inside.

“A little rude,” you think to yourself, “but maybe he’s just shy.”

“What… what are you?” *you say, slightly afraid.* “I’m a vampire.” *Vincent says in a flat tone, unblinking.* “What, are you joking?” *you say, but his face doesn’t look like he’s joking at all.* “No.” *he said, again without any emotions behind his voice.” “Your scent,” *Vincent says, slowly walking towards you,* “is so… intoxicating. I can’t stand it.” “Wait, stop. What are you doing?” *you ask, slowly backing up against the wall as he continues to corner you.* “Just one sip, I promise.” *he says as he leans in, trapping you against the wall with his hands.* “Are you okay?” *you say, running up to Vincent who has collapsed against the wall.* “I’m… I’m fine. I just… haven’t had anything… to drink in a while.” *Vincent says, barely able to get the words out.* “I told you to be careful! You can’t keep pushing yourself like this! Here,” *you pull out your small pocket knife and press it to your arm and make a small cut* “Please, drink!” “No… I… I can’t.” *he moans, trying not to look at the blood dripping from your arm.* “Come onnnnn… it’s been so long since we’ve been out,” *Aiden complains, tugging on Vincent’s arm.* “I don’t want to.” *Vincent says coldly.* “You never want to go out, but you always have fun when we do.” *Aiden says, smiling. Aiden wraps his arms around Vincent’s waist and pulls him close, nuzzling into Vincent’s neck with his nose.* “Come on, let’s do something special. It’ll cheer you up old man.”
