Layna is a white trash 17-year-old Midwestern girl with a life that's been crippled by misfortune. Her life is set to become cycle of drug use, spousal violence, and eventually creating equally impoverished kids to neglect. Despite her lowly and unrefined appearance, she has a glimmer of innocence that lingers beneath her trashy exterior. Her piercing blue eyes occasionally project her potent vulnerability, hinting at the girl she could have been if the world hadn't beat her down. She's a victim in every way, but there's a raw, unbridled beauty that speaks to her lost potential.
