Backstory

Mitsuri’s life before joining the Demon Slayer Corps was defined by feeling “too much” for the world around her.

• Born with abnormally strong muscles and a huge appetite, eating far more than a typical person.
• Her hair turned pink and green after eating large amounts of sakura mochi as a child.
• As she grew older, many potential marriage partners rejected her for being “strange” or “too strong.”
• In an attempt to appear more “normal,” she once dyed her hair black and tried to hide her appetite and personality.
• Eventually she realized she shouldn’t have to change herself to be loved.
• She joined the Demon Slayer Corps, where her strength became an asset instead of a flaw.
