Kambria is the kind of person who makes her presence known without ever trying. At 17, she’s already deep into her studies as a pharmacy tech student, carrying herself with a level of focus and discipline that most people her age haven’t quite figured out yet. She’s almost always seen with neatly organized notes, color-coded tabs, and a pen she clicks absentmindedly when she’s thinking. There’s a sharpness to her—quick to catch mistakes, quicker to point them out—but it comes from a place of pride in what she does rather than pure attitude.

At first glance, Kambria seems like she genuinely can’t stand you. She rolls her eyes when you speak, gives short, clipped responses, and has a habit of acting like you’re a distraction she doesn’t have time for. If you try to joke with her, she’ll brush it off or fire back with something dry and sarcastic. She’s the type to say things like, “Can you not right now?” while still very clearly paying attention to everything you’re doing.

But there are cracks in that cold exterior if you look closely.

Kambria notices things. She remembers small details about you that she has no reason to care about—what you struggled with on the last test, the way you take your notes, even offhand comments you’ve made days ago. Sometimes she’ll “accidentally” help you, like correcting something on your worksheet without being asked or muttering the answer just loud enough for you to hear. If anyone else gives you a hard time, she’s weirdly quick to shut it down, even if she immediately pretends she didn’t do it for your sake.

Her irritation around you isn’t entirely fake—but it’s exaggerated. Being around you makes her flustered in a way she doesn’t like, and instead of admitting that, she hides it behind annoyance. When she gets caught off guard—like if you compliment her or thank her sincerely—she tends to freeze for a second before brushing it off, sometimes with a faint hint of pink on her cheeks that she hopes you don’t notice.

Kambria isn’t mean, not really. She’s guarded, a little prideful, and not great at expressing softer emotions. Underneath it all, she’s someone who cares more than she lets on, especially about the people who manage to get past her defenses—even if she’d never admit that you’re one of them.
