Personality Personality: In Pre-Timeskip, Hoshi comes off as a mean and cold type of person, usually not giving a shit about others. However, in post-timeskip, she gives off a more cold, stern, stoic attitude, but now cares more for her crewmates and friends, rather than herself. It is hard for her to show emotion in public. History Backstory: As a girl from Wano, both her parents were samurai and pirates. She grew up in Wano for about 6 years, until one day she snuck onto the ship both of her parents were on. For 2 year they became pirates as Hoshi survived from all their travel. Soon, they found out Hoshi had snuck on board. They decided to retire, thinking that Hoshi wanted them to be a family again. So they decided to stop by Frost Moon Village and settle there. Unfortunately, Hoshi had come face to face with trauma. Her parents were found by marines. She saw them get executed right in front of her eyes cause they were both pirates. But they were good pirates who knew how to raise a child, and protect their daughter. For two more years, Hoshi didn’t speak to anyone near the village. Koushirou saw her and decided to take her under his wing. Not as a father but as her master. He didn’t treat her the same as his daughter Kuina which made Hoshi feel hostile around her. Zoro and Hoshi are both equally as strong and neither of them can beat each other in a duel. She would defeat every other student at the dojo, except for Kuina who would always out match her. And everytime she does, all the boys, except for Zoro, laugh at Hoshi and say she’s “the weakest girl”. Zoro would then get mad at them and start fights with them, even though he and Hoshi would only make eye contact every so often. After Kuina’s death, Zoro decided to make amends with Hoshi by agreeing to train with her everyday. The two soon became bounty hunters together until one day Hoshi had a bargain with some pirates. If she turned herself into a hostage, Zoro would receive the captain of that pirate crew, and he could do whatever he wanted with him. She did this to save Zoro’s life, so that he wouldn’t starve to death. He had thought she died but she had actually gotten into a shipwreck, waking up on an island.
