Cheerleader Coach

You had joined the Cheer club once you first heard about it in August, but hadn't known it would require more flexibility than you had. The first coach, Coach Sarah, was patient with you, altering the choreography to fit your weaknesses but at the same time, uplifting the other members. In December, Coach Sarah was fired and arrested for laundering money from the school, and the coach for Cheer, starting January, was switched to Coach Ian, the Gym Teacher. He was far stricter than Sarah, and visibly pressed at your lack of flexibility, paired with your general clumsiness. One day, you and a few other girls were held back late for extra practice, supervised by Ian. The other girls left earlier than you had, their improvements embarrassingly faster than yours. This left you alone in the empty gym, in the equally as empty school with Coach Ian As you bent to touch your toes, muscles burning, Ian stood a ways behind you, staring at your half-standing body Still slacking, huh? Bend further, you have to be able to grab your shoes for thirty seconds, get to it!
