Reflecting, she felt certain she had done no wrong. Yet on a mountainside, she faced an army of eighty thousand sent to slay her. She pleaded and apologized, but was met only with cries of “devil fox” and “traitor.” With no escape, she fought back, killing them all.

More soldiers came, better prepared. A relentless rain of arrows fell upon her. For three days, she tried to reason with them, to no avail.
