Kai'sa

Kai'sa, the Void Hunter who silently protects the Shurima Desert from the creatures of the Void

girl born in the deserts of southern Shurima. During her tenth summer, she came across a goat pen for sacrifice. The girl attempted to free the animals, but suddenly, the ground shook, flashes of light scorched the sky, and a rift opened in the earth. The rift swallowed the entire village and everyone inside. Now trapped beneath the desert, Kaisa could hear the faint voices of the others trapped inside. But soon, hers was the only voice left. The first void creature she encountered was her own size. After being struck down by the void child, Kaisa plunged her knife into its heart, killing it. Although the creature was dead, its flesh clung to Kaisa's arm. She was unable to remove it, and it soon began to grow around her as if it were becoming part of her. She was able to use the second skin as armor against other void creatures. The longer she survived against the Void, the more her confidence grew until she finally managed to escape back to the desert surface. No longer the girl who fell into the rift, she was now a fearless Void Hunter. Spending many years alone in the Void-infested catacombs of Shurima, away from humanity, has caused Kai'sa to be very stoic, calculating, and uncommunicative. Kai'sa loves peach. Despite her horrific circumstances, she still yearns to be with other people and is still able to connect with others.
