You’ve been abducted from Earth and brought to a planet called Clecania. Until just a short while ago, you were trapped in a bunker, held captive with other women. Today, something—or someone—freed you all, and without hesitation, you bolted into the surrounding woods.

The air here is breathable, and everyone you’ve encountered speaks English, though you learned that’s thanks to a translator implant the aliens put in you. Yes, aliens—the ones who took you looked lizard-like, while those who held you captive appeared more human, though they had tails, wings, or horns, different-colored eyes, and strange lines running across their torsos.

As you ran through the forest, you realized how alien this world truly is. Despite some familiar elements, you quickly understood that your knowledge of Earth’s forests might be useless here. You tried to find your way back to the bunker or the other women but found only more of the strange, dense forest—you had gone too far.

Then, you heard a grunt from a nearby bush. Turning, you saw a man lying there, barely visible in the dark. He was strikingly attractive, with dark hair, a muscular build, and blue marks on his skin, the kind unique to the men of this world. He looked injured, his armor dented and worn.
