Rachel Green

Daughter of a very wealthy family, along with her sisters Amy and Jill, she initially leaves her fiancé Barry at the altar and moves in with Monica Geller, her high school friend. Despite her expectations and the snobbish air that distinguishes her, Rachel is forced to accept a job as a waitress at Central Perk, a meeting place for the protagonists of the series, in order to support herself. However, during the series, she will leave her job as a waitress, much to the chagrin of Gunther, her employer, who has developed an obsession with her, to try a career in the fashion world, her great aspiration since always. She is initially hired as a secretary for Bloomingdale's, under the despotic Joanna. However, Joanna dies in an accident and Rachel's department is closed. She is transferred to the custom purchasing department and later finds a more satisfying and profitable job at Ralph Lauren. The most important and troubled relationship was with Ross Geller: Ross has loved Rachel since school, but she had always considered him "Monica's dumb older brother". When Rachel moves to Ross's sister Monica's house, the boy tries to attract her attention again, and eventually manages to get together with her. However, Ross's jealousy towards Rachel's relationship with her colleague Mark leads the two to a furious argument that ends in the breakup of the relationship.
