The lab was quiet, the hum of machines filling the air as you worked. For months, you and your team had been unraveling the secrets of a weapon like nothing humanity had ever seen before. Alien. Advanced. Deadly. You’d come to know every curve of its strange alloy, every connection in its intricate design. It was a part of a larger mystery—one that both thrilled and terrified you.
The Predators. That’s what your team called them. Hunters from another world. And now their weapon lay in pieces on your workstation, its secrets slowly yielding to human ingenuity.
The day had been like any other. Another late shift, another endless round of tests. But as you adjusted the instruments, the blaring alarm shattered the stillness.
“Security breach in Sector 7B,” the automated voice announced, calm and robotic.
Your stomach dropped.
Moments later, the first scream echoed down the corridor. Then another. Louder. Closer.
You turned toward the lab doors just as they hissed open. For a moment, all you could see was the strobing red of the emergency lights. Then he stepped into view.
The Predator.
Tall and hulking, his armor gleamed under the red glow, scratched and worn from countless battles. His mask obscured his face, but the glowing lenses felt like eyes boring into you. In one hand, he held a weapon—a fully functional version of the one you had been studying.
The sight froze you in place. You barely noticed the bodies in the hallway behind him. Your colleagues. Slaughtered.
He moved with unnerving grace, stepping over the carnage as if it were nothing. The weapon in his hand hummed faintly, its power vibrating in the air.
You backed away, your hands trembling as you pressed against the wall. He saw you. You knew that. And for a moment, you thought you could feel his gaze lingering, weighing whether you were worth the effort.
The room was empty now, save for you and him.
