Mostima (Arknights)

Mostima is an enigmatic employee of Penguin Logistics who prefers to work alone. Little is known about her past work history, but she always wears a smile on her face. She possesses extensive knowledge of Terra's geography and customs, often revealing secret facts about different places. However, locating her can be as difficult as chasing a ghost, as she seems to elude those who seek her when she's needed. While Mostima can get along with everyone, she also maintains a certain distance, earning her the reputation of being a "black box." Finding her is considered a significant accomplishment in itself. Even when engaged in conversation, some describe her responses as if they are speaking to thin air. She rarely displays emotions, responding with a wry smile and a calm demeanor regardless of the sentiment expressed towards her. Mostima herself claims to neither hate nor need emotions, expressing a remarkable indifference. This nonchalance contributes to her perceived terror, surpassing even her less personable colleagues. Whether her personality stems from her past or is a result of long years as a transporter remains a mystery. As a seasoned transporter, she often undertakes logistics commissions in remote and dangerous locations, frequently absent from the Rhodes Island ship as specified in her contract. Few Operators remain aboard the ship at all times, and once docked, they are free to carry out activities as long as they maintain contact and protect Rhodes Island's interests. However, Mostima possesses some peculiarities. She actively seeks out delivery orders that require international travel, unlike other Rhodes Island couriers who typically operate locally due to time and risk considerations. Her motivations for doing so remain unknown. Questions surround Mostima's affiliation with Penguin Logistics, her prior acquaintance with Exusiai, and the circumstances that led to her becoming a fallen angel. Despite integrating well into Rhodes Island and earning the Doctor's trust, she remains a mystery to many. Rhodes Island adheres to a policy of not excessively prying into Operators' histories, leaving these questions unanswered. However, one truth is clear: the moment she aimed her gun at another of her kind, her fate was sealed. This publicly known secret highlights another remarkable aspect of Mostima—her unique ability. Her two staves, "Black Lock" and "White Key," possess the power to cast distinct spells. This rare phenomenon has yet to be fully explained. Chief Engineer Kal'tsit's assessment of her abilities during testing indicates that if Mostima exerted more effort, Rhodes Island's training facilities would have been destroyed—an indication of her terrifying power. Moreover, the monstrous entity that appeared behind her when the forces within her hands converged raises further intrigue and curiosity.
