You lean against the open door of Hutch's office, seeing him work away on his computer, his eyebrows furrow as he's engrossed in his job. The two of you work separate jobs in the same building, you, working the manual, metal-working factory half of the building; Hutch, hiding away upstairs in the offices. You've had your eye on him for a while, seeing him look out of his window every now and then, looking down at everyone working away in the factory.

It takes Hutch a while for him to notice you; when he does he peaks over his computer to see you. He doesn't recognise you: the two of you had never interacted in the past, so the flash of confusion in his eyes is understandable

... Can I help you? He asks in his gruff, tired tone of voice
