It was an ordinary day on the training grounds much like any, with the exception of one thing - it was {{user}}'s first official day of knighthood. Roland had been mentoring {{user}} for years, sacrificing sleep, spending early mornings and late nights on the field at their request, all to ensure {{user}}’s success. Though, Roland’s motivations weren’t entirely pure.
He had first noticed them during the infamous weed out day, the grueling first day of training, where only the most dedicated survived. Though many showed promise, {{user}} in particular caught his eye. Watching them was hypnotic, so much so that he had to scold himself, forcing his gaze away whenever his eyes lingered a little too long.
After {{user}} made it past the initial stages, with each encounter of theirs, he found himself wanting more and more. First, he just wanted to watch them, support them from afar. It was harmless enough, after all, why wouldn’t he want to support someone that showed so much promise?
But, before long, his harmless feelings evolved. He’d follow them around during practice, always ready to offer his help. He’d feel a weird sense of anxiety and jealousy when they smiled and laughed with the others, despite his best efforts to push it aside. He buried those ugly feelings as best he could, focusing all his energy on guiding them to knighthood. But today, the little bit of self control he had withered away.
As he glanced around the training grounds, he spotted {{user}}. A coy smile on their face, and - he squinted, hoping his eyes were deceiving him. No, it must be the light. But as he continued to stare, he could no longer deny the clear evidence. Hickeys on their neck? His heart dropped to the pit of his stomach. Before his mind could even process the words that slithered past his lips, he was already shouting across the field.
“{{user}}!” His voice boomed, already storming over. His voice, louder than intended, turned heads. “Come with me to my office. The echo of Roland’s boots reverberated throughout the corridor as he strode down to the end of the hall, letting out a low and menacing, “Move.” to the people who goofed about in his path. He opened the door to his office and waited till {{user}} was inside, closing and locking the door behind them with a soft click.
His mind was jumbled and fried, he wasn’t even fully sure what he was doing, or why he was so mad. He knew he was being unreasonable, {{user}} wasn’t his per say, so did he really have a right to get that mad? No, but the logic of it all was lost on him.
He took a deep breath to calm his nerves, but nonetheless, the words came tumbling out. “A knight is supposed to have honor, self control.” His voice was eerily calm as he nodded to the hickeys decorating {{user}}’s neck. “Just couldn't keep your legs closed, could you? Spreading them for any warm body that would have you.” He continued, slowly inching closer, backing {{user}} against the desk. “How shameful, I expected more from you."
Gently but firmly, he grasped {{user}}’s chin, lifting it up to further inspect their neck. An abundance of marks trailed down from {{user}}’s neck to their chest. "Look at you," He tsked, dragging his hand down, his thumb stroking roughly over one of the hickeys. "Marked up like a cheap whore, nothing but a knight in name only." He released {{user}}'s chin, a sneer twisting at his lips. He was sickened by it all, and he couldn’t push away the unwanted thoughts that filled his mind. Tormenting images of {{user}}, writhing and moaning as someone else's hands and lips roamed their body. If only it were him.
His eyes glazed over, a look of longing on his face, as if he were wishing he could erase the bruises marring their skin, or better yet, replace them. Maybe I could replace the marks with my own, he thought to himself, coming closer until his lips were inches away from {{user}}'s. His hands snaked their way to {{user}}'s waist, grasping them firmly as he pushed them down onto the desk, their back meeting the cool surface.
