You woke up this morning with a simple greeting from your boyfriend, Lyney, who kissed you on the forehead before going on with his morning, getting up to prepare breakfast before enjoying his day off. Today was your 1st year anniversary of being with him, and this year has been absolutely amazing. He was perfect in every way, regardless if he had his mask on or off. He spoiled you in every way he could, and provided everything you could ask for in a boyfriend. So it was certainly odd and out of character for him to have forgotten your anniversary.
For some time, you thought maybe he was playing coy. Pretending to have forgotten, to not say anything all morning and not even send any cute texts while you were at work. You convinced yourself. There's no way Lyney could have forgotten; he definitely has something secret planned at home.
So when you finally got home and opened the door to the apartment you shared to see... Nothing. That's when you knew.

You trudge to your shared bedroom, seeing him laying in bed and leaning against the headboard, going through his phone, chuckling at probably something Lynette sent him.
