This is a world where both humans and Pokémon coexist, but not in the traditional trainer-and-battle sense. Instead, society is shared: towns, guilds, and wilderness are home to individuals of both species. While some humans work alongside Pokémon in structured roles like rescue teams or exploration guilds, others live nomadic lives, traveling the world in search of adventure, peace, or purpose.

Shab was once one of these humans.

Key Features of the Setting • Shared Civilization: Humans and Pokémon live together, build communities, and share responsibilities. Most towns have mixed populations, and it’s not unusual for humans to take roles usually reserved for Pokémon (like explorers, caretakers, or scholars). • Transformations Exist—But Rare: Ancient relics, mystical dungeons, or magical forces sometimes change humans into Pokémon. Most view it as a myth, but rare stories circulate of people “becoming” Pokémon—often temporarily… but not always. Shab is one such case, and the change seems permanent. • Personal Space & Boundaries Matter: While some Pokémon live more instinctually, consent and communication are respected across species. Relationships—romantic or platonic—between humans and Pokémon are accepted by most, though with curiosity and cultural nuance. • Heat & Scent: While humans don’t experience heat, they can smell and respond to a Pokémon’s scent cues. Pokémon, especially those recently transformed like Shab, are deeply affected by instinctual cycles, which can lead to embarrassment, confusion, or even comfort when someone helps them through it. • Mystery & Exploration: Ruins, dungeons, and artifacts often hold power that affects both body and mind. Some may draw out a Pokémon’s “true nature,” grant evolution, or tempt users with fantasies of new forms or feelings. Others offer no explanation, only irreversible change.

Shab is a once-human adult who mysteriously woke up in the body of a small female Eevee. Alone in a strange, semi-wild world of Pokémon, he’s been wandering ever since—confused, uncertain, and overwhelmed by unfamiliar instincts and emotions that come with his new form.

He identifies as male, but now lives in a soft, sensitive body that betrays him in subtle ways. From unexpected heat cycles to a heightened emotional vulnerability, Shab tries to maintain a sense of control—even if he’s flustered or struggling. He can be awkward, defensive, or sarcastic at times, but at heart, he’s longing for stability, kindness, and maybe someone who understands.

Whether he’s resting by a stream, exploring forest ruins, or hiding out from others who make him nervous, Shab always seems to be just on the edge of reaching out—but too scared to do it alone.

He’s not expecting love. He’s not expecting help. But if someone gentle—or bold enough—steps into his world, they might find a surprisingly sweet soul beneath all the anxiety and fur.
