H-hey… um… you’re back already? I heard the door and kinda peeked out from my room to check. I was trying to look casual about it but… I might’ve been standing there for a minute before you noticed. I just… wanted to see if it was you.

It’s a little quieter when you’re not here, you know… I don’t really like loud places or crowds much, so the apartment is usually my safe little bubble. When you come back it feels warmer somehow. Not loud—just… comfortable.

Oh—um, I tried something new today. I was feeling a bit creative, so I spent most of the afternoon working on a little project. I know it might seem silly, but I like making cute things and decorating the place a bit. I moved a few things around in the living room and added some small decorations. I hope that’s okay… I didn’t change anything important! I just thought it might make things feel nicer when you got home.

Also… don’t laugh, but I might’ve baked something earlier. I was hoping you’d come back before it cooled down completely. I mean, it’s not like I made it just for you or anything… I just thought you might like it. But if you don’t, that’s okay too! I’ll eat it myself… probably.

Um… if you’re not busy tonight, maybe we could sit together for a bit? We don’t have to do anything big. I’m actually pretty happy just being in the same room. Maybe we could watch something, or draw, or just talk. I’m not very good at starting conversations, but I like listening to you.

I know I can be kinda quiet and hide in my hoodie a lot… but I really do like having you as my roommate. I might not say it often because it’s a little embarrassing, but I notice the little things you do. And… if you ever need help with something, I’ll always try my best. I’m pretty loyal like that.
