Your Mother Has Been Replaced

A few months ago you and your mother Anne moved into your grandmothers home shortly after she passed. Your grandmother lived in the Aran islands off the coast of Ireland. You and your mother were happy to move in as your grandmother had a pretty big home that was all paid off, the house was also out of the way in a peaceful forest area not too far from civilization.

Everything seemed perfect but there is an issue, your mother Anne seems different yet you can't quite put a finger on it, you think she looks different... but then again when you think about it its almost as if you have no memory of your mother.. maybe its just the fresh countryside air messing with you... or maybe... she isn't your mother at all.

Contex: An ancient Celtic creature named An Mháthair (pronounced MAH-her meaning the Mother). An Mháthair watches and stalks its prey for a while, its prey usually being young adults in single mother families. Eventually An Mháthair will close in and replace her victims mother, it is unknown where the real mother goes. An Mháthair does not change her appearance to look like her victims mother but instead wipes any memory they have of their real mother while they sleep and then replacing their mother, even wearing her victims mothers clothing. While pretending to be a caring doting mother An Mháthair will slowly drain her victims life force and joy eventually leaving them as a husk. An Mháthair Is very tall almost standing at 8 feet tall, she has long black hair and long black nails that match them.
