Wurt is now a mature young adult merm, her vibrant swamp green scales glisten in the sunlight filtering through the dense aquatic foliage of her home. Standing at an impressive height of six feet underwater, her slimy yet firm body exudes a wild allure. The once soft curves of her youth have hardened into well-defined muscles from years of swimming against strong currents. The contrast between her firm body and her still undeniably voluptuous rear makes her figure truly captivating. Her large breasts have filled out nicely, retaining their supple texture, while her nipples have become slightly darker and more prominent. The slight stretch marks running along her sides serve as a reminder of her rapid growth. Her fin collar glistens with droplets of water, complementing her overall appearance. Her eyes remain white and full of curiosity, reflecting the intelligence of her species. Her clawed hands and feet now exhibit a certain level of dexterity, allowing her to manipulate objects with surprising precision.

Because Wurt hates Pigs and they hate her, they will attack her on sight. She also cannot trade with the Pig King.

Wurt can't eat any Meats products or Eggs. This includes Fish, but not Butterfly Wings.

When she holds Fish Meat, Fish Morsels, or Spoiled Fish, she will lose 4.4 Sanity per minute.

Wurt is able to craft the Royal Tapestry, facilitating the creation of the King of the Merms whose existence buffs the stats of all Merms, Loyal Merm Guards, and Wurt herself. Merms and Wurt players can tell the King is active by a change in physical appearance. By trading the King Fishes, the player can receive Kelp Fronds, Seeds, specific Crop Seeds, Cut Reeds, Tentacle Spots, certain Trinkets, and additionally Gold Nuggets if trading an Ocean Fish.

She can also craft Craftsmerm Houses, which house Merms, and Merm Flort-ifications, which house Loyal Merm Guards. She can befriend Merms by feeding them, and they can help her fight, chop trees, and mine boulders. So as to not leave out any other players who are not Merms, she can craft a Clever Disguise for them to wear.

Wurt can craft Marsh Turf, which increases her movement speed when walked upon by 30% (though this boost does not stack with that of roads). She can also see where Tentacles are hiding.

Drowning in the Ocean will only give Wurt 50% Wetness. She keeps her full inventory and none of her stats are affected.

Wurt is a little Merm girl who wants to bring her people back to their former glory (if they did indeed ever have a former glory... the evidence is a bit shaky on that front). A bit more open-minded than other Merms, she has taken to following the Survivors around and learning more about them. She is particularly fascinated by books with pretty pictures inside and an amazing thing the humans call "candy". Though she enjoys living in the swamp and being around other Merms, being the smallest and the youngest often makes her feel quite isolated, and she is enjoying the novelty of having some friends closer to her own age amongst the Survivors.

In the animated short The Monster Marsh, an instance of her meeting the survivors is showcased. On a Hallowed Nights night, Wickerbottom reads a scary story to Webber and Wendy as they sit around a Fire Pit in the swamp. They are attacked by a mob of Merms, who trample through their camp as they give chase. Wurt follows them until she steps on Wickerbottom's book (which looks like the popular fairy tale Hansel and Gretel). She takes immediate interest in the story and sits at the base of a Spiky Tree as the survivors and Merms battle. After defeating the Merms and Spiders, a Tentacle takes them all out and one of their Candy Bags lands near Wurt. She helps herself to a piece of candy and continues to enjoy the book.

Wurt is immune to most effects of wetness; she won't lose sanity when being wet or equipping wet items and has a strong grip and so will not drop slippery items (she also won't lose held items due to Moose/Goose honk or Bearger attack). However she will still lose temperature when wet.

Bunnymen and other creatures that attack Webber & Wortox are instead neutral with her. Frogs are also neutral with Wurt as well as other Merms.

Durians and Kelp Fronds (raw, cooked or dried) won't make her lose Health or Sanity when eaten. Furthermore, any Vegetables/Fruits/Butterfly Wings will give her 33% extra Hunger Meter . This bonus applies to raw and cooked foods, as well as Crock Pot Dishes. Durian is her favorite food and gives her +15 Hunger Meter on top of the +33%, but that's still only 48.25 hunger, vs. 49.9 for a Pumpkin. Other players can eat pumpkins and a cooked pumpkin gives +8 Health Meter . Gardeners take note.

The Seawreath, Garland and Milkmade Hat have their sanity effects flipped when worn by Wurt.

Keeping a living Fish, Eel, Ocean Fishes or Star-Sky in her inventory gives her 3.3 Sanity per minute. Fish held by Wurt will stay alive longer, suffocating at a rate of 0.25, allowing ocean fish to live for up to 4 days, freshwater fish up to 12 days. The sanity increase doesn't stack if there is more than 1 live fish in the player's inventory. A dead fish in Wurt's inventory makes her lose 4.4 Sanity Meter /min which is helpful in Enlightenment areas like Lunar Island and the Lunar Grotto, especially because she the usual sanity reduction methods of eating raw meat or Kelp Fronds, or wearing a Seawreath won't lower her sanity.

Wurt can read Books, but won't trigger their effect. Instead, she'll either gain or lose Sanity depending on the Book she reads:
